I was tempted to shoot with the blaster and hope for some good rolls. If my luck held out I had a chance to take him out, but it didn't seem fitting for Syric.

How long will this campaign last? Would someone else GM the next one? Would we keep these characters? This sentence ends with a question mark?

Backing off was the better move for you and your character long term.
Joun texted me when this all broke down and I told him I intended to beat you into unconciousness then to take all your guns and all your booze away from you since you clearly couldn't handle them.
However in a situation like this one it's not in Eli's nature to press a fight so by backing off when you did you spared yourself the necessity of having to either prove your trustworthiness to Eli and thereby having him give you your weapons back, or having to steal them back from him.

I am in it to GM one campaign which should end when you guys are level 20. So chances are they wouldn't want to deal with you guys running around as level 20 badasses. That isn't to say you couldn't start over same name class etc etc. The next GM (if there is one) might select a different time period completely. And yes that sentence did end with a question mark.Whiteness wrote:How long will this campaign last? Would someone else GM the next one? Would we keep these characters? Generally a peaceable monk. However knowingand having spent time with Jounville, and having discussed the preachings of Alvis with him, Eli also believes that one of the only things that Alvians, which Syric, Dood, Klak and Cuspar all proclaim to be, respect is violence and threats thereof, so whenever there is conflict within the group Eli's solution is to insert himself between the parties and tell them to stop or their going to end up having to fight him first.Whiteness wrote:I don't quite have a handle on Eli yet, is he some peaceable monk or an angry hot-head?Furiel wrote:Backing off was the better move for you and your character long term.

Eli just comes off as a bit of a hot-head in game because the only times he seems to speak for the most part is where there is a fight and he feels he has to intervene to calm things down, and traveling with a bunch of followers of a religion based on drunken vengence natually leads to conflict... Conflicts Eli would prefer to avoid because he feels they are counter-productive to what we're really supposed to be doing out here, finding Porkchop.
