As for loot. I have surmised that Trinal has the circlet, the staff is unused and essentially tied to gobo's backpack, and the gold is undivided in it's purse and being held by Spintik.

Tony would have divided the money evenly last night, I've just been busy packing my desk to get moved tomorrow... The rest Tony has no interest in and will allow the others to work that out.

The party heads north and turns east. They travel for a bit before seeing the tunnel do a turn north, turn east again. The party continues to travel east until it gets to a turn south. The party hears hoofsteps pacing in the distance around the turn and s light muttering of speech.

Dungeoneering check on the muttering of speech, is it minotaurish or are there other hooved beasties we may encounter.

The speech is indistinguishable, but that aside you do feel pretty confident that the hooves, and sighs and grunts are coming from a minotaur.

Stavis after hearing the noise for himself will signal for the group to stop and ask. "I recognize that we have fought everything up to this point, with little willingness on the others part to talk, but since the minotaur was willing to work with the seer we might have the option of talks working to reclaim the mantel with having to fight him. Though that does mean the element of surprise is lost to use, would hate to ignore the option of diplomacy or maybe even intimation. Least not forget the possibility of stealing it back."

"I'm ok with going in fighting, or whatever the groups decides and go that coarse of action where ever that leads us. Just want it be made clear now."

After pausing for a moment to allow the group the think upon his words. "I make no qualms about my willingness to use stealth and as such unless it be found to be unattainable stealing the item back would be my preference.

Should that prove impossible I would be up for trying dialog with the expectation they fail and we be required to fight with the hope of pleasently being surpised it not be requried."

"I agree. If it was willing to talk with the one who brought the mantel here, perhaps it's willing to talk with us."

"Should we have a portion of the party round the corner and parley, with the bulk of us staying here out of sight? And if so who should be the diplomat?" Victae asks.

"Prior to the parley do we want to consider a scouting trip? Tony Plush could sneak ahead and check out the situation before we go in there. We do not know that he is alone. Additionally, let's remember what other creatures we have encountered in here thus far and what Tony Plush told you about minotaurs previously. It's almost assured that he is evil and we would be doing this area a service to remove him from the equation. Now Tony Plush isn't against attempting to parley, however we should take all factors into consideration when we do so. And if we do decide to parley then Tony Plush would like to accompany the parley group but would do so from stealth. And we should definately hold a portion of our force in reserve."

After thinking it over, Syric responds, "Well, I'm not sure how much an advantage knowing there's more than just the minotaur will give us, either way we'll have to deal with everyone in there. I'm second guessing our chances of a diplomatic solution as well if the minotaur is involved in some larger plan that hinges on this mantle, I don't think our words will win it back. As to intimidation...thinking back about minotaurs, they're warriors and not likely to be intimidated. Either way, if you all still choose to give it a try, I'd like to go with."

"I'm certainly willing to try talking. It'd be a refreshing change of pace to get something done without having to blast or puncture it into submission. We're not executioners."

"Ok, how about we send Victae, Syric and Trinal in to talk, Tony Plush will sneak in as well and everyone else stays just around the corner if things go wrong? That puts our diplomats in place with their bonuses for the conversation and they are escorted by a fighter as well and Tony Plush can watch their backs for any chicanery without being engaged in the negotiations. Is that agreeable to everyone?"

"That seems a sound plan." then turning to Trinal, "I'm sorry Trinal, but I think evidence shows we clearly are executioners, but executing vile creatures is a noble calling. I'm not out for blood, just for what is right. I'll let you start the negotiations and I won't make the first attack, but I will make the last."

Trinal moves around the corner (others should position themselves appropriately, I'm assuming those of us in the diplomatic party are all moving together).

Once around the corner and within the minotaur's sight, he bows deeply.
