Is there any traffic light system in place? Can So hack in to hold them up and find us an alternoute route to the villa to get the drop on them? Do we need to rent some speeders for tonight?

I like it and I say Wailer is either inside with Dood and Syric or he's outside with Bulwark/Klak as external reinforcements. I don't think we want him on the negotiation team because having a Jedi there could create some issues with the discussion.Reese wrote:The Furiel / Reese Combined Plan:
Cuspar (negotiator) + Eli (protection) - Inside Theater, establishing meting with Ro
Dood & Syric - Inside Theater, Dood places explosives, watch for issues w/ Cuspar / Eli
Klak - Outside theater, near Alleyway (Potentially in Bar), Muscle in case of emergency
Bulwark - Outside scout, watching our moves and communicating to the whole group what is going on (eyes in the sky)
So Leet - In a basement on his computer making sure no one sees us on Camera or confusing any comm / radio about our efforts (Warlock from Die Hard 4)
Wailer - ??? where does Wailer best fit? For my money, he should be part of the negotiation team.
Phase 1 -
Cuspar & Eli approach Ro and try to work with him. Dood places charges, but does nothing else. Conversation is a success, Team re-groups at Sweet Delia
Phase 2 -
If fighting commences in the theater, Dood blows up charges and escapes with Syric. Eli takes Ro and Ra into protection. Team re-groups at Villa to discuss plans with Ro.
Phase 3 -
If Sith attack, Eli takes Ro and Ra into protection. He removes them and Cuspar off planet. Team re-groups at Sweet Delia. Cuspar uses situation to gain trust and get us in to see Kunga.
Phase 4 -
If the conversation is refused and Ro/Ra go to the Villa, Team moves to Villa and shows force against guards, not killing but disarming them. We then pressure Ro to work with us.
Although if the Sith do attack there will be no returning to Bryx to see Kunga, and I'd prefer the other inside team get Ra because if they make a direct attack on the theater that's alot of time in the theater for team fighting fish where we could get overwhelmed. Each interior team has a target, we blow the charges if needed to give us more cover, then we all rendevous at the Sweet D and get the frack off planet. We squeeze everything we can from Ro then drop him off elsewhere because honestly if the Sith do attack, Kunga is probably a dead slug walking and if Mr T is telling the truth that Ro even knows when Kunga last burped there is nothing to be gained by seeing him.
Anyone else have any input, tweaks, suggestions, options we've overlooked?

What would placing and detonating bombs need, stealth or mechanics check?

Okay tonight I made some maps for the two areas you think are vital. There is the alleyway at the theater and the villa complex. Each I can import to be the background image on the OpenRPG thing so that works nicely. I'll also draw up a theater map tomorrow in case that becomes necessary.
I'd like to remind everyone I have little to no artistic ability.

Paul, Bryan and I (and Reese via text chat) mostly talked about the post Cuspar/Ro'Bag contingencies and Wailer's role. We worry about blowing up the theater and drawing too much attention. Bryan strongly favors the carjacking as a contingency. I am leaning that way too.
I also am in the Wailer on Negotiation team camp. He'd need a suit (maybe) and could mind trick guards into leaving or Ro into coming with us. OR, he could be the Jedi assigned to us by the Council to protect us from the Sith (who we, like Kunga, have run afoul of). We'd have to explain why he was at the compound previously but that should be doable.
Just some more thoughts. Maybe another Vent session tomorrow night would be useful.

Yes, planning went well. We are now up to a 32.3% chance of survival. So we've now decided smoke will destroy the theater and that carjacking someone on a busy street is a good idea, and somehow that has improved our chances of success...Cuspar wrote:Paul, Bryan and I (and Reese via text chat) mostly talked about the post Cuspar/Ro'Bag contingencies and Wailer's role. If you're really worried about the smoke bombs then we can remove them from my plan no problem. I'm extrememly confident that Ro will not want to initiate combat in the theater anyway. It's a public place, even the patron's lounge where I assume we would be meeting him is going to have other people in it. He isn't going to want to cause a scene. Especially somewhere that he spends alot of time at. I figure the worst case scenario is that he will stonewall us and "suggest" we leave him alone while trying to intimidate us with his security. At which point combat only ensues if Cuspar and I wish it, and we don't have to push it because we have a backup plan.
I'm curious, in your carjacking scenario, how exactly are you taking out the driver of an armored speeder who never gets out without raising the alarm?

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2 OOC Thread
When did the explosives turn into smoke bombs and when did the luxury speeder become armored? Isn't the speeder supposed to be in the alley, not in the busy street?
Spoiler:
Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2 OOC Thread
The explosives have always been smoke bombs. I said I wanted something that would make a loud noise and produce alot of smoke.
You think the speeder used by the right-hand man of a crime boss isn't armored...that's terribly nieve. And even if it's not armored, I would assume that the driver would be taking even the most basic of security measures and locking his door. How are you going to get at him?
Yes, it's in the alley, but there is still a high volume of people either moving through or past the alley while the speeder is going to be there. You tell me how you are going to get past a likely armored, definately locked door, within 100 yards at most of a bust street, without making noise to alert the crowd, and without the driver noticing so he can't radio a warning.

If the driver doesn't roll down the window so I can talk and use Mind Trick, I could Force Grip him until he passes out and then Move Light Objects to open the door.Furiel wrote:The explosives have always been smoke bombs. This is an off-the-cuff idea so there may be some flaws with it.

I see that now, it got confusing because they've been referred to as explosives everytime after the first mention.Furiel wrote:The explosives have always been smoke bombs. I said I wanted something that would make a loud noise and produce alot of smoke.
It's an assumption, I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but no one has mentioned it before now and it's not verified. Could we disable it with an ion blast, which could cause the driver to get out and see what's wrong? Jump him and get So or myself to fix the car?Furiel wrote:You think the speeder used by the right-hand man of a crime boss isn't armored...that's terribly nieve. How do we know there is a high volume of people the entire time the speeder is there? I agree that when the show lets out there is a lot of people there, but once again it is an assumption that no one has put forth before now. So could mess with the traffic lights at the other end of the block and cause an accident to draw attention away, or knock out power for a few minutes, or we could talk about another distraction.Furiel wrote:Yes, it's in the alley, but there is still a high volume of people either moving through or past the alley while the speeder is going to be there. Since the speeder isn't there the whole performance we were going to follow the speeder to where ever they went and jack them there and drive back and pick them up. It wasn't going to be a carjack in the alley. The other idea is break into the gf's house and lay in wait for he and she. Since his staff doesn't come in when they go home we may be able to get the drop on them.Furiel wrote:The explosives have always been smoke bombs. And hey, ya never know. Maybe just letting cuspar just talk to the dude it may work out. So why don't we lean on that plan and not worry so much about contingencies.
