Also if you guys could start preparing your next level character sheets (Lvl3 for everyone but Cuspar who is level 2) we are approaching the end of this chapter.

Klak says "Any ale you have would be an excellent option."

He looks at Cuspar hoping a response will be dignified and friendly. Inside this villa is not the place to be caught off-gaurd with a fight, and the Sith would surely be upon them soon.

Ra'Wen hands Klak an ale.

"Somebody care to explain yourselves." Ro'Talth asks looking at the lot of you. "Anyone? I don't think we have much time here, so you had better explain yourselves or get the hell out of here."

Eli will raise his hand a little and give a small shake of his head to Ra'Wren to indicate he is passing on refreshment.

"Mr. Ro'Talth, I assure you that kidnapping was not our intention, and on behalf of the Aderbrent security divison I would like to extend our sincerest apologies for the rather...aggressive way that some of my colleagues approached yourself, Miss Ra'Wren and your security detail this evening. The fault is likely mine for that, as while we had created contingency plans for almost every possibility this evening, we did not have one for this particular situation and unfortunately in trying to assure your safety from the Sith we instead came off much more threatening and aggressive than what we intended. So again please Mr. Ro'Talth and Miss Ra'Wren please accept our deepest apologies.

Eli will look from Ro'Talth to Ra'Wren during the end of his aplogy to attempt to ensure that they both know he is sincere not just in his apology but in including them both in it.

Now however, I believe we should get to business. As Cuspar mentioned to you, we knew the Sith were coming. That information was the primary reason that we requested to meet with you this evening. We know why the Sith are here. We know why they have dispatched a Sith Warrior and 2 apprentices along with several battle droids to Kunga's compound. They have done so because of this man."

I will pull out the picture we have of Jounville from the portfolio I have been carrying

"What can you tell me of Kunga's interest in Jounville Blackferne?"

"Each one of us have our own separate interests in Mr Blackferne, however that is not important right now. What is important is why Kunga was or is interested in him, as it relates directly to why there is a Sith Battlecruiser in orbit currently."

"I don't see how a deadbeat we picked up for Sargo has anything to do with the Sith." He pauses and takes a sip of his brandy. "You might have heard rumors of Kunga attempting to fix the Boonta Eve Classic on Tat about 6 months ago. Well Sargo didn't like that and made his displeasure readily apparent. Well through some back channels between Kunga and Sargo, we were told if we did a few favors we'd earn our way back into Sargo's good graces. One of these errands was to get what's his face there. We were told he was a deadbeat whom Sargo wanted to make an example. But that doesn't tell me why a Sith Battle Cruiser is parked above Bryx at the moment. Instead of playing holo-vid detective of the week, how about how you tell me how this guy brings the Sith here. Was he some Sith big shot? How does Tsont'Ar play into this?"

Dood sets down his drink.

"I may be incorrect here, but my best guess is that Sargo was interested in more than just some missed payment by our esteemed friend here. After we had arrived at the location where your friends acquired him, we were met by a large contingent of Sith who were very, very interested in finding him and something in his possession as well.

Something tells me that there is more to this than a tardy collection of credits."

"As my Bothan friend points out, we were hoping that Kunga's interest in him would have shed some light on that situation. Unfortunately that does not appear to be the case. Then to expand on his point, there was some security cam footage that the Sith acquired when they came to Lok looking for Mr Blackferne which implicated one of Kunga's men in the kidnapping. So logically once they discovered that connection they are hear thinking Kunga has Jounville and that they will be taking him from Kunga by any means necessary. Knowing the Sith I find it unlikely that they will react very positively to the news that he is not in Kunga's possession."

I'll pull out the pics of the gamorrean with the tatoo and the other shots of the abduction

"As for Mr Tsont'Ar's connection. It is true that Cuspar met him in a purely social situation, and he called him looking for his advice for a tailor on this system. Mr Tsont'Ar decided to take that opportunity to send a message to you, so it does appear that the warning that you gave to us was one probably well heeded going forward. And finally, I do still believe that the reason Sargo wants Jounville is likely the same reason that the Sith do. And where the Sith are concerned it's probably in all of our best interests to make sure that they don't get what they want. So can you tell us what Kunga's men did with Jounville after they secured him on Lok?"

