Re: LPDnD: We Come From the Land of the Ice and Snow!
"That would be one option, if we were to do that then Tony Plush would suggest that those of us capable should try to sneak in just before the rest of you rush in to give us a more advantageous position.
Alternatively we could go with a shock and awe attack where we throw in the dismembered heads of their guards to get their attention then charge in behind while they are surprised or we throw the heads in then let them come out to us. Tony Plush's concern with charging in frankly is that there is an unknown number inside and it could be a suicide charge."
Are there other openings we can see to the inside of the fort from where we are?

"I could also get up to the top of the wall down that way a bit and... " Trinal chuckles, "create some, er- distraction. That would give the rest of you an opportunity to get in the main door quickly while their attention is on me. By the sounds of it, I doubt they have too many missile weapons immediately to hand, so it would be relatively safe for me to do."

"That may not be the best option. The last time we split up a bit and had part of the group make a flanking maneuver that didn't end well as I recall. Unless anyone has any other ideas lets go kick down the font door and say hello."

I am for over the wall and clear the court yard of everything, then work into the bar room or main building.

"Hit them fast, hit them hard. Any thing more complex then that and we risk the boat getting here before we are ready to execute or worse boat shows up mid fight and we have to deal with enemies on two sides."
Re: LPDnD: We Come From the Land of the Ice and Snow!
Syric nods and moves forward to where the canvas covers the doorway.

Re: LPDnD: We Come From the Land of the Ice and Snow!
You guys enter the hall. The smell of roasting meat and beer fill the nostrils. This is clearly a large celebration.
The crowd doesn't even seem to notice you at first until a huge man at the far end of the hall signals for the band to stop.
"Well well well, looks like the Duke sent some entertainment? What are your names, so my strummers might write a song about you?" Mumford says. The man is huge. almost 7 feet tall, all muscle. On stage with him are 6 men with instruments. Four of them have stringed instruments, one has a drum, one has a flute.
At the 8 tables between you and him are minions (1 hp fight warm up).
The hall is two battle maps. You guys start on tile one:
https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1XuZ ... sp=sharing
which transitions to tile two:
https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1-UU ... sp=sharing
The yellow stairs on tile 1 and 2 lead up to the yellow catwalk on tile two.
The brownish rectangles on tile 1 are tables.
On tile two the pinkish ares is a stage, the green rectangle is a large sacrifice cauldron thing. The green smile is the Duke's son. He is suspended from a rope (alive, though gagged) and there is a series of ropes coming down from the ceiling near where he is suspended. (anchor sand bags are on blue, you don't know which corresponds to him though).
Red star is Mumford.
Lettered squares are his "Strums"
Numbered Squares are minions
Green Smile is Hostage
Yellow Star Hammon
Green Lightning Tony
Light Purple Moon Syric
Yellow Triangle Vlad
Green Heart Victae
Blue smile Trinal
Light Purple Smile Stavis
Purple Circle Spintik
Yellow Hoop Viggo
Begin your witty banter or fighting or whatever.

Trinal smiles. Ignoring Mumford he says to the group "Well, at least there's food and drink for when we're done."
I'm holding my turn for a moment until I see how things lie after the melee types get into action. Are we supposed to roll initiative or is this a surprise round?

Stavis will start by using Glimpse the Future.
[dice]0[/dice]
[dice]1[/dice]
[dice]2[/dice]
Stavis will then respond load enough to be heard "I think I can speak for everyone, that should we fail we would rather not be recorded, and can promise the same when we defeat you Bha’alists!"
After making his grandiose statement will show just load enough to be heard by the group "Unless we wish to stay as a group, mowing down this rabble before dealing with Mumford. I would suggest Ham'mon, Syric, Tony, Victae, and Vlad charge straight for Mumford to ensure he be too busy to do anything to the son and the rest mop up the group."

[OOC so apparently I have a 20 up my sleeve and meant to mention that it is limited to an ally 10 squares of me in case we do end up with a minor split up.]
Re: LPDnD: We Come From the Land of the Ice and Snow!
I would actually probably be toward the back row and stealthed especially since they didn't take notice of us originally.

[OCC if that is acceptable to Joun, Stavis would have been on the front row instead of Tony since he had figured the fire would have made stealthing pretty difficult.]Furiel wrote:I would actually probably be toward the back row and stealthed especially since they didn't take notice of us originally.

Syric looks across the raider scum to Mumford in the back, "Only a coward resorts to stealing children in the night, step forward and meet Syric and his sword!" he calls out before lunging forward and bringing his sword down in an arc to split 31 in half.

Syric hits and kills (damage is unnecessary on minions)
(All teh numbered guys, if you hit you will kill, misses that do damage will not do any damage. Minions have 1 HP.

Stavis will attack 34 with Ranged Basic Attack with one of his shuriken after seeing Syric attack that side to help create an opening should a group wish to push forward quickly.

OK, looks like we're going right. Trinal moves and casts Burning Spray.
Close Blast 3, it will affect 32, 33, 35, 41, 44 and 46. It will probably also set the table on fire.
Attacks (d20+11 vs Reflex):
32: 10+11=21
33: 7+11=18
35: 2+11=13
41: 14+11=25
44: 6+11=17
46: 3+11=14
(not rolling damage as they're minions)
Any melee attack against me before the end of my next turn results in 2 fire damage.
