I think keeping the size of the group down who's actually meeting with Ro'Talth would be advisable. I think 3 should probably be the most that actually meet with him. Having other people inside the theater but not directly at the meet available to come to the rescue if needed would be very handy. I'm just worried we might spook him and put him on the defensive if we come in with 5 or 6 people.

I think our best use of assets for the situation would be Cuspar, me and either Wailer or Syric at the meet. Dood and Wailer or Syric inside but not at the meet, with Bulwark and Klak outside with blasters ready to provide covering fire if needed. So Leet will be whereever he feels he has best access to security cameras and other surveilance equipment to be our eye in the sky. I can see arguements for both sides for which group Syric and Wailer are with so we will need to hash that out, but beyond that I think we've got a solid base of a plan to work with.

And I'm just going to say now so we know at least where Eli stands, in the unlikely event of a water landing, I mean Sith landing/attack, during our trip to the theater, I fully intend to make sure Ro'Talth leaves the theater alive and with me and I will escort him to the Sweet D and he'll be leaving the planet with us. Whether he, his security and the Sith like it or not.

Syric should go with Cuspar and Eli. Having Wailer there in his robes puts a whole different spin on the meeting and may cause problems. Wailer will wait at the Puke Cafe in his coveralls and assist with extraction if necessary.

@ Tsont'Ar

There are those of us who would lie, steal and kill to rescue our friend. There are some among us who would kill the bastards who took him for vengeance alone, whether he was rescued or not. We have amongst us computer slicers, spies, survivalists, soldiers, fighters, tacticians, the son of a senator, and even a Jedi Knight. We were brought together by Jounville's father, and by chance. Mr. Tsont'Ar - if you can help us, in any way - I would have the men of Aderbrent introduce themselves to you personally.

[OOC: hope this is ok with you guys - didn't want to squeal names, or mention Eoc. sorry it took so long. working on getting the Ventrilo server up and running...]

@ Cuspar

"Sounds like quite the crew you have assembled. If they are committed and willing as you suggest then we can start down this road together. I am behind the ball on this as I have no previous knowledge of Mr. Blackferne. But if you have reason to believe that Kunga was involved, given my knowledge of his operation an interview with Mr. Ro'Talth would be in order. Kunga doesn't order tea without Ro'Talth knowing about it. I would love to be there in person, but given our distance over a comm station like we are speaking on now would be sufficient if you can bring him to your ship. Given Kunga's paranoia over a dispute with Sargo, getting to that slimy worm is pretty much out anyway. Not unless Aderbrent can muster a small army. Anyway I digress. Your chief aim needs to be securing Mr. Ro'Talth either by persuasion or by force and bringing him into an area where you control the surroundings. A secure place of operations. A word of caution, he is very reluctant to go anywhere without his guards, but they cannot be allowed to stay with him. Their loyalty is to Kunga, and a discussion with outsiders that has any hint of betrayal would be messy. Call me when you get Ro'Talth. I will see what I can dig up on the Sith's interest in Kunga and what if any connection Mr. Blackferne plays into it."

@ Tsont'Ar

Thank you, sir. I will be in contact with you very shortly with our plans to get to Ro'Talth. Truthfully, that WAS our plan of action but your advice will definitely make modification to our approach.

The Taris Event Chapter 2

Post by Arrican » Mon Mar 28, 2011 6:44 pm

Basically I realize my main skills fall under support at this time. I can't strong arm or intimidate anyone. And I don't have a golden tongue. So I'll be with the ship getting it prepped for a quick dust off if we get our guy on it.

I'll also be working on scrambling signals about our direction of travel if again we need to run.

Now if someone could perchance get me one of the droids buzzing the compound I could tear it apart and figure out where it's coming from. That at best is tertiary to our main plan.

[ooc: did the Bartender / Owner of the establishment accept my appology?]

If Klak is allowed to be in the Bar, he has a few drinks and then heads back to the ship.

He opens his Comm to everyone and says

"Ok clearly my plan was not ok with anyone. What is the running plan? Where should my soldier muscle be? I can be in the bar across from the Alley to watch for any issues or I can use my fancy new suit and join the party inside. Im looking for direction since others are leading this effort now."

So, I have like 12 pages of OOC stuff to read. Why is Dood necessary outside of the theater?

Regardless, if the group feels Dood should be outside doing surveillance or whatever, that's where Dood is. If not, Dood's on the ship. Dood IRL is trying to fix an IRL crisis.

You got a brochure about opening a savings account with the Banking Clan, they offer rather reasonable interest rates. But beyond that there was no other hitches.

Current balance 7949.

@ everyone

Given that the one thing we do know is that I'll be trying to talk to Ro'Talth, I'm going to go to Saltori and try and get a message to him that we have some information that we think would be of interest to him and that I'll be at the theater on Friday night. I'm going to go myself, because I'm the only one Ro'Talth knows and I don't want to draw any extra attention.

@GM

"Welcome to Saltori Merchant Services, my name is Bax. How might I assist you today?" A bright chipper young Zabrak male says as you enter the office. The office has a counter which Bax is sitting behind and a few chairs in what amount to a waiting area. The wall has various drab pieces of art and there is a door leading to the back office.

Cuspar feels his gills, and his asshole, tighten. He briefly thinks about giving Bax his alias, Pouvoir Vandertramp, in case Ro'Talth is actually there - thereby almost guaranteeing a claim of unavailability. Ultimately, he decides that he can dance around the truth well enough.

Cuspar Inriv'E, from Aderbrent Services.

"Just a moment" Bax makes a call over the comm station looking down for a second "uh huh, okay." He looks back up at you. "I'm afraid Mr. Ro'Talth is busy meeting our customer's needs at this time. Perhaps you would like to schedule an appointment or leave a message?" Bax grins.

@ Bax

Please give him the following message. And Bax. This message is urgent. I trust that you will ensure that he gets it.

Cuspar narrows his eyes in the typical Mon Calamari manner indicating seriousness.

Mr. Inirv'E and his colleagues from Aderbrent services have come across some information that he may find to be of critical importance. Mr. Inirv'E would like to share this information with him as thanks for his hospitality in the Patron's Lounge the other night at the theater. I and my colleagues will be waiting in the lobby during the intermissions of Friday's performance, and would appreciate a moment of his time to share this information.

"Can I get a message to Mr. Ro'Talth?"

@ Bax Wotuun

Thank you Bax. I can tell you're a valuable employee of Mr. Ro'Talth, and I wouldn't be surprised if he singled you out for special treatment once he gets the information I have. And please tell him that I said that this time, the brandy is on me.

Cuspar leaves Soltari, and goes back to the ship to strategize.

If there is a liquor vendor on my way, I'll buy a six pack of Quarrenese Ale. Or whatever is the kelpiest.

Having left the ship at the same time as Cuspar, Syric had taken a different path in search of a weapons dealer who could suppy him with a pistol and a holster.

Syric goes to purchase a Pulse-wave pistol, a concealed shoulder holster and a concealed waistband holster. He would then check his credits and think about purchasing a Blaster pistol.

Syric takes his purchases and returns to the ship, placing the new pistol in his concealed shoulder holster in place of the ion pistol, putting on the new shoulder holster and placing the ion pistol there.
