Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
the folks looking for materials to plug their ears do so by either by:
1) taking dirt, applying water or drink or some sort to make a paste which you put in your ear
2) sculpting fatty bits of ration sausages to fit in your ear
3) tearing fabric from clothing to stuff in ears
Please indicate method.
Note: the deafness will decrease your perception based abilities by -2 (example Victae's passive perception drops from 17 to 15), and feats like "Alertness" no longer apply as you are removing a sense. Also while the deafness might mitigate or negate some sound based attacks, it does not affect all sound based attacks.

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
Tony is going with option 3, not only stuffing clothes in his ears but also wrapping a strip of cloth around his head a couple times over his ears to ensure the cloth plugs stay in place.
They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
Gobo goes for mud paste and asks Victae to help it dry by blowing on it. She opts for the ration fat method.
"By the way, if we are deaf, how should we communicate to coordinate?" Gobo asks.

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
Stavis will go for option 3.
Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
If possible, Syric would put a bit of cloth in first then cover with a mud paste and then a head wrap like Tony.
If not, option 3.

I'll let Dood amend later but I'm assuming he goes cloth as well.

Re: LPDnD: Raging Bull
Once we are all wearing protection and we have gone over hand signals Tony will make a note on the walls, update his map then lead the group down the passageway that he heard the singing down. We'll be moving slowly and keeping watch for traps. Once the room enterance is in sight I'll signal for the rest of the group to stop and Tony will sneak up to scout.

Maybe it was Minotaurs, or spiders or snakes or something. There was a nursery rhyme from your youth with the answer, but it is failing you at the moment.Whiteness wrote:dungeoneering check: Are Harpies known to associate with any other monsters?

Tony sneaks and this is the map.
Squares are Harpies

Spikey things are Spined Devils

To move closer than the starting places you will need to roll initiative and stealth to see if you get surprise round.

So yeah...I'm basically invisible, we probably won initiative and apparently I read a book on spined devils...
