With what we've learned about the scarcity of Tordassium, it's going to be really difficult to track down WHERE it's being produced. However, if it's normally destroyed during the refinement procedure, we can assume that SOMEWHERE, there is a facility going through a HUGE amount of ore with little-to-no conventional output of metals. This is something else that we can investigate through Fossar. If there is a location that was previously doing a large amount of metal export, but is now bringing in the same amount of ore despite significantly less output... well... that might be somewhere of interest to us.

more than likely, the ore processing facilities have been augmented to extract the minerals. I would be suprised if the metal output was dropped, especially considering that they need the metal to produce all these new droids.

"Which would mean somewhere that recently has not changed their output of minerals, but has probably spent a significant amount of money "upgrading" their facilities. Perhaps even somewhere that it wouldn't seem financially smart to do so, but they did anyway."

Well, my thinking was that IF tordassium is normally destroyed by the refining process, the refining process would have to be altered or halted to retrieve the tordassium. Perhaps So can give us more details on this. My gut feeling is that metal production will have dropped, but if it hasn't dropped, there likely will have been a change in the amounts of incoming or outgoing materials that should be significant enough to find.

Dood suggests looking for a soda gun and a CO2 attachment for SOD, as well as a paint mixer attachment for shaking drinks. Maybe an upright mixer attachment as well.

Ro'Talth suggested that you find one of the experts in the mining field to get some leads.
So if you're saying spicing rarely involves mining operation, how exactly do the spice mines of Kessel fit into your version of Star Wars lore?
The Kessel spice mines were harvesting grounds for http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Glitterstim which you can see is still an organic component.

My larger point was that on an industrial organization scale people who extract ores for heavy metals do not operate in the same category of industrial organization of people harvesting materials for organic interactions like you'd see in typical spice production. Even the synthetic production models producign let's say the equivalent of LSD or Meth would not be doing ore shale mining.

February 2nd Coruscant

Jax Ryfon was quietly meditating by the reflection pool outside the Jedi Temple. The air was warm with a slight breeze whipping gently around the columns that lined the meditation garden. A few butterflies played in the breeze while the sunlight warmed the area. The constant drone of speeders in this urban planet came from the distance. Jax's thoughts had a more somber feel to them recently, but he couldn't quite sense why.

From the entrance of the garden footsteps approached in a slow manner, but the walker clearly wished he could walk faster, but was intentionally tempering himself out of respect for the serenity of the garden.

"Jedi Jax, Master Lucien wishes to see you now." a padawan said in a shaky voice. Something clearly troubled him, but he knew it was not his place to say.

Ro'Talth approaches Dood and Eli "You two seem to be running the show here. When we land what exactly are you guys expecting of me? You guys seem hell bent on going after Sargo or these Sith droids. Jax looked at the padawan and nodded his head. He reached out with a cupped hand, scooped some water from pool and took a drink. As he stood up, Jax noticed the padawan gaping at him.

“It’s just water and I was thirsty. Perhaps you should have some also.” The padawan shook his head furiously.

"As you like. Now where will I find Master Lucien?"

The Padawan leads Jax through the temple to a room with a ring of chairs. Seated in most of them are Jedi Masters from the Order. Standing near the door is Jedi Master Jana and in the center of the room is a T3 astromech droid.

Master Lucien motions for the windows to be darkened and the room goes dark with only small lights to assist movement causing any form of illumination.

"Jedi Jax Ryfon, if I recall correctly you were friends with Jedi Padawan Wailer, correct?"

Master Lucien looks to the droid and signals for him to replay the following holorecording.

A young man appears before you dressed in a suit that is torn and has some blood on it.

"Esteemed Jedi Knights and masters, aboard this ship you will find one of your own, Jedi Knight Wailer, who was cut down defending myself and others from an attack by sith battle droids on the planet Bryx. Wailer died a hero for without his actions and his sacrifice we all surely would have been killed. I believe that the individuals responsible for sending the droids were 2 Sith intiates by the names of Hortell and Quax and I assure you that his death will not go un-avenged. This I swear.

