[ooc- you're right, of course. Apologies for the name issue]

Trinal bows politely to the sheriff, smiles at the two ladies who aren't in a cage and says to Tony "I'm sure this will be sorted out soon. We'll be back shortly."

@New Cops on the Block

You travel down the street to the Might Elk Tavern. It is past midnight and most people have left. There are a few patrons milling about in the street just outside, and Bran is standing behind the bar trying to woo the drunks out of the tavern for the night so he might get some sleep. Deputy Roan turns to you two and says "Walk in there and see if Bran has anyone who's actin' nasty, I'll check the street drunks out."

@Tony

A few minutes after Stavis, Trinal and Deputy Roan leave you see the man in the wide brimmed hat walk in and start to talk to the sheriff in the corner in hushed tones. Make a perception check DC 16 if you want to try and eavesdrop.

@Syric

As you sip your second glass of this "whisky" you notice two of your group walk just outside the bar in what appears to be deputy cloaks.

Stavis looks over the room noticing Syric, giving him a nod of acknowledgement easily telling he isn't someone needing to be taken, after looking over the room looks to Bran "Hello sir Bran, sheriff Fastter temporarily deputised us this evening and sent us here to collect any unwilling to step away from the drink while he deals with a separate issue that arose this event. Deputy Raun is currently outside to collect any that at least made it out the door." Checking for any indication from Bran to any individuals that would qualify for.

Syric shakes his head, looks back to his new friend 'whisky' and gives it an interrogative sniff. With a shrug he tips it back and savors the flavor.

After a moment in flavor country he turns to watch the the two in their new cloaks.

@Colombo
"Well tonight has been rather tame. Tomorrow when the crowds really swell I expect some problems. There is a gent in the corner over there who doesn't look too well. Not a trouble maker, but he may have imbided a bit much. Give him some water from the bucket over yonder if you could. And maybe see if he could be on his way."

Syric looks at the Drow, "What are you doing in that getup? Are you backing out of Master Truque's job already?" he says as he shakes his head with a look that something in his mind had just been confirmed.

Looks back to Syric "No nothing of the sort the sheriff offered us the to opportunity to walk the streets with him tonight only and figured it would give an opportunity to better understand the job at hand."

Stavis nods to Bran and looks to Trinal "I've got this why don't you go out and see if deputy Raun needs any help." Stavis takes an empty cup filling it most of the way and picks up the bucket before heading to the individual Bran indicated.

When Stavis gets there places the cup of water in front of the individual and puts the bucket down out of the way. "Sir it is getting rather late why don't you call it a night." Stavis attempts to intimidate the individual with the deputy cloak he is wearing and his race's natural reaction by most though tries to not overdo it in hopes the man won't react with violence.

The job at hand is well outside of town at the quarry Syric thinks to himself as he shakes his head at the drow. He continues to watch Stavis as he tries to clear the drunks.

@Tony the caged tiger

"Deputy, go fetch Aerda's father, tell him he needs to come here immediately." The Sheriff says.

"Yes sir." The deputy says as he leaves.

The sheriff walks over to Tony and opens the cage.
"Boy, step out of the cage and take a seat at that table." He says in a still annoyed tone towards you.

@Stavis the compassionate

The drunk looks up at you and says rather slurred "I knew a guy once...you look like 'im...but he wasn't either." He takes a swig of water and staggers towards the door.

I will comply without comment, only sending a smug, victorious smile Rieunna's way as I step out of the cell.

@Tony Soprano

Moments later the deputy returns with an old Half Elf male. "Aerda! Wytierna!Are you alright?"

The Sheriff says "They seem shook up, but what is more concerning is what your niece Rieunna over there has done. We have eye witness accounts of her pulling a dagger on this gent..." He pauses, takes a breath, nope he can't say it. "This man and attempted to rob him. This is a serious offense." He turns to Tony "Mr. Plush, as the victim here it is your call on whether you wish to press charges on Rieunna or not."

Stavis follows behind the man and watches him go to ensure he is capable of making on his own before also assisting the deputy if necessary.

Outside the tavern the Deputy is moving his arms in the traditional law enforcement "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here" kind of motion. The rowd drunkly starts walking in various directions back to their homes, tents, etc.

Trinal will assist getting the crowd out, then go back to the sheriff's station and drop off the cloak, once he finds out that Tony is in fact not going to be in trouble.

[OOC: I'd even be ok once things get resolved with Plush if Joun just wants to explain how we all go to our respective rooms sleeping till morning / mediate at the Mighty Elk]

"Very well. We will hold her until monday (4 days from now), at which point you shall present your case to the Baron who will administer justice befitting the will of the crown. Until such time, you are free to leave Mr. Plush, but please don't wander too far, and refrain from entangling yourself with any situations you can't handle." The sheriff hands back your belongings and motions for you to exit. He walks over to the girls father to have a word.
