So, I see us at a fork.
We either:
A. Pursue leads on where Jounville has been taken to try and pry him free of Sargo before the Sith try that.
B. Trust that Sargo can fend off the Sith long enough that maybe we can figure out what exactly Jounville was doing before he was supposed to reunite with Fandango.

I'm for gathering information on a) Sargo's operations, and b) as much info as we can readily get on what Joun was looking for, and then choose a course of action.
In the meantime, I think we should go to Ord Mantell - Joun was there, Fandango was there, Ro mentioned Ord Mantell, and we can get lots of places from there. And I assume there's a Fossar Shipping office there to at least check in to Tordassium shipments.

We do A.
Sargo is a business man and a weasel first and foremost. With what that Sith just did to Kunga I don't think he's going to try to put up much of a fight with the Sith because a dead man gets no credits. He'll bargain with them to try to get the best of a bad deal he can, but I don't expect him to spend much time doing so.
As for where we go, Ord Mantell wouldn't be bad. We should probably ask Ro where he wants to go that would give him the best options to gather his info for us the quickest as well. Not that we have to go there, but it should be an option that's discussed.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3 OOC Thread
Why is Sargo a weasel? If he was after Joun because of something to do with Sith droids he is already making plans against Sith, so I don't think it is likely that he is going to shit himself in fear because a small timer like Kunga got attacked.
Is Xandadu in operation or was he still haiving it built?
Would we gain anything from contacting Mr. T now? If he did not know about the droids, this could be a big bargaining chip.
Has Slick already left or can we send an additional message with him to the Jedi?
Should we hit up Coreilla and look for Sargo's contact there?
edi: actually, I see blackferne just made a long post so my questions here may be unimportant now.

Xanadu is operational.
Slick is gone you won't be in contact with him until he reaches the Jedi.
Other questions are not my place to answer.

After reading almost all of Darths & Droids, I feel it is imperative that we ignore Sargo's Lieutenants and head straight to the nearest Sith outpost to confront Hortell.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3 OOC Thread
We COULD try contact Mr. T now. I mean, we DO have Ro (essentially) separated from his guards. Another option would be to tell Tsontar that we believe Ro'Talth died - thereby helping him off the grid. The information on the droids might be VERY valuable to Tsont'Ar - perhaps we could leverage that information to have Tsont'Ar look into Psont for us. Thoughts?

So feel free to stop by and they will summon him for you."I think sixteen sounds reasonable upon receipt of Blackferne. I need him alive and able to speak. Ability to use limbs is not necessary. Bring him to any Sith military compound in the outer rim and I'll come retrieve him. Is that understood?" Captain Hortell says in a cold sharp tone.

Sargo is a weasel because you have to assume the whole time that he had an idea that some heat might come from snatching Joun, so he had Kunga do it so he wouldn't get the head directly. He essentially hung Kunga out to dry to help protect his own skin. So how is he NOT a weasel?
The 2 important things we need to find out about now are the whereabouts of the Avalon and the whereabouts of P'sont.
I don't think Tsont'Ar will have much interest in Ro anymore since Kunga's organization is gone and his interest was in keeping Kunga out of a particular type of business.
The thing that Mr T could be be helpful with might be in tracking down the Avalon. I would think he could get logs from hyperspace beacons the starports that might get us an idea on where the Avalon is now. The information about the droids is a great trading chip and why I had asked Fandango earlier about the technical specs on them, because the more info we can give them then the more equity we build.
I think we need to rely on Ro to help us find P'Sont. The right tool for the right job. He's the one who knows where he might have gone to ground and how to get a meet with him without it turning into a bloodbath. And right now Ro owes us his ass, and his woman's as well, and he knows it, so we need to get him to pay up on that.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 3 OOC Thread
Ok, I think we should contact Mr. T but I don't know if anything needs to be said about Ro. Maybe we can get his help on tracking the Avalon, P'Sont or locate Sargo's Coreilla operative.
We also need more info on Sargo's Lt.'s and then I think its safe to assume we should probably try to make contact with one of them.
1. Mr. Bron Junice - I am leaning towards him. As a semi-retired man he is not likely to be a power hungry exchange-ladder climbing type. We could also use So or Dood as bait (I think they're both banned?) to force a meeting.
2. Wrotall - Getting in on the Spice trade could be fun, but his nasty demeanor and dishonorable acts makes me not want to try to get in touch with him.
3. Oli Talsuki - She seems to have information and I like her as an option more than Wrotall
4. Montigue - He's my second choice so far, but I don't like the bit about his deviousness. That could easily make him the worst choice of the four.
edit: I see Furiel posted a big post but I'm going to post this before I read his.

Montigue is the one that's likely to be most closely involved with the Sith/Republic plans. Not saying we go talk to him right away, but that's my take on it.

I see, though I believe it was also to punish Kunga. I see it as more of a cunning act then a weaselish one. He may have been able to deal with the heat in other ways but choose to kill two birds with one stone.Furiel wrote:Sargo is a weasel because you have to assume the whole time that he had an idea that some heat might come from snatching Joun, so he had Kunga do it so he wouldn't get the head directly. I was going to make some other points, but I don't want to overthink this like last time.
I think our main focus should be one of these:
1. Finding P'Sont, using Ro like Furiel said - Con: we don't know how long it will take Ro to do this, and Blackferne could be in Sargo's hands already. Pro: It is the next link in the chain we've been following.
2. Picking a Lt. and contacting them. - Con: I don't know what we would try to accomplish. Pro: It seems like we are being pushed in this direction, so maybe we should go along with it for once?

Okay not to be pushy, but you guys need to figure out where to land. Gandolfini can't start on his new toon until Slick lands, and Slick can't land until you do. I'd hate for Gando to be sitting out too long. And yes I know maybe I should have thought about that before having half a dozen droids all focus fire on him.
