How far have we traveled from when Tony and Victea startled the animals and are the men heading to that spot or in our direction?

They are headed to that spot where the startle happened. Part of the problem though is that the animals react to you guys moving. You've gone 30 yards since the first shout.

No choice but to keep moving.

Trinal will fall back a little toward the tail of the party- not any great distance, just enough to make sure they're in front of him. I then select one of the animals facing away from us and as we pass hunched over and moving, I'll give it a sharp jab with my staff in the flank, to startle it into moving away from us and distracting the men coming into following the larger disturbance it should make. I make sure I'm not DIRECTLY behind it, so as not to get kicked and I don't stop moving.

The startled horse kicks. Back and starts running cutting a path ahead of it. The Patrol splits one goin after the horse trying to calm it down, and the other going to the origination of the path.

"DROW! WE GOT DROW!" He shouts rousing the others at the tent who start wading into the herd with torches in hand and swords drawn.

We'll keep going. I'll keep poking horses with my staff in the flank, again avoiding their rear area and only choosing ones facing away from the direction we're going. I get a few of them moving and they should have more to worry about than us.

After the second horse is hit the animals start clearing away from you fearful they will be struck as well. It isn't a stampede, but they are definitely moving swiftly. This gives the military folks a clear view of the party among the clearing herd.

"Halt! You are under arrest!" says one of them.

There are a total of 4 nearby and two more by the tent.

So what was the point of rolling stealth previously when a poor nature roll reveals us anyway? I mean really, a fucking Dragon would have had trouble noticing me with a 30 yet a herd of animals can? And now that the herd has moved my 30 was useless...

Taking advantage of the +2 speed boost, Trinal dashes forward. His body flares into sparks, jumping from enemy to enemy, hitting 2, 1 and 4 with a flash of electricity, and ending up facing 3. "Hi there." He smiles and using an action point, breathes a faceful of acid at him.

Spark Form: Shift speed +2 through enemies, attacking Cha vs Reflex (d20+13) for each. Damage is 1d6+11 to any hit.

2: 4+13=17, damage 2+11=13
1: 9+13=22, damage 1+11=12
4: 20+13=33, damage 5+11=16, crit % 91 (I never can keep it straight what the effect is, sorry)

Tempest Breath vs 3 d20+13 vs Reflex, damage 2d6+10

2+13=15, damage 8+10=18

Secondary effect: I gain concealment until the end of my next turn.

Trinal becomes a sparking conduit of power leaping from foe to foe inflicting damage on 1 (12 pts) and critically sparking 4 for 34pts of damage. He lands and sprays his tempest breath seemingly doing nothing to number 3.

Syric connects a blow onto 2 for 16 points of damage and sundering his armor.

Victae double moves to behind Syric with her polearm at the ready.

Unless it looks like the rest are unable to handle the guards Stavis will try and sneak over to the fencing on the other side of the fighting to break open a hole to allow the animals to escape.
