Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
Syric rushes to the Minotaur and swings having his sword stopped by the armor doing no damage to the bovine bastard. He draws in himself and does another attack which while missing still manages to do some damage to the minotaur.
Stavis's stirring shout lands, but his insult seems to bounce right off the bovine.
Victae follows behind syric and marks the target with a combat challenge

Tony's blade finds a gap in his armor and stabs him in the back dropping the beast but not before he swings his axe in dying desperation.

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
[ooc That was supposed to be a lot harder. I obviously didn't factor in a 72pt crit (Note Victae didn't take the extra 2d6 like she should have which could have killed him) when deciding to put you guys against a level 10 brute as a bossish fight. It reminds me of an adventure I ran in high school:
screen goes wavy in flashback mode
I was running an adventure that was basically Heart of Darkness/Apocolypse Now. The party had found Kurtz who was some badass wizard. We played with a house rule that crits would target specific parts of the body. Well Isaac won initiative and the first attack he rolled a crit and then got 100 on the body part table which was instant decapitation. I was like 'well crap...now what do I do....fuck it let me spawn some random demons to fight'
screen unwaves back to modern day
I always felt cheap just randomly spawning extra demons to fight as it didn't jive with the story. A win is a win, and I shouldn't do things just because I'm a DM. So the minotaur is dead.]

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
You search him and find no mantle. He did mention he put it on a shelf someplace.
On him you do find a purse with 1,006gp, Deathcut Hide Armor +2, and a 2h Battle Axe +2

Trinal scans the walls and so forth for a shelf.
Perception: d20+4=15+4=19
Ah well. It was fun trying to intimidate a minotaur. But it was obvious it wasn't going to end well when he insisted on either Kyros or us.

Trinal looks for a shelf. There is no shelf nearby, but near the end of the hall southbound is a break in the wall heading east.

I was ready to run out and shoot the SOB and he falls over before I can draw. Thanks for leaving a bit of fun to us non negotiators! If no one wants the deathcut hide, I will use it. We should divide up the coin now as well, so it is not worried about later. says Spintik

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
You travel south and get to the break in the eastern wall. Poking your head through you see what you can only assume was the minotaurs living quarters. It is a basic stove, a pile of hay bedding, some rations, and what looks to be a small shrine to Orcus.

Red stars are traps. Green stars are his allies. Fleece is where the mantle is. The blue dot is where you guys are at the moment.
The only 3 dangers you have NOT faced and deactivated or killed are E1, T3, and T4.