Aboard this ship should be all of Wailer's belongings that I am aware of. This ship was his as is the droid that is piloting it, and it should have a full journal of his travels since purchasing it. It was an honor to have known Wailer for the time that I did and his nobility and sacrifice will be honored for as long as I live. May the Force be with you."

Master Lucien lights back up the room after the recording.

"I know this must be tough. But it is our duty as Jedi Knights to not let emotion overwhelm us in times of loss. It appears that Master Jana had sent Padawan Wailer on a task to help find her wayward son. She did so without prior consulting the Jedi Council as she was confident that her son wasn't in serious trouble. It seems her error in judgment is the Jedi Order's loss. But it also reveals that bigger things are underway than a simple lost man.

Jax you are almost ready to become a Jedi Knight. We'd like for you to find this man, Eli according to the T3 droid, and his companions and root out what if any threat this Hortell and Quax are to the Republic. The T3 droid had some other information about a few new classes of Sith Battle droids related by one of Eli's companions. They could prove to be a substantial threat to Republic if the reports are true.

Take a fighter, and this droid with you. The T3 says you should start by contacting Eli, then assist them in their tasks. Report back to me regularly."

"Mr. Ro’Talth, I’m afraid you may misunderstand us and our intentions as well. Allow me to explain and at the end I believe you will see that you have little to worry about. First and foremost neither Dood nor I lead these men. We are a team or equals. No one voice is more important that the other, although some may be more vocal than others.

The second and probably the most important thing that you need to understand about us and why we are doing what we are doing is that collectively we do not care who we are going against. We are a collection of diverse individuals put together for 1 reason, to locate and rescue Jounville Blackferne from whatever perils he has found himself in. Currently it appears that those perils revolve around Sargo kidnapping him likely in relation to the new models of Sith battle droids, but I assure you that if it was Sargo, the Supreme Chancellor of the Senate or the Coronet City Rotary Club that was currently holding Jounville, we would be going after them.

I expect that you know nothing of Jounville himself, so let me sum up probably the most important fact you need to know about him. Jounville is the leader of an organization known as the Church of Alvis. The followers of this belief system call themselves Alvians, of which 4 of this group count themselves as. I myself am not one, however there are parts of this belief system that I do agree with. Now, one of the two primary pillars of this belief system is drinking, something that I’m sure you have seen several others partake in a great deal. The other primary pillar though is the one that most directly relates to this venture and that is revenge. Alvians take revenge VERY seriously and they will not stop until they have wrought vengeance upon those who have wronged one of their own. I believe the Book of Alvis has a passage that reads: “Vengeance is mine said Alvis, then he shot that guy right in the frickin’ face!” So it is those beliefs and mindset that is driving this group, and why who we are up against doesn’t matter, for righteous vengeance must be done to them, just as it will be done to anyone who attempts to hinder us in accomplishing our mission. It is seen as a moral imperative to many on this ship.

So with that information in mind what we need from you is simple. We need your contacts for us to continue our investigation. We have 2 possible trails to follow, either the mineral trail or Psont. We are starting with the minerals which is why we are headed to Tattooine. I am hopeful that you can also try to get us contact info for Psont in addition to the mineral contacts we are looking for. Either one or both should be able to lead us to our next stop, at which point we would have no further need for you. And unlike the Sith, we don’t destroy things we don’t need. Consider this a business arrangement. And in that arrangement our job was to save your life and get you off Bryx so the Sith don’t find you there. We have fulfilled our part. Now it’s your turn to fulfill your end and get us the information we need to continue our investigation so that we may find Jounville Blackferne and save him."

When Jax went to reply, he realized that his jaw was clenched and his hands were knotted into fists. Jax took a moment to calm himself before saying "I shall leave immediately Master. T3 will you follow me please?"

