So I'm trying to figure out what is going to be the "popular race" in SWTOR. (Vanilla WoW all alliance were pretty much night elf or human). So for some data points here....given the known races available to the Republic what do you think you will end up playing?

I'm probably going Cyborg. If not Cyborg then Human. Really there is no difference between the 2 other than the racial so it's just a matter of whether or not I want metal implants showing or not, and currently I'm leaning toward yes.

Re: What Species are you planning on playing?
I've decided on Cyborg for Jounville and Human for Arillius.
STORY TIME
When Isaac and I decided to play SWG he suggested we take names from characters in a book he was writing. Isaac Palinander was a young idealistic pretty boy knight and Jounville Blackferne was the grizzled veteran knight who rose through the ranks and had a raunchy sense of humor. Also in his back story he had lost an eye in a critical battle when an arrow landed in it. He just plucked out his eye and wrapped up his head and kept fighting turning the tide blah blah blah. Well SWG had no eye patches so I never got to do the one eyed thing. And playing Jounville as he was originally written didn't work for the mmo so the Jounville we saw emerge was what we got. Well I'm looking forward to finally giving Jounville the one eye treatment he should have had all along.

For my Republic Main, Twilek.
For my Empire Main, Chiss possibly or Human. Not sure.
There's 3 other races missing in the poll, BTW...full list as of current build is here:
http://swtor.wikia.com/wiki/Species
Note that not all races are available for all character types...

Re: What Species are you planning on playing?
There is a really cool 1 mechanical eye with a scar running down through it combo in the character generator that I used for the weekend that I think will work out for you quite nicely.
Unsure where I'm going to go with some of my alts. I kinda liked the twilek models so I may go Twilek for one of them. Other than that I'll probably stick mostly with hunams.

Playing around with the different races I liked human female and Sith male the most
Zabrak and Rattata might be cool too but I'd have to play around with the creator more to see if I can find a nice combo I like, I'll do that next beta weekend I guess

Re: What Species are you planning on playing?
Yaj would agree with me, that the human female trooper I made was hot.
Re: What Species are you planning on playing?
Miralauka for consular, Cyborg for Trooper, Sith for Sith warrior, cyborg for bounty hunter.
Re: What Species are you planning on playing?

Re: What Species are you planning on playing?
They're all the same, so most likely human.

By that poll, I guess I'm gonna play a female mirialan smuggler. Which, now that I think about it, is actually pretty cool.

Not enough color options for Twi'leks to make it viable for me. Miraluka.

With the high number of blind Alvians, am I going to need to get a text to speech addon for the forums?
