There is an Aqualish following you.

As for transport to Castell you have options.
Option 1 - there is a medium cargo transport headed there tomorrow, leaving at 0400 hours, unknown cost to fly along or if they are even taking passengers
Option 2 - public transport, prices and times for that vary however there are no direct routes
Option 3 - commission an available transport that would obviously be price negotiable with the captain

Without knowing what kind of droid the motivators are for the size of the crate is impossible to project as the motivators for a mouse droid are going to be one size whereas the motivators for a heavy construction droid are going to be a completely different scale.

Rek mulls over his options and thinks of the closest stopover on a route to Castell, and once identified looks to find the price range for tickets to that planet, unless a different stopover is required. Once he has identified a range of prices he searches for information on where or whom to contact to discuss Option 1.

I'm pretty sure (in fact I am sure via IM) that Whiteness meant Knowledge Physical Science since it contains the relevant fields of study and he is trained in it.

Assuming we can send "text messages" like in the last campaign, Dood sends this to the group:

Unfortunately Castell doesn't seem to be a destination of choice. The cheapest ticket you found for there was 343 credits, however it has 2 multiple-day stopovers and would take 9 days to get there. The shorter the trip there the more the ticket escalates.

As for option 1 - the ship is owned by the White Dwarf shipping consortium, whose local offices are closed and will not be opening prior to that ships departure. So your best bet to secure passage on that ship would be to go to the captain directly. It's possible he would be overseeing the loading currently, but that's not guaranteed. However you know he would have to be there for pre-flight checks, etc and with a ship that large he likely would be there a couple hours prior to liftoff.

Rek pauses before deleting the message he thought was another mass marketing message and realizes who it is from. He replies to Dood and the others, "If everyone calls in sick this wedding is never going to happen, there's always going to be an Imperial Pizza party...Now there is a ship leaving at 0400 owned by White Dwarf shipping, find the captain and convince him we should be on that flight."

Dood looks at T'el, shrugs, and says, "What the hell? It's only living, right?"

He then makes his way down to wherever this ship doodad is.

Te'l snickers to Dood and considers putting his pistol to his temple and getting it over with now. Naw, at least I will see if we can get on the ship first and be comfortable

Te'l looks to Dood:
"Finally, somewhere our skills can be used. And hopefully an opportunity to get off this planet and not be killed."

On our way to the dockyards or whatever, we deposit Blu Wark in a bar nearby.

T'el and I then try to get an idea of what kind of ship and captain we're looking at by doing a little reconnoiter - preferably without being seen.

@Dood and T'el

You are able to recon the ship and docking bay pretty thoroughly and as far as you can tell you went unnoticed. Currently the ship is being loaded with mix of different items. Inactive labor droids, raw construction materials, non-perishable food stuffs, etc etc. Nothing remarkable about the cargo whatsoever. The loading is being overseen by the first mate who also appears to be the cargo master. The ship is a medium sized Bulk Freighter, meaning it can carry somewhere between 500 and 750 cubic tons of cargo depending on configuration. Usually this class of ship takes somewhere around 20-30 crew to man, however during the loading process you only see a handful, including the first mate. Who is looking kinda rough around the edges trying to get the loading completed while being pulled in 6 different directions at once.

Time note: by the time you get to the spaceport, observe the loading, etc it's now about 00:30 hours, so launch is scheduled for three and a half hours from now.

Te'l straightens up and smooths out his suit. Time to look proper.

Te'l approaches the first mate in a casual yet authoritarian manner.

"Good sir good sir, I see you are far too busy for my interruption." A long smile crosses Te'l's face. "And I do apologize for my interruption while you are in such a hurry to load your vessel. You see a young dock worker pointed me your way with the claim that you may need some more assistance than usual on your flight."

"My name is Te'l Marin and this is my colleague Dood Amm'nel. We represent a local consortium of talent that is currently in need of transit. It seems a barter of services could be the hero of the day. Perchance are you heading in the direction of Casteel? If that is the case I would see fit to offer the services of our 5 man crew to assist you."

Tell watches for any inclination of support. And continues talking in a soft tone.

"You see, we have myself and Mr. Amm'nel who are both prestigious pilots and excellent mechanics. We know our way around a ship and would be happy to assist in its flight and maintenance. Bringing us on this job would clearly offer you less stress and more ability int he cockpit."

"We also have a compliment of muscle, 3 members who would provide you with the strength of 10 men to assist in loading, unloading and moving about your cargo. Adding their services to this trip would speed up your load time and also assist in your crew remaining rested and prepared for the next job."

"My dear sir, I would like to offer you this barter. Our crew compliment to assist in your trip for passage to Casteel. We will ask no pay but of course leave it to your good graces to provide meals and lodgings for our efforts until we reach our destination. How does this offer suit you?"

When finished with his offer Te'l looks at the first mate with a large smile and an air of honesty. "And sir, I might add, this offer could be yours alone to present to your Captain. Finding such a crew ready and willing to work for free passage could be looked on quite positively by a Captain in need of such help. A First Mate with such an offer may very well find himself in possession of a bonus or a future ship of his own."

The first mate stands there barely listening to you while he attempts to watch 4 different loading operations all occuring at once through different hatches, suddenly he holds up his hand right to your face for a moment and turns away from you:

"Otto!!! I told you to put that in Bay 3 you retarded bag of carbon! Elmo!! Get over here and make sure Otto gets it right this time!!" he yells at a couple of the crew working the loading vehicles. Then he turns back to you.

"If you want a job you need to go down to the White Dwarf shipping offices and apply. I'm not authorized to hire new employees."

What have you guys been doing since you called in about the ship leaving tonight? It took Dood and T'el about 90 minutes to get to the spaceport, do their recon etc. What have you been doing in the meantime?

You hit several cantinas and restraunts in and around the spaceport looking for the good captain, after about 90 minutes of looking you are starting to get frustrated thinking this ship has no captain until you go into a dusty little dive called The Vapor Trail. You chat up the bartender while ordering drinks and find out that the captain of the ship you are interested in is actually dining currently over in a booth along the far wall.

Dood pats Te'l on the back and urges him out of the docking bay or whatever they're in.

On their way out, Dood increases his speed.

"Well my preferred option is still not going, but this is starting to become a little fun. Those men are loading droid parts onto the ship. That could be useful. Also, traveling under the guise of legitimate business is preferable to traveling under the guise of randomly traveling. I say you and I head down to the office and offer our services. If that doesn't work out for us, then maybe with such an undermanned outfit at least you and I can find a comfortable, dark corner to ride in without they're being the wiser."

Dood stops suddenly.

"Where did we leave the hippy?"

Not wanting to let the chance escape him, Rek decides to talk to the captain before he has the chance to leave.
"Bronto, keep your eyes on that man and let me know if he tries to leave."

Rek takes a moment to examine the bar for anyone suspicious or any imperial, and looks to see where all the refresher and all the exits are before returning to Bronto.

Perception: Roll(1d20)+7: 12,+7 Total:19

"OK Bronto, just follow me and be quiet, let them think you're my bodyguard. I'll talk for you if need be" Rek then heads towards the captain with Bronto in tow.

"Excuse me sir, I don't mean to interrupt your dinner but I was hoping I could have a moment of your time. My name is Rek Baniss, and this is my associate. You are the captain of the White Dwarf cargo ship that is leaving in a few hours, correct? I was wondering if you would have room for 6 or 7 passengers. We would be willing to come to work out some arrangement, we don't expect a free ride."
