"You're looking at Aderbrent Services, affiliated with Fossar Shipping, and I think we could be of assistance to you. You're Buppo right? You look busy so I'll cut to the point. We happened to hear that you have a surplus of cargo and you're looking for some reputable hands to help move it. Now with Aderbrent Services you'll never have to worry about such things as permits, or other bureaucratic garbage, we take full responsibility of the cargo from start to end. We carefully appraise all staff to ensure you get high quality service." Syric says with a reassuring look.

"Now, do you have a moment to talk with us?

@ Cuspar you notice he is mildly impressed by the mention of Fossar Shipping
@ Syric

"You guys looking to ship perishable supplies to the core worlds? What kind of carrying capacity does your ship have, and what class hyperdrive we looking at?"
Buppo says sizing you up, but also cutting to the chase. "I pay by the ton, not by transit time. I want that known upfront."

Cuspar immediately changes posture. He is upright, formal and alert. He takes a step forward so he is beside the others rather than behind them, but still says nothing.

Klak does his best to show off any and all soldier regalia he has. Tapping on his travel mug. Standing as tall as he can. And tries his best to not sway under the effects of the Calamari's stinky ale.

For Now, Klak thinks Im keeping my mouth shut. Unless they need my help of course.

It seems like I was slightly misinformed, I was under the impression that you just had a lack of reliable employees but could assist with transportation...

I knew we should have checked out the shipyard first, alright siver tongue, don't fail me now

"We recently had a little setback which is why we're here on Tatooine trying to re-establish our business. We were on Siskeen until the jobs dried up which gave us a little debt issue with a local banking clan. We knew there was no sense sticking around and this was as far as we could get with the little we had left over from selling our transport after the bank took their cut."

"We'd all but given up on the business until we happened across a representitive of Fossar Shipping. News of the quality work we do managed to filter up to them and their representative has given us an advance to try and get back on our feet, and if we prove ourselves we're looking to gain a much larger role in their operations."

"The only problem is the advance is not enough to cover all the costs of a new ship, so we were hoping to find some assistance in that arena. I was hoping you might have something we could use and make some arrangement to work it off"

Eli drops back a pace behind and slightly to the right of So Leet and continues to follow him, trying very much to look like he's a bodyguard assigned to protecting So Leet. Once inside if we are invited to sit Eli will continue to stand in the back of the room and near the door and adopt his typical blank-face, arms crossed stance.

@ Whiteness et al

"You gotta be shitting me." He turns to the human blindly tapping away at the data terminal. "They gotta be shitting me."
"They got to be shitting you sir." The human tapping away says in the most deadpan disinterested tone you have ever heard.
"Look I don't need just pilots. I need ships. The long and the short of it is my normal fleet is being screwed up the ass because of some prick with a damn ego on Corellia thinks that he is entitled to a freaking bribe." Buppo moves over to his desk and pops a pill and follows it with a huge swig of water from a glass. "So you come in here with no ship? Let me ask this before we go any further, do you have any pilots or did the banking clan take a cut of them too?"

Dood pulls out his Commlink to get in touch with Bulwark (does it work like that?).

Buppo is...cranky. Are you guys at the shipyard? And if so, what's it going to take to get us a ship. I don't think we can count on great generosity - or patience - from this man.

"Our pilots and crew are second to none, and they're extremely loyal to Aderbrent Services" Syric says trying to regain control.

"Some of my fine staff are locating a replacement ship as we speak while others are securing the additional financing that is needed Syric pauses, starts to bring his flask to his lips before he pauses with an odd look in his eyes.

Placing the flask back in his jacket he says "I just thought, with the predicament you're in now that you may be inclined to help us to help you. I'm not sure how long it will take them to secure the financing, but I have no doubt they will succeed. And then, if you're still in business, I'm sure we could talk about employment then"

Syric gives Buppo a hard look, "but if you would like to recitfy the situation you find yourself and at the same time earn the favor of Fossar Shipping, I think the smartest decision would be one that benefits us all"

"We're not looking for a handout, just a little help in closing a deal on a ship so we can be of service to you." Syric says as he humbly bows his head slightly.

