Beta Watch - Clone Wars and EQ2

Now in Open Beta if you want to check it out. Just getting it set up now to check it out, though I know it's geared towards kids.

EQ2 Extended (the F2P version) is now Open Beta as well. I'll be checking that out this weekend as well.

I've also been testing Project S for a couple months in Alpha, now it's gone Beta and announced that it's Age of Empires Online... still closed Beta though.

Yeah, seems that way. A time waster if anything...

EQ2 Extended refuses to download onto my Win7 x64 system. The Launcher will set up but it loads to an image and doesn't download anything. So far there's no help via forum searches.

After much consideration, I uninstalled Adobe Flash CS3 and EQ2X is now downloading. I love incompatibilities in required applications (it uses Flash Player 10 and CS3 is based on 9).

I recently had trouble with OpenBravo POS (an open-source point-of-sale app) on Linux not seeing Java. Turns out the application .sh file needs 2 lines added to it so it will SEE Java in the default directory. Shouldn't that stuff be default for required components?

I tried out EQ2 on Sunday, but I got bored pretty quick.