"Oh shit. I need to warn Kunga." Ro'Talth says with a panicked look on his face. He gets his commlink out and tries to connect. "Shit they have shut down comms."

He realized Eli asked him a question "Sargo told us to get this guy, and we directed Sargo to Pson't. The logistics were handled between Pson't and Sargo's men. Our crew supplied the ships and workers, but have been lent out for these operations."

"Mr. Ro'Talth, it's likely too late for Kunga. As I said before, not being able to get their prize will likely be upsetting to them, and most Sith react rather violently when they are upset. The questions you need to be asking yourself are these. If Kunga lives after this encounter, how will he feel toward you since you did not return to the compound when the quarantine was called? If the Sith do kill him, are they going to be looking for you to see if you have more information than Kunga did? And if both Kunga and the Sith let you live, what other tricks does Sargo have in-store for you down the road to "regain his favor"?

Now while you are pondering those questions we have one question for you, where can we find Pson't? He is the next link in the chain that we will be following, so if you can provide us with that information, then unless any of my collegues have any further questions, I think we would be making our leave so we can make our preparations to leave planet as soon as possible."

Persuasion: 17+7=24 [OOC: epic persuasion rolls continue!]

Ro'Talth. Allow me to also apologize for how things went sideways at the theater. We have been on eggshells for days, and when it seemed as though our opportunity to talk to you became fleeting... Well... Sometimes people pull out guns, and I too am guilty of that.

Cuspar bows deeply to Ra'Wen.
Miss Ra'Wen - it is inexcusable that you were caught in the middle of this. We will be in your debt indefinitely for that transgression.

He turns back to Ro'Talth.
Now. We seem to have been brought together for a reason. I swear on my barbels that I only know Tsont'Ar socially, and merely have am inkling that he is a person of influence. Whether he urged me to approach you out of ulterior motives or not, I have no idea. I do know this though. He knows more about the Sith than either of us. However, he does not know our friend nor does he know our resolve to rescue him. This is how I see it. Your boss knows where Jounville is. We want him back. And I believe we can ease your boss' dealings with the Sith approaching his compound. AND, I believe we can facilitate an amicable resolution to your business with Tsont'Ar. All we want in return is our friend, or, if he's been sold in carbonite, an idea where to go and thaw him out.

Perception: 16+13=29 (is he buying this?) [OOC: WOTC roller on fire!]
Here's what I suggest, and I'll allow my colleagues to jump in and help make this work. Our security team will go with your best men to intercept the small Sith infiltrating group. We have a score to settle with them, and would like to ask them some questions with our fists. In the meantime, we can take you, Ra'Wen, and a security detail to our ship. There, my colleague with the long forehead WILL be able to open a channel to your boss. We can also contact Tsont'Ar securely and arrange a discussion between you and him. I am confident we can leave you to your business on Bryx within a day, with the Sith gone, and us either with our friend, or on to our next place to search for him.

Cuspar looks at Ro'Talth sincerely.
Let's help each other. We're our own best hopes.
Cuspar

@ Eli
"Wait one goddamn second you little shit. You tell me that Kunga is likely dead, and that I'm going to be next, but if I manage to survive I get a world of hurt coming my way from Sargo of Kunga or maybe both, but you are going to just walk out of here and be on your way. Well first off fuck you. And second you aren't going anywhere with that Sith Battle Cruiser flying up there. You are in stuck here as long as they waltz around here. And quite frankly you need me a lot more than I think you realize." He walks up right into Eli's face.
"How much about how the Exchange do you really understand? If Kunga is dead I guarantee you that word is going to spread pretty damn fast in this galaxy that he is dead. Which means you are going to have a hard time finding Pson't because with his boss dead he is going to fall into hiding. Do you know where he'll go? Do you know which bosses he'll want to look for protection from? What about Sargo. Assuming Pson't delivered that deadbeat to him, how the hell are you going to find him? Do you have any idea where he is? I'm guessing not. And I'm guessing that your pal Tsont'Ar won't either. Whether you like it or not, you need someone like me or your investigation dies tonight when I do."

