Whitey's work has been a huge help. I just started digging in my basement and am currently 600+ rails in a straight line. I've started adding doors to interesting underground features I find. I have no idea where I'm going or when I'll stop, but I figure a solid N/S line is a good start to any system. I lack the knowledge or gold to start doing powered rails in significant quantity. I do however have a lot of redstones that can donate to help the upgrade project.

I'll buy that redstone from you. I'm a bit short- if you want, there's a shop set up to buy it in town.

I reorganized the subway station portals because I realized they can share walls. Long story short, more portals in less space.

I logged on last night and thought I had really screwed up until I realized it too, then I assumed that I must have built them that way even though I swore I built them X_XX_XX_X. Glad to know I'm not crazy.

Purged 10 GB of old backups and took today's backups to an offline location.

Clean Fill Wanted!
I am expanding my house plateau and could use fill. I've placed a large box with the like sign just outside the spawn point on the pathway to my home. Please fill with fill.

One of our new players is a little young and seems not to completely understand the "don't break other people's things" rule, and has been damaging stuff in the name of exploration. If he did anything to your structures that needs repair I'll help you out. I've sent an email to his dad explaining that he needs to not do that kind of thing and I'm sure it won't be a problem from now on.

Have you guys seen Cuspar's waterfall house? That thing is a work of art. I'm amazed.

Does anyone know who owns the mine to the right of my house? (left side has the giant tower and the giant sheep)

My big dig (a subway tunnel from x=-17 y13 z1000 to x-17 y10 z-1000) is near completion. I have standard track running at least 1800 of it, and a portion is powered. The far south end opens into an abandoned mineshaft.

The Minecraft Highway Department has been doing infrastructure work in our area. If you notice any Easement Agreement or Right of Way violations, let me know and I'll have them corrected.

Hey all,

Ist I have been playing around with Lava and water and did make Obsidian, but I can't mine as I do not have the correct pickaxe. So if any of you wish some obsidian please help yourself. It is in the back of my house in my foundry.

2nd, Is there a map command or some place to see the world.

Thanks,

Maizan

You will need a diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian the next time I'm on I'll drop of one of my old ones if you don't have enough diamond.

to see the world, go to http://rivendell.cyclometh.com/dynmap

It has a 3D isometric view option and updates real time (+/- 30 seconds). It is VERY useful.
It is important to not that any black areas on the map are areas that have not yet been explored; it is not the edge of the world :)

Excellent Map.

So the black boxes I have in my back yard are not being removed by a diamond pick. Any suggestions?

Breaking obsidian, even with a diamond pick, can take longer than you think.