After Jax leaves the chamber, he looks to T3 and says "Before we get the ship, we are going to swing by the library and see if there is any information on these Sith. What other information do you have on Wailer's mission?"

T3-H5 chirps and beeps slowly enough for you to understand (as you understand binary) "Master Wailer refereed to me as Slick as a nickname. Now Master Wailer had discovered that Jounville Blackferne, son of Master Jana, had been kidnapped by operatives of Kunga the Hutt on Bryx. The operative expedition was led by a Captain Marc Pson't of the Avalon prisoner transport vessel. We had learned it originated from Corellia before Lok, and stated that it was intending to travel to Kril'Dor, but we could not find record of its arrival there.

Once on Bryx Master Wailer intended to talk to Kunga about Jounville Blackferne and has very explicit instructions should he not return. He was rebuffed at the door and instead assisted Eli and the other Alvians in attempting to talk to Ro'Talth, Kunga's consigliere. That mission resulted in Wailer's death and my presence here in your service. If I might suggest establishing a Holonet conversation with Eli before you depart so you don't end up following them a planet behind on their investigation. They would be wise to wait for a Jedi like yourself to aid their efforts, but as of yet they don't even know you intend to join them."

Klak stumbles clumsily into the room as Eli is responding to Ro'Talth.

"AHHH THAT WAS ONE HELL OF A FIGHT BROTHERS!"

He sits down on the ground leaning against a wall. He had overheard the last bit of Eli's response and only vaguely understood it all. Clearly he had missed some goings on by sleeping off his after-battle partying.

He looked at Dood and exclaimed "You did a great job my furry fuhrer, from behind the couch you were a force to be reckoned with". Upon using the word Force Klak seemed a bit sad but then poured a bit of the whiskey on the ground and nodded assuredly Hate those Jedi's but I miss the Gungan.

Klak didnt want to interupt the conversation, but offered to spar with Eli when he had resolved his business with Ro'Talh. "Eli, you are a hell of a fighter, but if you plan to keep up that stamina in battle we better make sparring a regular routine. Maybe we can make a friendly wager of it. First to fall down wins 20 credits"

Klak stood back up and headed to the cockpit. Time to bug that Droid until Eli wanted to spar.

When you return to the library slick has the following information.

Captain Hortell and Lieutenant Quax are officers in the Emperor's Hand lead by Darth Galt. The twins were originally raised in the Jedi system, but after not being selected for full training were shipped off to the Agricultural Program for Force Sensitives. The planet they were stationed on was taken over in the last major war for a brief period and they were recruited by Darth Galt to be his apprentices. Darth Galt is a general for the Sith Emperor who specializes in developing weapon systems and enforcement of state secrets. He is an adviser to the Sith Military Intelligence and is often sent on special assignments per the last RIA dossier.

Kunga is a small time Exchange player who operates most out of Bryx. He is known for protection rackets, minor gaming schemes, and minor political corruption. His consigliere is Ro'Talth who graduated from a prestigous business school before working for Kunga. He has helped roll many of the Kunga schemes into more semi-legitimate enterprises under Saltori Merchant Services.

Marc Pson'T is a republic Navy vet for 20 years. He retired and begun consulting work for Saltori Merchant Services before being hired outright. He helped Saltori buy the Avalon from the Ministry of Justice when the ship(a prisoner transport) was being replaced. at which point he took up employment with Saltori full time per tax records.

Slick tells you all of that and says "I took the liberty of sending a Holonet message to Eli to contact you as soon as possible to coordinate your efforts."

February 3rd Mos Eisley Tattooine

The Sweet Delia lands. It has 51 days of fuel and 330 units of rations (1 unit of ration will feed 1 person for 1 day)

There is a sand storm blowing through the city today so visibility is limited. Upon arrival the following people receive notification of holonet messages waiting for them at the nearest terminal.
