"Damn this thing...damn it to hell!! Let's just destroy the damn thing!"

[ooc]I'm starting out at a 45% chance of failure on these things and need 6 consecutive successes as a failure resets the whole thing, even with the stacking bonus for each successful disarm this is going to take a lot of posts for me to get through it, or we can destroy it and everyone gets to take part...[/ooc]

"Tony why don't you stop the first blade in a position that we can destroy it and can then just work our way through all of them that way, so you aren't having to disarm all of them together. Just one at a time."

[OOC correct me if that is a wrong assumption Joun.]

Option 1: We let tony try to lock them all down. It will take a while, and there is a chance (on nat 20) the blade is permanently in a safe position. Or a chance (on nat 1) that the blade is permanently swinging.

Option 2: Smash. Attack blade 1 til it is destroyed, rinse repeat. The AC isn't terribly high and the HP on each blade is 48 (blade one is at 41 thanks to Victae).

Option 3: Run the gauntlet. If you run the gauntlet you will move the distance of the full gauntlet. Each runner will have a chance to do a dungoneering check (DC 22) to determine how many blades will be swinging on their run (if too many they can say no run). If they run each blade that is swinging (somewhere between 0 and 6 base don GM roll) will make attack rolls.

[ooc]Sorry for missing this fun[ooc]

When we came to the entrance, did we see any fallen trees or something of the like. Maybe a fence row?

If so, get said large item to be tossed down the pathway.

So is blade 2 permanently swinging now?

You could go back out and get one or Victae could push each pressure plate with her long spear.

or just have Tony activate them from his end. One question what attacks qualify, I kind of doubt my arcane abilities would have any effect.

"The reason Tony Plush is suggesting smashing them now is because the counterweight latch broke on blade 2 this last time so there is no longer a good way to secure it anymore. We can keep trying however given the intricacy of this trap it may be quicker to just destroy it an move on. If we do choose to destroy them releasing them one at a time from here will be a no problem so we have control, beyond blade 2 anyway."

All attacks are viable. I will give you a bonus 10XP if you kill a blade with an insult! (note offer only valid if you type up the insult on said blade while casting vicious mockery).
