Trinal is ready- he heads back to his room for some rest.

His night thoroughly ruined Tony takes his belongings and trudges back to the Mighty Elk looking forlorn.

Once I get to my room I have a brief letter to write then I'll turn in to prepare for tomorrow's excitement.

DAYBREAK!

Each of you are woken by the sounds of a rooster not too far away. It is 6am. As you get up and get dressed you smell cooking sausages downstairs.

Ham'mon is hungover and will have a -1 to any rolls involving charisma until noon.

Trinal girds his loins, packs up his gear and heads downstairs.

That smells wonderful. May I get some and something hot to drink?

Gobo stirs and wakes up before Ham'mon rises. He checks for a pulse and finds only bad breath and potentially soiled clothes. Assuring himself that Ham'mon will survive his binge and is safe he leaves the room before being noticed.

Gobo heads to his room, cleans up and heads downstairs. It is still early for most but he needs something strong to wake him up and something cooked to fill his belly. He sits down and politely waits for assistance without calling any attention to his presence (any more than is noticed by those who apparently have not met many Dragonborn before).

Bambi slings a mug of hot apple cider to Trinal. "Sausage and beans in a sec." She then yells at someone in the back to hurry up with the grub.

She walks over to where Gobo is sitting. "I trust you slept well? If there is anythign we can do to make things better just let us know. Now I know you are very polite and proper, and I appreciate that, but please don't hesitate to just order what you want. If you want goat heads, I'll go chop some up for you in a jiff! So what can I get you this morning?"

Ham'mon rubs his face and climbs out of bed. He walks over the the chamber pot and creates an odor that might cause the room to combust. He then washes his face in the basin and heads down stairs.

Good morning, my friends. I trust you slept well? Trinal is looking as chipper as you could reasonably be at this hour.

Ham'mon is greeted by Bran saying "There he is! There's the man who managed to get pass out drunk outside my tavern! Trust you could use some sausages and beans for that headache I guess you got." He is playful and teasing in his demeanor.

Breakfast is served to Ham'mon and Trinal. It is blood sausages and baked beans. Ham'mon also receives a tankard of ale. "Hair of the dog, eh?"

Syric saunters down from his room with a spring in his step. Following his nose he makes his way downstairs to a place next to the other half-human.

"Good morning all, it's a fine day isn't it?" With a gesture to Bambi to get her attention "I'll take what he's having, thanks"

Settling in, he turns back to Trinal, "So, learn anything worthwhile from the Sheriff? From what I've heard he definitely seems on the level"

Trinal raises his left eyebrow and stares quizzically at Hamm. My friend, what you do is your business, but since we are to venture together, at least in theory, I would prefer not to start on a venture that may prove dangerous with someone who is drunk.

Trinal nods to Syric. He does indeed seem to be a straightforward sort. Sadly, I don't think we learned much of use to us in this mission, but we did learn a bit about Belholt, and even a bit of its history.

A grumpy Tony Plush drags himself out of bed and gets cleaned up and takes a moment to compose himself and his thoughts for the day, then he packs up his stuff and heads downstairs.

Tony comes down the stairs with a businesslike and purposeful stride. Once he hits the main room he looks to the bar and gives them a nod.

"Bran, Bambi, breakfast and some water please."

Then he sweeps his gaze over the rest of the group...

"Gentleman."

Tony will then seat himself at an unoccupied table and pull out a dagger and check it's edge while waiting to be served

Trinal raises his mug of cider to Tony. I'm sorry your evening didn't turn out as planned, but glad that you were not unjustly accused, my friend. May your next attempt bear better fruit!

Ham'mon takes a long pull from his tankard. Looks at Trinal, and shrugs.

Stavis having heard the few bits of the conversation adds "Well one thing we did learn is that even the sheriff signals from a distance giving Heppil and his crew plenty of time to hide any stolen goods and will make walking right up quite difficult." gets a seat at the end of the bar and pours himself a glass of water.

"Oh Tony Plush was unjustly accused, but the truth prevailed in the end. If anything was learned last night it is that the sheriff is a stickler for details and evidence and Tony Plush believes it is unlikely that he has been bribed or bought by the dwarf. Which both simplifies and complicates matters."

Syric passes his gaze from Trinal to Stavis, back to Trinal and ends on Stavis, "So you're saying that the Sheriff just goes up and signals from a distance? Did he bother investigating? Did he tell you where he looked for the goods or anything helpful?" said with a confused look.

The impression I garnered from the conversation was that the sheriff has been out there multiple times but hasn't found any evidence. Without casting aspersions on his character, I don't know that he looked very hard for it, but he also seemed somewhat fed up with the whole thing, which has apparently been going on for some time. The flag part is because the individual in question is apparently quite paranoid. It would give him time to hide things, but it's more likely in my opinion that if he is doing something untoward, that the goods are just never at his home, and so never there to be found.

"Agreed we will have to come up with evidence to prove that Heppil has stolen from Branon."

Stavis looks to Syric "I would be surprised if he didn't just seem that if the goods are there in quantity that Heppil ensures enough time to hide the stolen goods in his approach to the sheriff and their approach back to his place"

"So when the sheriff goes out there he runs up a flag and uses a signal. And the dwarf just happens to be in the same area where they found an outlander strung up under mysterious circumstances yesterday morning as well. I hope Tony Plush is not the only one beginning to see how the pieces of this puzzle fit together."
