Vlad says "I do know teh means of stealth and am at your service. Viggo can stay with the boat."
Viggo nods.
Victae says "A tactical division maybe? Strike Force Phoenix on the boats to make them ablaze and retreat, Scout Force Hawk to observe their reaction then retreat?"

"Victae may have a good idea. I'd like to get an idea of how many there are and how well armed they are along with taking out the boats."
Spoiler:
Re: LPDnD: Life in a Northern Town
I am game for that too. If we fire the boats we could also take the fort while most of the combatants are putting out the fire...but I think that might be too much for us. Lets fire the boats and take out the fire brigade. We should also launch our boat as they will be looking for us along the short line.

Syric has a +4 in stealth (+8 if I use my Knack for Success) so...
It seems like we would want to sneak in both teams.

Re: LPDnD: Life in a Northern Town
If we're setting the boats on fire, does anyone have the means to accomplish that or would we need the sorceror?
Spoiler:

Stavis would be recon team. he would also do Traveler's Camouflage to boost everyone's stealth.

Tony, Stavis and Vlad on the recon team, everyone else on the boat assault team
"Considering the current plan perhaps a small modification, assuming most or all of the forces at the fort come to address the burning boats situation the scout team could easily play the hammer to your anvil. By attacking from the reat we not only bring all of our forces to bear, but we would also cut off their potential retreat corridor back to the fort."

"Sounds like a plan."

"Right!" Tony nods, checks his gear quick, then he slinks off into the night assuming Stavis and Vlad are following.

Re: LPDnD: Life in a Northern Town
Vlad Tony and Stavis head towards the fort. A sound of singing is coming from the inside of the fort. It sounds like a common drinking song that you all have heard over the years.
You get closer to the fort and peer into the window and see a bonfire about twenty men circled around singing songs and drinking from tankards.
Spintik, Syric, Trinal, Victae, and Hammon go along the coast quietly and have the dock in view there are four men lingering on teh dock talking. They do not seem to notice you.
I'll make up some tactical maps soon.

Re: LPDnD: Life in a Northern Town
Blackferne, if you'll allow a tiny retcon due to my being sick yesterday and not really following carefully: I'd like to have given Tony one of the Sending Stones so we can coordinate activities. I'll ask Tony to whisper to me when they're in position, as I don't want to risk giving theirs away.
Furiel, if Blackferne allows it, you can basically whisper to us when you're ready for us to pull the trigger.

Team Phoenix will stop out of earshot and wait for Tony's signal.

Here is the Seafort
https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1Y6n ... sp=sharing
Red's are obviously baddies. Green Lightning is Tony, Blue smiley is Stavis, Yellow V is Vlad.
The brown square on the far side is the door. The walls are indicated by black. The grey blocks are window portals. You can crawl through them (the seafort isn't in awesome shape). In teh center is that large bonfire. There is no roof really to speak of. In the towers the green shading is stairs to platforms that allow for open views into the main portion.
Here is the dock area.

Red are the baddies. Green heart is victae, Yellow smiley is Trinal, Yellow sun is Hammon, Purple moon is Syric, and green star is Spintik.
Grey shaded squares are land, brown is wooden dock. Pink and Green are the boats. Blue is water.
Between these two maps is an open no feature 20x20 map. And to get back to Viggo and your boat is due south.

Stavis will get Tony and Vlad's attention and whisper to both "I think we should see about blocking the door so that the dock group will have more time and use the windows around to help keep the numbers to a more manageable size."

Re: LPDnD: Life in a Northern Town
Trinal whispers barely above the breeze "Got it. We're moving now. Four at dock."
Trinal looks at the rest to confirm they're ready to go, smiles and says "Let's do it" and then dashes forward a bit.
He casts Dragonfrost at K (d20+11 vs fort, dmg 1d8+9):
Attack: 11+11=22
dmg 4+9=13
If hit, K is pushed one square.
I'm assuming this is the surprise round. Here's my initiative roll:
4+5=9
