Seeing the minotaur you see a chest plate with a familiar design on it.



"Speak if you must, but offend me and I will have your bones as a foot stool. Also what gifts have you brought to me?"

Seeing a mark of Orcus begins to fill Syric with a rage as he thinks of his wasted death at the hands of the barbarian scum.

"Ah, let's not be insulting to one another. While we will have words with you if you will, we can also have slaughter. We would like to avoid that if possible, but it is your choice." Trinal smiles genially, but remains completely poised, and looks the minotaur straight in the eye, and projects an aura of utter confidence. He's not here to play games, basically.

"As to gifts, we have acquired some things in our travels through your magnificent labyrinth that you are welcome to, with our blessings. We've also acquired some paltry sums of gold, if you're interested.

We understand that you've had dealings with an individual who brought you a mantel. We're here to retrieve that, and hope you can tell us why you would want such an item, and to ask for its return to its rightful owner."

"The mantle? Ah yes, I stashed that away on a shelf. I was told someone would come for it that I could use as my sacrifice to Orcus. But you are three, not one. Which of you is Kyros?" he says walking slowly up a few feet.

"None of us is Kyros. And, allow me to be perfectly clear..." Trinal steps slightly to one side and holds his staff at the ready, "We are here for the mantel. You won't be sacrificing anyone to anyone. You can return the mantel, or..." he shrugs signifcantly.

Intimidate: d20+10+knack for success (+4): 18+10+4=32

"... we can stop being polite." He smiles.

Triggered action: If he charges, I fire Dragonfrost at him and fall back with a shout to the rest of the party.

[Blackferne]

"I took that dirty rag on a promise to receive blue blood for my ritual. I will be paid the price I was promised. If you are not Kyros, go fetch him or his brother for all I care. I will not be cheated!" He pulls his battle axe from his back and has it by his side.

"It was stolen from its rightful owner, and you are not going to dictate terms to us, noble minotaur. We entered into no agreement with you, and we're not here to honor agreements you made with a thief. Either return it, or die."

Intimidate: d20+10=10+10=20

Trinal takes another step back, and points his staff directly at the minotaur.

Triggered action: The instant he does anything aggressive, I hit him with Dragonfrost (+10 vs fort, dmg 1d8+9) and call to the rest of the party to attack.

Attack and damage rolls if action is triggered: 9+10=19, 2+9=11

"If you want the mantle you can take it after you deal with me. I am giving you an opportunity few get in my presence, a second chance. Your options are to flee, or to fetch Kyros for me, or fetch his brother for me if you think he is a thief, or kill me and take the mantle. Blood must be spilled for the blood god!" The minotaur roars at Trinal.

"Kyros' crimes do not merit being murdered by you. When we return with the mantel, he will be dealt with by his people. Your dealings with your god are not our concern. Will you give us the mantel or do we dispense with the pleasantries?"
