Re: LPDnD: Gut Feeling
Syric turns to Tony, "Maybe it was a follower of Avandra in life, maybe it was a trick or maybe you were mistaken. I didn't see anything and I was right up in its face. There was a lot of death here, death that came too soon to too many, I think the odds are this spirit was vengeful over helpful."
Syric looks to Trinal and continues, "REGARDLESS, let's consider the larger picture and get what we came for" before looking back and forth between the pair, hoping for a quick resolution.

Trinal still looks confused. Given that he didn't even raise his voice or speak rudely to anyone, he is at an apparent loss as to the hostility, now from two people.
He merely says "of course."

After healing and giving other enough time to heal will look to all of the group "Well I think we can safely move on from here, " Stavis well then settle on Zelvo "when you are ready to guide we can get back to heading where you think we can get the thorium we are looking for."
Re: LPDnD: Gut Feeling
Tony, while still not happy, is ready to move on.

"Well If we continue on the main road we can get to the forges, but these side tunnels lead to the mining tunnels. At this point I'm not sure which would be better for what you are looking for given the evil that apparently is manifestin' here."[/b] Zelvo says.

Syric looks around to see if there are any signs that someone or something had recently been down either the forge path or the mining path.

Re: LPDnD: Gut Feeling
Syric seems no signs of recent activity.
"Forge is the nearest. The mines go way down. and you could spend lots of timewandering them if ye' not careful." Zelvo says.
He leads you down the main (burnt out) street to an archway that intersects two thoroughfares. You pass under the arch and into a larged ringed room. Well it would be ringed if there weren't a huge slab of mountain crushing the right side of the walkway as you approach. The architecture in it's prime would look like a series of concentric pits going down to a point. Each level with smiths, and ovens drawing off a communal heating system from lava. However the chains from the ceiling are now strewn about and teh lower levels are filled with boulders and rocks from a mountain slide that originated from the right hand side. In teh bottom you see hard black rock which you quickly surmise is from the broken lava system they used for forging.
Along teh walkway to the left you see work stations every 40 feet or so, each with tools and work kits. there are stairs periodically to teh next level down and the next level up (you can go down one tier and up 3.

Syric will cautiously go and check out the first workstation he sees, looking to see if there were materials left and try to identify what they were working on.

Trinal will stay with the group but does not touch anything, but keeps a lookout for any untoward activity.

Re: LPDnD: Gut Feeling
The first workstation has tools used in goldsmithing and jewelry production. you see small hammers, larger hammers, tweezers, clips, clamps, various tools, and some small gemstones (not large enough for the gate needs but definitely worth some money).

Stavis will let Zelvo know about the gems in case he would be interested in those being collected to help fund repairs.

Trinal will investigate the next tier down. He'll avoid touching anything if possible.

Re: LPDnD: Gut Feeling
Stavis seeing Sryic take his gems will like wise take the gems at his workstation, giving them to syric or anyone else that is willing to hold the collective, making sure that Zelvo sees that the gemstone are taken and being collected in one pile so that they can be distributed later. After that will move on to any other workstation.

Re: LPDnD: Gut Feeling
Searching around collectively you guys find what you estimate would be about 10k in smaller gemstones and gold trinkets which you show to Zelvo who's eyes widen with the prospect of more supplies purchased. In addition syric finds a ledger where he notes an entry about larger gems being kept in a special hold for the dwarven king as well as some notes on thorium ores and smelting happening in a lower level.
