@ Trinal you twist the doorknob and it won't turn. Even as you apply a little extra elbow grease it won't budge.

Re: LPDnD: Knocking on Heaven's Door
"Well, it's good to be methodical, at any rate." Trinal examines the door, then moves to the window. What exactly does it look like out there? And one assumes there's another door to let us out to the island.

Re: LPDnD: Knocking on Heaven's Door
The window overlooks a few other buildings on what seems to be an island. There is also a small garden. The room you are in contains a door plus the locked door with the red illuminated bulb on it.

Unless someone objects, Trinal will walk to the other door and attempt to open it.

Stavis will look to Nicholas "Are we being judged as a group on the virtues or is there some way each individuals is being determined?"

"During your trials and training, you are each evaluated on your responses. We are not expecting a perfect moral compass, that is highly unlikely, and probably unnatural given your particular upbringings, but rather to make sure your individual compasses are more or less in the right direction. " Nicholas says to Stavis.

Re: LPDnD: Knocking on Heaven's Door
@Trinal you open the door and see a hallway with a long carpet on it. There are three other doors on the hallway and to the right is a stairway headed down.

Re: LPDnD: Knocking on Heaven's Door
I'm going to wait until the rest of the group is together and ready to move; I want us to stick together. Once I have a sense that we're all ready to go, I'll move down the hall and try the first door.

Re: LPDnD: Knocking on Heaven's Door
The hallway has two doors on each side. There is one on your side of the hall to your left. Let's call that Door #1. Across from that is Door #2. Across from you is #3. And to your right is stairwell.

Do you want to wait til a majority signify consent to your stick together plan? Or just go alone now?Jimer Lins wrote:Well, let's try Door #1, Monty.

I'm going to wait until we've at least had everyone able to acknowledge they've been part of the discussion; I don't want to advance the narrative too far if people haven't had a chance to participate.

Ham'mon is leaning over the table.
"The third riddle...it's a shoe or a boot."
He looks up at everyone at the door, and starts to walk over to them.
"I have no idea what the last one means."

"Interesting- but how does a bone work in that context? I like the idea of a watermelon; green rind, white inner rind, red inside, full of seeds. I supose it could be a pomegranate or other similar fruit- but whatever it is I'll lay odds we find it in that garden out there."

Ham'mon shrugs and walks through the door, humming some old tune about a thigh bone and an ankle bone.Jimer Lins wrote:"Interesting- but how does a bone work in that context? [ooc- since it looks like we're largely on board, Trinal will go ahead and open door #1]

You open the door and see a bedroom. It has a canopy bed, an armoire, two end tables, a mirror, a window to the outside with the curtains half drawn.

"A bedroom, it seems." Trinal glances at the window, then walks to door #2 and opens it.

Another bedroom nearly identical to the first, though the window is oriented differently as it is on the other side of the building.

And door #3? I'm not bothering to search right now, just getting a sense of what's what.
