"Must have used it as a short-cut then to where ever he is heading." Stavis indicates he is satisfied to continue.

He must have been moving very quickly- to avoid us, perhaps?

This is a small town, with little to do after dark if one is not at the Elk, correct? I don't want to be overly suspicious, but I am curious.

@Trindal

"Previous nights I've seen him taking notes on the stars and moon out in a field north of here. Other times I've seen him near the creek taking jars of water. Other times I've seen him set off for night hunting. Came back with a boar that night. He is an odd sort to say the least. But we can see if we can catch up to him if you'd like. Bard what do you say?"

"From what I could tell didn't seem he was trying to avoid us and would hate to go on a wild goose chase mealy because I saw him on the streets. Someone who was not known for being out at night would draw more suspicion and would suspect that Mighty Elk will have a couple who are or will soon be needing to be removed from the premises but should the sheriff think otherwise I would of course defer to his judgement."

Based on what you say, good Sheriff, my suspicions, such as they are, are assuaged. Let us proceed on our patrol.

Ham'mon lets loose a tremendous fart, loud enough to be heard through the door.

The room is filled with the smell of rotted eggs, moldy cheese, and - oddly - chamomile.

The ladies walk with you outside. The sisters take an arm each gripping your arms tightly as you walk. they truly seem smitten. The cousin walks close behind not wanting to fall too far behind.

Aerda says "Tell us another story of your bravery. Have you ever been on a big sailing vessel? We are fascinated with stories of the sea!" Wytierne reaches up and runs her fingers through your hair.
“Well ladies, Tony Plush does not like to brag. However since you insist, last summer Tony Plush did have a rather frightful encounter with some mutineers and pirates while traveling along the copper coast. We were about 3 days out of port when Tony Plush noticed that several of the crew were acting strange. Not strange like they were going crazy but more they were keeping to themselves a lot and when they were talking they would stop whenever Tony Plush or some of the other crew went near them. Not wanting to get involved in any internal issues between the crew Tony Plush kept to himself as best he could but he was sure to keep an eye on those crew members.

It was late night on the fifth day that those crew members revolted. They had arranged for them to all be working the deck that night together so there was only one other crew member awake when they seized control of the ship. The mutineers locked all of the passengers in their cabins and placed a guard below deck to watch us as well while the others disposed of the captain and his first mate.

Now as you may know mutiny is punishable by death so once Tony Plush became aware of the successful mutiny Tony Plush knew that the situation was dire for anyone on board the ship that was not a part of the mutiny. Tony Plush listened at the door for some time until waiting for an opportunity for the guard to become distracted so he could act. After what seemed like an eternity Tony Plush heard voices in the hallway. It was two of the mutineers talking about a group of pirates that they would be meeting the next day where they were to sell the passengers to them as slaves. Now knowing the fate that Tony Plush and the other passengers had in front of them there was no more time to wait and Tony Plush had to act immediately.

The mutineers were clever and they had locked all of the passenger cabins from the outside so the door was not an option. The porthole was just too small for Tony Plush to get through, but that would not stop Tony Plush. With some effort Tony Plush was able to widen the porthole enough for him to slip through, and using only a pair of daggers as handholds Tony Plush slowly climbed the side of the ship. Just as Tony Plush was climbing on deck of the ship he was spotted by their lookout in the rigging of the ship and the fight was on.

There were only six mutineers, but they had the advantage of knowing the ship and how to use it to their advantage. The battle ranged all over the ship and up into the rigging as well. After several minutes of intense fighting Tony Plush had managed to dispatch 4 of the mutineers but the final two had Tony Plush cornered and without his trusty rapier having had it lodge itself in his last victim. The mutineers advanced thinking they had Tony Plush dead to rights, but Avandra was with me and Tony Plush caught them off guard by attacking. Tony Plush spun underneath the first swing and in that spin he drew his boot dagger and placed it firmly in the neck of the first attacker. With a push Tony Plush shoved the dying mutineer into his partner, knocking him off balance and giving Tony Plush time to step to the side and dispatch the other mutineer before he regained his footing.
With the mutiny at an end the rest of the crew got back to work on piloting the ship while Tony Plush went below to ensure the other passengers were safe. As Tony Plush was unlocking the final cabin door the crew began warning that they had spotted a pirate ship. Clearly this was the band of pirates the mutineers had planned to meet to sell Tony Plush and the others into slavery. The ship we were on was not built for combat so Tony Plush knew that trying to make a fight of it would only get innocent people killed so he had to come up with a new plan.

