Tomorrow looks better for me than tonight, I'm pretty sure the wife aggro factor would be high if I opted to not spend time with her on her birthday...If it is tomorrow, as of now I am planning to attend...provided I have the game installed on my PC (Mechwarrior, TF2, L4D and L4D2, Minecraft, Lotro, etc.) I'm good to go. I'm getting dangerously close to my 95GB montly bandwidth limit with my ISP this month, although it is resetting on Friday.

Does anyone have a minecraft server already set up? I haven't played it in awhile, but my friend set one up a while back and as I recall, it was a very finicky process for him...but maybe that has changed since it was still in relatively early beta stages at that point.

Cheerio.

Well I'm sitting this week out. (Prior commitment on Thursday. I should have been more clear in my first post.) But by all means do whatever. If we are gonna be minecrafting going forward what should I download/how much does it cost?

http://www.minecraft.net/store $21.95
Not much to download, as the game runs entirely in a Java browser.

Unfortunately I don't have access to youtube at work, but if google serves me right, there is a vid called "how to survive your first night in minecraft". The first time I logged in, the game made absolutely no sense to me, because it's just a huge sandbox where there is no set goal...you just build stuff. But this vid helped - a lot. And the only limit in this game...really, is your creativity.

Soooo - are a few of us still doing something tonight?

I have a work dinner, then going home and need to do some chores. Should be available by 9:30-10 EST. If not - that's cool.
