@Stavis

It is about a quarter after seven and you see a wagon with a single horse pull up to the side of Truque's building. Secured and teh driver walks out to the direction he cam from. Master Truque feeds the horse a carrot and pats his nose.

@Tony a second plate of sauges comes with a slightly aged pear. It is spring time so seeing pears that were kept in freezing water all winter isn't that uncommon.

"Good sirs, I am not one for blustery strategy. On the field of battle we charge and conquer. First let us move into private, and discuss the most direct approach to accomplishing our goals. I hope my honored colleagues will keep this simple. A leader, a plan, and immediate actions to execute. I will offer up my room to meet and plan, but as long as we remain in the Inn we will need to speak softly. Perhaps gathering across the street is best, or riding out of town to stop and discuss in private? "

Gobo finishes his meal, offers a thankful glance to Bambi and Bran, and walks outside for some fresh air. He is still a bit tired from his night on the floor and groggy as he looks around.

"Gobbo has the right of it, lets finish breakfast, get packed and get moving, we can use the morning to think about our approach and discuss it over lunch on the road."

Tony will finish his breakfast, pay hit tab with a generous tip and then head over to Mr Turkey's place to inspect the wagons.

To all those who ate breakfast please decuct 2 silver (1 for food, one for cider or ale). If you had seconds adjust accordingly. Also deduct any tips you might have left.

@Stavis

The time is about half past seven.

A second horse drawn wagon pulls up. The driver ties up the horse, says a brief word to Truque before he walks back the way he came.

Stavis looks across the street seeing Gobo exit the Might Elk, thinking to himself that the other are probably not far behind, seeing the driver head off turns to Branon. "If your willing I can help in getting the last two wagons so the group may be off sooner."

If he gets approval heads in the direction of the driver quickly catching up, introducing himself, that he is a part of the group Branon is sending, and offers his help in getting the last two wagons to Branon's place.

As others begin to exit Gobo hears mumblings of 'lets get on the road' and 'time to move out'. He walks towards the wagons and offers any assistance in moving them along.

As the wagons finish their prep Gobo will seek out a spot in the back, where he can travel with the group but be at peace with his own thoughts. He is just happy to load up and move on to an area out of town where they can speak freely about the likely altercations ahead.

Quarter to eight stavis and another man arrive with the final two wagons.

There are four wagons, each with a horse to pull it. Each wagon also has a few coils of rope which would be necessary to secure 10 crates. There is also a bag of feed for the horses (though they can graze on grass as well), and a horse blanket for each.

Truque hands you guys a copy of the map that he drew from his county map you saw last night with instructions on how to get to the quarry/mine Heppil is known to be at just past Koenig Lane on the edge of the county. It should take about ten hours to get there assuming you stop for a thirty minute lunch along the way.

[ooc I am going to need the names of who is on each wagon and who is driving each Wagon. Wagon names are Angel, Banshee, Centaur, and Dragon following the custom of the NATO (Neverwinter Allied Trade Organization) phoentic alphabet). During the journey I'm going to need 4 althetics checks from the drivers of the wagons with a DC 5. If you roll a 1 regardless of your bonus it is a botch and something bad will happen. If you roll a 20 it is a fortunate event and something good will happen. That 1 and 20 rule will apply to all skill checks and battle rolls going forward not counting initiative. I will also roll some percentile die to see if you have a random encounter along the way.]

Is anyone equipped with a bow or have any ranged weapons beyond Stavis's shurikens?
And I assume the wagons will be moving at a pace faster than a human can move for an extended period correct?

"Master Brago, is there anywhere near the quarry that you believe might make a good campsite since we will be arriving there close to dark it might be best if we camp close but don't arrive at nightfall."

then turning to the group...

"Is there anyone besides Tony Plush who has a particularly sharp eye or has experience scouting?"

The wagons would be moving at a flip of about six miles per hour which a human could keep pace with (or even exceed via sprint), though if encumbered by a pack or armor would start to feel pretty tired after an hour and need to start a series of athletic/endurance checks to keep up. You are travelling about 55 miles to get to this quarry.

"There are some wooded areas about a league before his mine which are used as deer and elk hunting grounds that you could camp in if you wanted to camp and deal with the bastard in the morning." Truque says.

"Tony Plush is a man of many talents. In the business of recovering stolen property the ability to be very observant of your surroundings is a high value skill, and one Tony Plush has honed over the years. It also allows Tony Plush to be an effective scout when needed but Tony Plush would not call himself a true scout as he is not as well versed in woodcraft as most true scouts are.

It is Tony Plush's belief that we would be best served by having our most observant individual in front and the second most in back to watch that. He would also suggest that Gobbo ride in the first wagon as trouble is most likely to come from there and that would put him closest to the fight."

[ooc]I'm just trying to get the people who are trained in perception in the lead and tail wagons, I'm trained with a +6 modifier[/ooc]

1 league is 3 miles. So walk a league in an hour if you want at a leisurely pace. You could run it in 20 minutes if you weren't weighed down by gear and in pretty good shape.
