Trinal agrees. "Stavis, can you do that Traveler's Camouflage ritual? That may help also."

"Stavis can cover our tracks with the ritual, Tony Plush will be on point. Do you have anything more specific than the mountain to the north Vic?"

"Well keep in mind I've not been this way for over 80 years, so things do change. But when the citadel was built it housed an army which a long time ago had to defend itself from another seige. This was before Antika Sinnum had fallen. Anyway the Master Commanders then had made tunnels to allow small units to go and torment the seiging army. Over time the tunnels failed to be of practical use so many were not maintained and crumbled. A handful were maintained mostly as a reminder to some military lessons, and also as a chore for misbehaving soldiers. 'Fighting your commanding officer, go clear the cobwebs in the tunnels. I would imagine their current situation would have them in reuse, and they may have made more. Regardless on the outside they will be hidden so we need to look for things that are out of place, but not terribly so. Like a pine cone nailed to an aspen." Victae says.

"It's a good thing that Tony Plush is super observant then! Let's get moving..."

Tony will wait until Stavis is done with the ritual then unless someone has something else to say/so Tony will start blazing a trail

"Of course I will also take up the rear to further conceal our tracks and watch for any Chulussa coming up the rear. I would also suggest Victea to be close to the front to help aleave any defenders concern that sees us and not take us for foes."

"This will work for 10 hours so will signal when I feel the effect wear off so we can reapply if necessary."

20-29 Stealth +5 Find Tracks -5
30+ Stealth +10 Find Tracks -10

When following behind the group Stavis will use a branch or anything else that could help conceal the track but won't put a lot of effort since he is merely helping to conceal beyond what the ritual will be doing and will be more focus on watching for any Chulussa patrols.

[OOC also didn't get a response Joun to my question so do I take that to mean we don't have necessary materials as Stavis would have offered to make a copy of this Ritual into Trinal's ritual book though Trinal would have still needed to study for 8 hours to be able to perform it.]

Oh yeah you got the necessary mats, just need the time.

The party starts towards the mountain. One thing Syric noticed when overlooking the army in the plain was that they had banners which stylistically were similar to what you guys saw on your death day. Also unlike then they clearly have infantry units and are in the process of building siege engines (though in designs you do not know exactly how they will work).

The part moves through the forest looking for things that are "just slightly out of place". Perception checks if you are interested in doing that (Stavis's will count as he has already rolled).

[OOC K assuming it takes just two nights Trinal would then have Travelers Camouflage in his book and would then just need to spend the 8 hours to be able to perform it. Though if not seeing as they are very deep into enemy territory Stavis would hold off on working more either to finish or start another.]

Seeing the army, Syric's mind instantly jumped back in time. Fear washed over him, until he noticed a sharp pain in his hand. Coming back to the present, unclenched his fist to find his token from the gods. When did I grab that?

With his fear washed away somehow, Syric pauses to make a prayer to Melora and a promise to Kord before following the others to search for the tunnels.

Walking along the party seems stumped as to where these supposed tunnels could be Victae reassures them they are marked but Trinal and Tony seem doubtful.

"This is like searching for a needle in a hayfield." Atrios gripes.

Syric's mind wanders slightly as they wander along until he notices a dark gray limestone boulder about the size of a human head half covered by snow.

"Guys I think I found it." he says with a smirk.

"Lad that's just a rock. There are tons of them about."Atrios says.

"Yeah, but this is it. It is gray limestone." Syric says.

"And what makes you so bloody certain? All the rocks here are gray!" exclaims Atrios.

"Yeah they are all grey, but every other rock we've seen for the better part of 100 miles has been various forms of granite. This is limestone. Limestone even gray limestone shouldn't be around here." Syric says.

Victae smiles and pushes the rock revealing underneath a rune. She puts her hand on it and says in elvish "My strength is tempered by my wisdom."

Nearby about 20 feet away an illusion of a wall fades and a small opening reveals itself.

Before the group enters "Good catch Syric, doubt they could be more obvious without risk the enemy noticing"

Staris will be extra vigilant ensuring their tracks are concealed leading into the cave and that there isn't any watchful eyes.

Once inside the cave Stavis will ask Victea if there is anything that is done to reapply the magic concealing the door or if it will reapply itself. If the later Stavis will want to stay and wait till it reapplies itself feeling out with his arcane senses to ensure it has reallied to help make sure others aren't able to follow behind.

"I would suggest presuming yes, as the war could mean there are now when in the past there weren't."

"If I recall correctly the little rune thingy reapplies the tunnel opening in a few moments. I don't understand magic so there is that. As for traps, there weren't before, but that was peacetime. So my guess is be careful." Victae says stepping into the tunnel.

"Tony Plush is on point, leave a little space so we don't all get caught on the unlikely event Tony Plush misses something..."

Tony will lead the group down through the tunnel, moving at least 15' ahead of the group.

Once Stavis feels the magic reapply itself will position himself behind Tony by a few steps and ensure Victea is behind him, likewise be a few steps, to ensure she is close at hand for when they encounter the guards.

"Yes, smart but quickly."

"Hopefully two sets of eyes will ensure nothing gets missed, I would really hate going threw the arduous task of finding a Tony Plush replacement." He can't help but move forward the distance patting Tony on the shoulder before returning to his spot. "Can't help but feel the mold got used but once."

After having his brief moment of camaraderie will again be all business "I will whistle for you Tony if I see something that you seem to have missed but would otherwise suggest hand signal" showing a clenched fist raised to head height as a signal to stop "to ensure the group stops quickly should we find something."

The tunnel winds around for a while with no internal light source. The tunnel has a cool chill to it and occasionally you come across some mud. After about an hour you come to an iron portcullis. About twenty feet past the portcullis. On the other side of that is an area with torches and two soldiers. They don't see you yet and are talking quietly to themselves.

Trinal looks to Victae and raises his eyebrows, then gestures with his head to the guards. Whispering, he says "You want to talk to them or should I?"
