Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
Kyros provides you with a map and Aeon packs you 6 days of rations.
"The labyrinth lies under the mountain. The entrance is known, but once you go in, you may not come out so be careful. Aegon has for you 6 days worth of rations, but the mountain is half a day's walk. The extra is in case you get lost in the maze. Here are some torches as well (6 days worth per person). Anything else before you head out?"

"Some paper if you can spare any, charcoal and/or chalk that we can use to make a map or at least mark our passage in the labrynth to keep from getting lost. Also if you have any tools to assist in disarming traps as minotaurs are fond of that sort of thing and finally some rope or a climbing kit in case of a pit trap that is all Tonius can think of."

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
You receive a backpack full of 100ft of rope, some charcoal sticks for drawing, and about 20 sheets of parchment (24in by 24in each), and one set of small hooks and tweezers (essentially a lockpick kit).

[ooc]FYI: I'm going to be in Miami/Key West for the next few days doing some bartending and research for another project. This means I will likely only be checking in here once a day - either in the morning before breakfast or at night when I'm very, very, very drunk. I get home on Thursday.[/ooc]

@Ham'mon if needed I can take your turn for you if you want if we need to keep rolling.
@Gobo in addition to the Scale armor and longsword, you also get a large shield +2AC
@Group in large, do you want to force the soothsayer to go to teh labyrinth or head straight there as prepared? Decision by majority by like 3pm central.

"Tony Plush does not think that's a good idea because we would have to devote resources to guarding her, and she would try to betray us at every opportunity. The risk is not worth the reward."
[ooc]obviously I'm voting head straight there[/ooc]

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
The next morning you take off and get to the mountain side where the entrance is supposed to be. You see a stone door with a minotaur emblem on it.
You walk through and find a passage. The passage is about 15 feet wide, 20 feet high and is running north south past where the light shows.
Edit welcome to the maze gents. I will be posting links to tactical maps as necessary, but you guys are responsible for tracking the maze in general.
Double Edit: Correction. You see the maze going south and to the north you see a corner (which goes to the east) I forgot where the maze door was in relation to that corner.

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
"Ok people, let's stay in a tight group, the trick to dealing with most mazes is to not wander randomly. We need to be methodical and chart our progress as we go both on paper but also on the walls as we go. There's an old Gnomish trick Tony Plush learned we can follow here...Gnomes always go left. So when we are presented with a directional choice, we will go left first. Also Tony Plush believes he should lead as he will be moving slow checking for traps as well. Unless anyone has any better ideas or objections we should get moving. The sooner started the sooner done. Tony Plush probably should have asked this sooner, but is there anyone else who is skilled in detecting and disarming traps or who is well versed in dungeoneering? Some division of labor for making our map and searching would make this go a bit quicker."
Per Joun we entered from the west, so left would take us north.
Tony will start sketching his map with the area we have seen thus far with a couple notations at the top.
At the intersection Tony will make a trail sign mark on the wall high up so as not easily disturbed and will explain the common intersection markings he intends to use so the rest of the group will be able to understand them if needed.

Victae's racial gives all of you +1 to perception (assuming you are 5sq within her which is pretty much guaranteed here.

This labryinth is far more deliberate than the underdark where Syric had spent a good deal of time, but he tries to apply skills learned there anyways.

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
Correction to my previous post, I was looking at an old character sheet from level 3, not level 5 so my skill rolls were off. Both should have been +9 modifiers not +7.
So dungeoneering would have been 25 total and perception 12 total.

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
Uses for dungeoneering: detecting cardinal directions, changes in elevation, forage for food, identify underground plants or animals, detecting features of underground construction.
Please indicate which subactivity you are doing.
Perception will provide clues you can then apply dungeoneering on.
Example:
I do a perception check.
result: I see a wobbly looking floor tile.
Followup: Identify features associated with wobbly tile (dungeoneering roll)
result: tile is a pressure plate for a nearby mechanical device.
