Are there other openings we can see to the inside of the fort from where we are?

You guys enter the hall. The smell of roasting meat and beer fill the nostrils. This is clearly a large celebration.

The crowd doesn't even seem to notice you at first until a huge man at the far end of the hall signals for the band to stop.

"Well well well, looks like the Duke sent some entertainment? What are your names, so my strummers might write a song about you?" Mumford says. The man is huge. almost 7 feet tall, all muscle. On stage with him are 6 men with instruments. Four of them have stringed instruments, one has a drum, one has a flute.

At the 8 tables between you and him are minions (1 hp fight warm up).

The hall is two battle maps. You guys start on tile one:

The yellow stairs on tile 1 and 2 lead up to the yellow catwalk on tile two.

The brownish rectangles on tile 1 are tables.

On tile two the pinkish ares is a stage, the green rectangle is a large sacrifice cauldron thing. The green smile is the Duke's son. He is suspended from a rope (alive, though gagged) and there is a series of ropes coming down from the ceiling near where he is suspended. (anchor sand bags are on blue, you don't know which corresponds to him though).

Red star is Mumford.
Lettered squares are his "Strums"

I'm holding my turn for a moment until I see how things lie after the melee types get into action. Are we supposed to roll initiative or is this a surprise round?

After making his grandiose statement will show just load enough to be heard by the group "Unless we wish to stay as a group, mowing down this rabble before dealing with Mumford. I would suggest Ham'mon, Syric, Tony, Victae, and Vlad charge straight for Mumford to ensure he be too busy to do anything to the son and the rest mop up the group."

[OCC if that is acceptable to Joun, Stavis would have been on the front row instead of Tony since he had figured the fire would have made stealthing pretty difficult.]

(All teh numbered guys, if you hit you will kill, misses that do damage will not do any damage. Minions have 1 HP.

Stavis will attack 34 with Ranged Basic Attack with one of his shuriken after seeing Syric attack that side to help create an opening should a group wish to push forward quickly.

OK, looks like we're going right. Trinal moves and casts Burning Spray.

Close Blast 3, it will affect 32, 33, 35, 41, 44 and 46. It will probably also set the table on fire.

Attacks (d20+11 vs Reflex):

32: 10+11=21
33: 7+11=18
35: 2+11=13
41: 14+11=25
44: 6+11=17
46: 3+11=14

(not rolling damage as they're minions)

Any melee attack against me before the end of my next turn results in 2 fire damage.

Stavis missed, Burning spray hits some misses others.

tablehas some scorchign but has not set on fire.

BTW that large orange square in the center of the room is a fire pit.