Buppo pauses, tilts his head and looks at you for a long moment. "So let me see if I get this straight. You have no ship, but have pilots, good pilots. They are looking to buy a ship right now, and you are hoping that if you get some contract work from me, I'd help put an advance on purchasing that ship. So I help you, you pay off your debt, I get my crap to the core, you get a ship to restart your failed business. Am I understanding that right? Because if I am, let me tell you what I am and am not willing to do. First you must get at least a class 3 hyperdrive. I don't need a freaking generational ship to get gurk milk to Corellia. Second, you will work for me, and only me until that debt is paid off. You take stuff from here to core ports, then bring stuff back for me to distribute. Third I know these routes, and I know astronavigation so I know how long these trips take, you got to understand that I'm not a fool. So if you aren't back here loading and unloading freight by the time I see fit, I will send out collection agents to get your ship and your asses for fraud. I don't dick around gentlemen. I want to make that point absolutely clear. I do not dick around. Finally since you don't have a ship and I'd be risking on your company you don't get my normal rate of 100cr/ton, you get 50cr/ton. That is my offer. When you find a ship and figure out how much you need, let me know." He turns around. "Get me Ty on the comm. I got some questions for him."

@ Reese, So Leet, Eli, Bulwark

A Zabrak greets you as you walking to the dealership.
"Gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen! I want to welcome you to Zeid's! WE HAVE DEALS! You guys walked on to this lot looking for a ship. You want a ship. I can help you get a ship. So talk to me. Tell me what kind of ship are you looking for. There are 4 of you, something sporty? Maybe a yacht? You look like you want a yacht!" He points at Eli who I assume is stone faced and unemotional. "Yeah, he wants a yacht, he's just not showing it so much at the moment." He pats Eli on the chest in a friendly manner. "Wow you are strong. Check this guy out he is a strong one. Hey Tarante I got you a new boyfriend! He is strong!"

Tarante, an attractive Twi'lek working at a desk looks up with a coy smile. "Oh Zeid." She giggles.

"So tell me, talk to me, help me help you!" He says. In Zabrak he says to Klak "Hey it is my brother! Zabrak pride baby!"

"Come on guys give me something to work with. Did you like anything on the lot? How's this going?" He says really energized.

They aren't responding on the Commlink. I was trying to find out how much we'd need and what options we had. What happened with Buppo?

If you hadn't slipped away I wouldn't have to tell you Syric says with a hint of frustration to his voice as he glares at Dood.

After a pause he softens his expression, "Sorry, forget what I said, I guess Buppo made me a little touchy. It sounds like he might help us, but we need at least a class 3 hyperspeed, we can't take any other jobs if we work for him, if we don't do his jobs in a timely manner he'll hunt us down and we only get paid half the normal rate

The Taris Event Chapter 2

Post by Arrican » Fri Mar 04, 2011 9:12 pm

pleasure to meet you honorable zeid. I represent aderbrent industries an affiliate of fossar enterprises. We are in need of a vessel. I see a few that might be of interest to us. Specifically the ebon hawk class and a 578-r. We are looking at potentially establishing a new arm of our trading operations from this planet. We are in negotiations to handle cargo and would like to find a local purveyor of ships so we don't waste fuel getting our ships here with an empty payload. Because of the potential for future orders we are looking for a mutually beneficial deal concerning the first ship we procure in either a sizeable discount with a promise of future vehicle purchases based on quality or a decent rate of credit with a moderate down payment."

Bulwark steps away from the salesman to speak privately into the comlink, "No side routes sounds like an issue. Did he give you an indication on how much he is willing to put upfront for us to get a ship? If we get a class 2 hyperdrive, but tell him it's a class 3, then we should have enough time to do some side errands. On the other hand, if we are able to get something inexpensive, we may not need his help. I'll keep you up to date with that we find here."

"Ahhh you are traders! I got it. Zeid gets it. This one is muscles then?" He says nodding towards Eli. "Well sadly for you there is only one Ebon Hawk, I think you mean the pair of Dynamic Class Freighters out there! They are good ships. They are good ships, yeah. I can get you out of here in the Blue one for let's say 35k credits. The Yellow trim one is more. It has some modifications that up its carrying capacity by 5 tons. So for the yellow you are looking at 40k. Now the 578-Rs are good ships too. But what kind of budget are you working on?" Zeid replies. His reaction is animated, he clearly loves playing the deal making part of the sell.

Bulwark Ponders to himself, 'I would how much of a discount he would give us if we gave him a slightly used Gungan Jedi in trade.'