"Ro'Talth, please excuse our head of security, we keep him around for his fists not his mind. Listen time is short so I'll make it simple, we're all in a bad position here, and you have information that we want. What can we do for you to help get you out of this situation? We will glady assist in any way we can."

You'll live through the night with us. If you'd met with us in the intermission, you'd have known that the Sith were coming. So don't brush us off. Clearly, the "little shits" in this room with you had better intelligence than the Exchange this time. Now. Think things through. You have 5 guards. But right now, you also have a Jedi, a professional fighter, a soldier, an expert slicer, master tacticians and more IN THIS VILLA. Let's quit wasting our WHALADON-FUCKING TIME and get to our ship and SOLVE THIS FUCKING PROBLEM. Before you, and us, are dead, and your girlfriend has three Sith... Light sabers... in her at once.

Cuspar's cool countenance is gone. His eyes are bulging, and he's standing about 6 inches from Ro'Talth.

With a look at Syric

"This coming from the man who drew a pair of pistols this evening when things didn't go exactly as planned."

Eli rolls his eyes at the end of his statement, then turns back to Ro'Talth

"However, I believe you misunderstand me sir, I unfortunately am not as conversationally gifted as my Mon Calamari friend is. I do fully agree with you that we need each other's help, and all I was trying to communicate to you is my belief in the urgency of our leaving this location and likely the planet as well, and that I believe it may well be in your best interest to accompany us. My apologies for not being clearer."

Sure, he pisses Ro off and then has a snide remark for me when I try to apologize for him in the middle of this shit...what a little bitch

Syric ignores Eli's comment, deciding not to point out that the goons had already started drawing their weapons when he drew his, and speaks again to Ro'Talth, "We need to work together sir, and time is getting short"

"So what is your guys plan exactly?" He says walking around the couch towards the bar for a refill "We'll just go to the starport where I assume your ship is, hop on board and fly away? Need I remind you of the giant fucking BATTLE CRUISER full of sith fighters flying around the planet at the moment?" He refills his glass "Let's look at facts. First I don't know you at all. We have a fish who dresses up nice and bumps into me at the show the other night, and mentions a name I haven't heard in a while but don't exactly have fond memories of. Second, the time I meet the rest of you jackasses it is evacuating a theater because of a sith invasion against my boss seemingly. But you set up this ambush in the alleyway, which for all I know was going to happen later in the evening anyway. You three had weapons drawn" He points at Bulwark, Cuspar, and Syric. "You two turned a speeder to block our exit " He points at Dood and Klak. "And you have a light saber, but no robes and I'm supposed to believe you are a Jedi" He points at Wailer dressed in his worksuit. "Third, you say you knew the Sith were coming, but you didn't think to mention that in your message. If you had said that maybe I wouldn't have waited until after the show for our agreed meet up, because that seems like an emergency situation. And to be honest it is a bit suspect that you predict a Sith visit after it has occurred. Hey guys guess what I predicted that Qartali was going to win the Aerotech Cup last year! Sure I don't have any evidence to show you now on that. You'll just have to trust me." He says throwing his wands up in a mocking manner. "Fourth, your plan seems to be 'we have to leave now' when all evidence says leaving now is a really bad idea. So tell me wise ones how the fuck you intend to get past the Sith!"

The Taris Event Chapter 2

Post by Arrican » Fri Apr 01, 2011 8:47 pm

"Got a link to the holonet in this swanky pad?"
that's said to anyone I think will point me at one.

I tap back into the camera systems for the local pd I'm assuming I still can access it since I did before. And hook into cameras at a 2-3 mile radius from our current location to watch for incoming sith.

Ok, here's what I can try to do. Scary exchange boss guy I need to know if you have any slicers or access to any acquired sith ship codes. If not we are screwed. If so I may be able to mask our ships id's and keep them confused enough until we get out of the gravity well to jump to hyperspeed to a course already plotted into our nav system so it shouldn't take too long to jump. Also as you can see on the monitors I've given as much warning as I think we are going to need should they decide they're done with Kunga. And if youve got any ideas or suggestions that my techie ass can start working on I'd be happy to listen to them. Until then I'm gonna watch for the Sith that are going to kill us. K? Thx.
exchange underbosses don't scare me as much anymore. Lol
