The Taris Event Chapter 3 OOC Thread
I think I'm clear next week. Weekend not great normally.

I was hoping we'd be there tonight...I've tied up all my hyperspace business already and we already have the semblance of a plan on what we're going to do once we make planetfall, so unless anyone else has pressing business they need to attend to, or Bulwark wants to pick a fight with Fandango, I hope we're about ready to fast-forward.Gandolfini wrote:It depends. Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3 OOC Thread
I'll be honest the only reason I haven't had touchdown on tat is because I'm feeling a bit under the weather. Stupid allergies have me feeling blarg. I'd rather be slow and mediocre in my story telling than fast and horrible. I hope tonight whatever is in the air settles so I can get back to the cliche genre fiction you have come to expect and be marginally disappointed by.

That has more to do with your life choices and virtually nothing to do with my hack writing and you know it!Dood wrote:HEY! If you're going to count my choice to shackle myself to your hack writing as a LIFE choice, then yes, we concur.Blackferne wrote:That has more to do with your life choices and virtually nothing to do with my hack writing and you know it!Dood wrote:HEY! I'm going out for birthday dinner in about an hour, so I won't be on here again tonight. Touchdown tomorrow would be just nice.

Should I feel insulted that I am enjoying the "marginal fiction". It's almost like I was perfectly happy drinking my "Extra Dry Grey Goose Martini" and someone points out that it is just chilled vodka with an olive.

Actually I'm happy you are enjoying it. It is a lot of work to try to throw together a campaign on the fly, and while I've been mapping out story ideas, a lot of the daily interactions etc etc are like improv writing, and you don't always know how it is going over.Gandolfini wrote:Should I feel insulted that I am enjoying the "marginal fiction". When I describe my writing as "marginal fiction" it is self deprecating, when Dood says it, it comes from his angry bitter place.

On the upside, Dood's Angry Bitter Place(tm), has a great selection of rum.Blackferne wrote:Actually I'm happy you are enjoying it. So what did you fools take for your new level? I stayed scoundrel and added Dual weapons mastery and opportunistic shot though I was very tempted to add use the force

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3 OOC Thread
Dood took Noble level 1.Whiteness wrote:So what did you fools take for your new level? I stayed scoundrel and added Dual weapons mastery and opportunistic shot though I was very tempted to add use the force
Grabbed the Connections talent.
Added +2 to Will defense, plus the +1 to all other defenses for the level increase.
Added 6HP.
Picked up Skill Training: Gather Information for my 3rd level feat, which grants me an automatic Skill Focus: Gather Information as a racial bonus, which is why Dood's gather info went from a 3 to a 13.
So I remain about as useful in combat as before, which isn't very useful. But my character concept is coming along swimmingly.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3 OOC Thread
Another level of my jedi hack. Added 9 hps, force attunement for my talent and took force training for my feat with battle strike, surge and negate energy for my powers. So end result is 2 more hit with both my gloves and my club, I can cover more distance in a single move once a fight, I can maybe negate a blaster bolt that hits me, and I can get extra hit and maybe extra damage on a good roll once a fight.Whiteness wrote:So what did you fools take for your new level? Sorry, I've been at work all day and didn't have time to post..
A) I vote we go to Tat (a little late, I know)
B) Bulwark hasn't told anyone about his parsec favor
C) Yes, Bulwark and Fandango alone in the ship would lead to some interesting conversations.
D) I took Skill Focus Stealth, and the talent 'Improved Stealth'. That gives +14 with a reroll when being sneaky.

I took a level of Noble (crime lord in the making), and I picked up skill training persuasion, wealthy (5k credits every time I take a noble level), and I got linguist as a bonus... I speak fucking everything basically. Just an FYI.
As for my vote, I'm good with Tat, especially if we bring the second in command with us, notoriety is notoriety.
With everything else just take it as it comes....