Tony Plush ran up to the deck and ordered the crew to begin taking the sails down like they were going to surrender and to prepare a line. Then Tony Plush went to the helmsman and a couple other crew members and instructed them to prepare to turn hard to port and then to go to full sail on his signal and to find him an axe. The hardest part of this plan was to conceal their preparations however the crew trusted Tony Plush to save them once again. As the pirate ship pulled close Tony Plush gave the word and the ship turned suddenly and gained speed as the sails were redeployed. Not anticipating the maneuver the pirates did not react immediately giving Tony Plush the seconds he needed to swing across to the pirate ship and with one might swing of the axe Tony Plush destroyed the wheel of the pirate ship, rendering them unable to steer their ship. Tony Plush dropped the axe and sprinted to the side of the pirate ship and dove into the sea. The crew threw a line to Tony Plush and he climbed back aboard as the pirates began to fire arrows at their escaping quarry. But those arrows fell short as Tony Plush and crew sailed to safety.

Tony Plush is no hero ladies. Tony Plush just does what needs to be done when bad people attempt to do bad things. Someone needs to stand up and do the right thing and when those situations have arisen Tony Plush has been the one in a position to do something about it, and he has. After all, it is the gentlemanly thing to do.”

As you walk along with the ladies you notice a man in a floppy wide brimmed hat cross the street ahead a few blocks. You feel the sister's holding your arms, and the cousin seems to be taking a shine to you as you feel her arm coming by your side. Wait that isn't taking a shine, it is taking your dagger. She has it placed at your back.

Rieunna says "Ugh enough with the Tony Plush this, Tony Plush that. Do you just say the name so you won't forget? Give me your money or I'll stick you!" Aerda and Wytierne are in shock silent and holding onto your arms in a panic.

Aerda faints.

Wytierna screams and let's go of the arm.

Rieunna takes a step back.

Tony is free to draw his pouch or whatever.

@Turner and Hooch

You guys hear a loud girl scream around the corner. It will take two rounds to get there at full sprint.

Tony will drop into a sommersault and roll forward a pace and spin to face Rieunna as he rises from his roll.
Acrobatics: 17+9 = 26 total

"Now Rieunna you should know that Tony Plush is not stupid as you clearly assumed he is and Tony Plush has no money on his person. So you have two choices, you can give me back my dagger and walk away from this under the conditions that I never see you again, you apologize to your cousins for the emotional trauma you have inflicted on them and you leave town immediately. Or you can persist on your present course and Tony Plush will be forced to disarm you, tie you up with your own dress and drag you to the sheriff and have you charged with armed robbery. The choice is yours. And Tony Plush assures you he is not joking and is completely capable of doing it."

And yes, my rapier is still sheathed.

turning back to Rieunna

"And while Tony Plush assures you that he does in fact have plenty of coin, it is all in a safe place and not with him right now. Why do you think Tony Plush left the table briefly before we left the Might Elk? Of the many things Tony Plush has learned during his travels it's that when you leave with several beautiful women you are either about to have an evening that the bards will be telling stories about for ages or you are about to be robbed and Tony Plush plans accordingly. Now this is your last chance, drop my dagger, walk away and never return or you will force Tony Plush to teach you a lesson and trust him when Tony Plush tells you that he is very capable of doing so."

@Police Academy

You round the corner and see a girl on the ground not moving. A girl crying curled up on the ground. Tony unarmed but has a dagger at his feet, and another girl facing tony (maybe 6 to 8 feet from him) back to you.

The Sheriff with sword drawn says loudly "I want to see everyone's hands in the air, walk to the side of the alley immediately! Bard please check the woman on the ground."
