This is under the assumption that while So Leet and Zeid are going through the ships that Bulwark, Klak and I are all staying outside and out of their way...

Eli turns to Klak
"Klak, I recognize that this is incredibly unlikely, but were or are you at all acquianted with a Zabrak by the name of Garon Tosh? Or perhaps know of any relatives or kin of his? He and I were well acquianted, but we...lost touch and I have been unable to reconnect with him since that time. I was thinking that perhaps a worldly Zabrak like yourself may have encountered him in your travels."
They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

@ Syric and Dood

A middle aged man with curly hair dark hair, a goatee, leisure robes and sandals walks slowly into the room with a big welcoming smile and outstretched arms. "Welcome friends. I am sorry for this delay. My assistant informs me you are here about work? Let me tell you what I'm looking for. I need runners. Because of unfortunate punitive orders by various legal authorities I'm confined to this hell hole." He gestures around to a large room full of expensive things in an estate that is very large as well. "So my business needs temporary labor until I get a few things worked out. So right now I need a couple of good pilots with a good ship to make two runs past a Sith Empire blockade to one of their planets to deliver merchandise. Each run pays 5,000 credits. I would appreciate a labor force who can go undetected." He takes a lounging seat on a large sofa.

"So tell me about yourselves, who have you worked for and what kind of running have you done before?"

"Thanks for meeting with us Vorat. Well, the people we've worked for are the kind of people that don't care to be named, but we've run everything that can be run from the Minos Cluster to Bastion at the end of Braxton Run, all the major trade routes, everything from the deep core to wild space, you'll find few that can match our experience" Syric says with a confident, friendly smile.

Cuspar calls Dood with his long-range com link. (use computer. Taking 10+8=18, assuming it goes through)

(OOC. Two actions at once here because I'm going out for a bit)
Dood. It's Cuspar. Can you talk privately?

(Assuming Dood can excuse himself, I say the following, once private. If not, I hold the following comment until he can speak privately and say instead Hail me as soon as you're able. It's urgent .)

Dood. I was unable to find direct hirable transport to Bryx or a neighbouring system. There ARE abundant options to the core and inner worlds though. Any progress? Also, your Columbi friend may have run afoul of security at the spaceport. Is he worth the trouble of me investigating further?

At the sound of his commlink beeping, Dood silences it, making a mental note to contact Cuspar later.

Cuspar repeats above, but trys to hail Klak. (again. Assuming use computer for commlink. Take 10+8=18)

Repeat exact previous action substituting Klak for Dood.

"One minute Cuspar" Klak says dismissing his comlink.

"Eli, I'm not sure if I remember that particular Zabrak"
Perception: (1d20)+7: 12,+7 Total:19

"I will say this. I'm not liking the idea of spending all our drinking credits on a ship here. Maybe there are better options if we seek out Kunga and gather more info on....errr.....porkchop?"

Klan continued to think about his Past and if he knew Eli's Zabrak.

So back to your ship, what kind of stealth measures doe sit have, I only keep asking because if I need to help add detection countermeasures I want to get on it sooner than be caught with nasty surprise later."

"Well we usually run with a full array of sensor jammers, but we took some damage from an ionic discharge and my staff are currently working on replacing them, though they've had some snags in locating the parts they need." Syric says with a brief glance to his own rodian ale.

To Zeid:"Concerning the all green one. What is the best price you could do for a flat out purchase, figuring we're discussing financing it at 28k credits, I figure you could save yourself the time and trouble of worrying about the interest and getting it down to a nice even 25k credits. So what I'm going to do now is take my companions with me and go discuss the options. We'll return shortly to finalize our decision. Thank you for your time."
Persuasion 10+3 = 13
I gather up the rest of the group and start heading back to the Dusty Bantha, if Zeid attempts to detain or make counteroffers, I politely excuse ourselves and indicate we will return.
Commlink: "This is So, I may have some leads on transport, I'll be at the bar waiting to hear about other options."
Head back to the bantha.

If So Leet's comm chatter came through, Dood says:

Speak of the Devorian. Sir, if you'll excuse me, it sounds like our ship's engineer may have some information pertaining to this. If you'll excuse me for a moment.

Otherwise, Dood says:

Sir, if I may. We are possessed of the expertise to meet your needs. We have more than one engineer and stealth, if I may be so bold, is my specialty.

"Sensor jammers are good. Give me a list of the parts you are missing and I'll see if my fixer can get them for you at wholesale price so you don't pay retail. If you don't have ship profile masking transponder I'll need you to install one, and I'll be more than happy to install it for free. Just something pretty useful in making ships in your area think you are something else if you don't want the mess of a sensor jammer." Vorat says quite pleased.

The Taris Event Chapter 2

Post by Reese » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:12 pm

Klak looks to Zeid and says in Zabrak "Cousin, you will have to excuse me. I'm going to discuss your generous deal over an ale with my compatriots".

Klak gives a small nod and turns to head to the Cantina.

Once in the Dusty Banhta Klak takes a table without trying to draw the attention of Bran. This time he's only talking to the waitresses. Good thing too, cause they are better looking.

@ So Leet and Klak "I don't know about 25k, but I'll think it over. Come back soon when you are ready to buy, hopefully these ships will still be here!" Zeid says in your departing.

@Klak The first person you talk to at the Dusty Bantha who you think is a waitress is kind of confused by your manner. Bran shouts over at you "Hey buddy! If you want a drink you get it from me or my brother in law, not other customers."

"Cuspar, come in, we are all back at the Dusty Bantha. Its the only place an Alvian should end the evening."

Klak leans back and asks his friends already around the table
So are we:
Getting a ship from Zeid on credit?
Taking a loan from Buppo, getting a ship and have to make his runs?
Hop a transport to Bryx to find Kunga?
Hop a transport to Coruscant for a better ship deal?
Hope Dood & Syric made out better with Vorat?

Personally I know the utility of having a ship is great. Lets just get one from Zeid on credit and get to Bryx as fast as we can. We will find a way to wire the credits to Zeid and I know a Zabrak like him will be true to his word."

Klak rubbed his missing horn and thought for a minute. "Look, all I know is I want to get to Bryx. Im done waiting and talking, I think its time we act on finding Jo...err....Porkchop."
