and 1,070 credits

Dood takes the credits and pockets them along with the mesh tape and the artsy trinket thing.

He then tosses the bag to Bronto.

"Well that was fun."

Dood nods to Tel.

"C'mon. Let's get out of here before they run that droid's memory and come back looking for us."

Bronto starts muttering in Aqualish. He puts the satchel on, under his cloak.

He looks at the others and makes a puzzled noise and puts his hands out wide.

Unsure if the Aqualish was asking for a hug or merely as confused as he was, Rek turns to follow the Bothan and Twilek.

"Hey now. I don't know what you're after here, Tusky, but I'd appreciate it if you kept your hands off of the material. This stuff isn't cheap. I know it's got some wear and tear on it, but this is authentic Sullustan wool.

Startled by the basic coming from the walrusman, Dood nods violently.

"You know, you're right. You have been working hard and I really don't need to be taking money from a droid that isn't going to need it when you might find a good use for it. Ehem."

Dood reaches into his pockets and retrieves the 1000 credits. He holds them up and then places his hand into the bag, dropping half of them in the bag and palming the other 500cr.

Dood turns on his heel and starts to walk south.

"What do you think they're going to do with our former shiny companion? Hmm? Do you think they're going to ask him questions nicely? Do you think maybe they'll torture him somehow and maybe he won't break?

I'll tell you what they're going to do. They're going to hook him up to a computer and search through that mesh of metal and wires until they know exactly who we just met with and what they just told us and then they'll melt him down while they come looking for us in the hopes that we're too stupid to realize that maybe that so-called 'mission' is now of the suicide variety. Maybe you want to risk it all for the fancy speeders and fabulous prizes the rebels are offering, but I think I'd rather go sit in a bar - a bar on some other rock than this one."

What I was getting at was if you are going to get a droid, make sure you get a new one, or at least one that has all its factory parts. I have parts from a lot of different droids and sometimes that messes with memories. I was in a barbershop quartet in Mos Espa, Tattooine. The Baritone was a guy named Kip Diskin, big fat guy, I mean, like, gundark fat. He was so stressed in the morning...but anyway. I know I'm babbling on so I'll be quiet now."
