9am CST. queue is 102.
I fear for this evening.
Re: 9am CST. queue is 102.
Lame. Bioware needs to get their shit together. NO queue is acceptable, ever. I really like this game a lot and I LOVE playing with the gang again, but if there are any queues after one month from launch, I won't keep my account - it's just not worth it to me to have to log on an indefinite amount of time before I play, what is in reality, short play sessions. A half hour queue could easily be a third of an average session for me.

I would worry to much about it, its shiny and new and everyone wants to play with it. Once the new wears off the queue's will go away. Also, Cuspar if you quit i will fly to Canada and kick your ass!!

Morehnai with the Snark Side said he read someplace they are intentionally throttling server capacity severely at this point to push people to spread to other servers. You figure they ant to do this for a while let people get "server roots" and then lift it off. The way Jess and I have dealt with queues before is: 1)get home 2)log into queue 3)start doing things around the house (dinner, chores, etc) 4) swing by and play when it is up.
And once in game if we still have stuff to do we cheat by having one of us mess with their toon periodically to prevent timeout.

How long do you have to log in once you make it through the queue (ie. the character select comes up)??

I want to say it is like 10-15 minutes before it drops you out of game and into character select.Cuspar wrote:How long do you have to log in once you make it through the queue (ie. the character select comes up)??

Oh - not then. I mean once you get through the queue and TO the character select screen initially. Can you just sit on that screen all day and never have to requeue? Because if so, I'll try to tether to my phone when i leave the office and never drop connection...Blackferne wrote:I want to say it is like 10-15 minutes before it drops you out of game and into character select.Cuspar wrote:How long do you have to log in once you make it through the queue (ie. the character select comes up)??

No you can't, not sure how long that lasts, but I but myself in queue once, hit char select and didn't realize it and ended up having to requeue.Cuspar wrote:Oh - not then. They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

That's awesome. I wonder if the old NES Robot would be useful to game the queue??

The thing I want you to remember Cuspar is that a queue now is annoying yes, but they are trying to make sure that a few months after launch that the servers don't have weird populations. some near full and others like ghost towns. With a few exceptions Bioware seems committed to make this game not make the mistakes of many other mmos that have come along over the years.
And anyway your kid can keep you log on if you give him the game "press this button to make the frog man jump!"

Myrellia just recommended this link to me, not sure if it works or not:
http://www.logmein.com
Unfortunately the website is blocked at my work due to security reasons, but it might be of value to check the queue times for others who have access. Not sure how reliable it is, though.

A child labor-based SWTOR levelling ring is a glorious concept...Blackferne wrote:The thing I want you to remember Cuspar is that a queue now is annoying yes, but they are trying to make sure that a few months after launch that the servers don't have weird populations. some near full and others like ghost towns.
