While Stavis and Tony head towards a blacksmith Stavis will ask Tony to get a status update from the group that meet with Brick.

@Trinal and the Brute

He whimpers and starts soft prayer.
"Lord Bha'al, master of the dead, rightful ruler of the end of days, provide me salvation in the face of opposition, provide me strength against temptation to the truth, provide me rest in the face of pain, and I shall be your servant and do your bidding." He closes his eyes and starts to hum.

[Whiteness]

Syric would have broken the second finger as soon as he mentioned Bha'al.

Crying in pain he finished his prayer.

[Whiteness]

Syric leans in and whispers "I actually hope you don't tell us anything, I've never gotten the chance to test the limits of the human body like this" then leans back and grabs another finger.

[Blackferne]

"Kill me if you must hooligan, I will ascend to Bha'al's army and fight valiantly in the next realm." he says defiantly before going back to humming his tune obviously in pain.

[Whiteness]

"You would be surprised what you can live through." Syric says as he breaks a third finger.

[Jimer Lins]

"A moment. Leave off his hands for a moment, my friend." Trinal looks at the man with sympathy. "I respect your dedication and conviction to your cause. Truly, I do. But I sincerely doubt you're ready to visit the next realm just yet. Perhaps we can arrange something to our mutual benefit. We get what we want and you don't end up dying in horrible pain."

He pauses, and waits for him to look up.

"Now, here's what I suggest. You give us the information, and we hold you in safety and relative comfort while we look into it. If the information is accurate, when we return, we will arrange for you to be taken away from this area, given a bit of gold to start fresh and allowed to go on your way, free from both our host and your former companions."

His tone hardens just a tiny bit. "If you are at all interested in staying in this realm a bit longer, and maybe making some better choices, this is an opportunity you shouldn't pass up."

While Stavis and Tony head towards a blacksmith Stavis will ask Tony to get a status update from the group that meet with Brick.

Tony will pull out the sending stone as requested:

"Team minstrel to team Brick, what's your status team brick?"

Trinal smiles at the Army of Blood guy. "Please give what I've said serious thought. I'll be back in a moment."

Stepping away and out of immediate earshot he quietly speaks into the stone. "In the middle of some... negotiations at the moment. I'll contact you shortly."

[Jimer Lins]

Returning to the subject at hand, Trinal quietly walks across the floor back to him.

"So, my friend. What shall it be?"

[Furiel]

Tony looks at Stavis

"We've been put on hold."

[Staris]

"Hmmmm, they seem to be ok so don't need to be rescued, so that's a plus. Though it may not hurt to ask for periodical updates to ensure that stays that way."

Stavis will then check with any blacksmiths for the thurium they will need, whether successful or not will postilion the two close to the meeting place with Brick doing street performances as the excuse for their being there. Any monies made will be discretely given to the poor.

Panting he says "I don't know where it is, but....it you find Kortsha, he can get you there. He usually goes fishing up river in the morning along the northern branch getting trout. He works in the reliquary in the evenings and can get you in. Now please please stop with the fingers."

Trinal smiles. "There. I told you he could be reasonable."

To Victae and Syric he says "Let's find our host, shall we?"

Pressing pause. I'm driving up to Dallas this afternoon, should be back on friday and then we resume.

[Staris]

I will also need the pause but won't get back until Monday but I am okay with the group continuing when you get back

You leave the chained man and make your way upstairs and see Brick drinking next to the fire. His body man is standing at attention as you walk in.

"I 'eard some screaming. I 'ope a little progress was made." he asks inquisitively.

[Jimer Lins]

"We were, although it wasn't easy. It's not easy to get those who are convinced they are due a reward in the afterlife that they should provide information. We offered him his life and a trip out of Brackton with a little pocket money, then gave him the alternative. He seemed to consider the matter carefully."

Trinal clears his throat. "Your guest claims not to know himself where the reliquary is, but says that a gentleman named 'Korsha' does, and that this Korsha can be found fishing for trout in the mornings along the northern branch of the river. Apparently he works in the reliquary in the evenings and could get us in."

"I suggest that we give the guest some water, bind his fingers and house him for a bit while we verify this. Once we've established the truth- and I'd be surprised if it wasn't but anything's possible- I assume you can do the necessary to uphold our end of the bargain. If the money is an issue, you can take a few gold pieces out of our fee."

[Blackferne]

"We'lll take care of 'im. You trake down this gent tomorrow for fishin, and report back." Brick says. He turns to his attendant, "Go get the girl to mend the poor sap down stairs."

Back to you guys

"Thanks for the work, I look forward to the follow up. Now you gents have a good day." He tosses a small pouch with about 20 gold in it.

Trinal nods politely. "A pleasure, sir."

Unless anyone objects, I expect we'll take our leave. As soon as we're clear we'll find a quiet spot and I'll call Tony back. "We're fine, and on our way back. Have some info for you."

[Furiel]

Tony will find a quiet spot, assumedly while we are still heading for the Blacksmith

"We're doing some shopping, and have added one item of interest to our packs thus far. We should be back to the inn by lunch."

I'm guessing at the time but that feels right, plus that should give us time to detour and let me look for more directions from my contacts

Team fingers will head back to the barn, unless there's anything else we need to do.
