I'm going to put my thoughts here so I don't forget them instead of cluttering the other thread. I think we should talk things out here due to the limitations of a forum rpg. Maybe discussing things more here would let the game move more smoothly.
Cuspar should contact Mr. T to inform him of what Ro said about honoring their agreement with the thought that Cuspar is thankful for the help he was given and felt it was only correct to pass the information along, then mention that he would be glad to help Mr T. if anything on Bryx needed his attention.
Alternatively Cusp could take a direct approach, tell him Ro said Mr T was dangerous and that we know he has his fingers everywhere and ask about where Blackferne is.

I'm more of the opinion the Cuspar should lay all our cards on teh table with Mr. T and pump him for information about what Joun was up to. And while doing so to be sure to put out there what we know about him so that the dialogue is as open and honest as possible.
I'm of the opinion that Mr T is the third corner of the triangle that Joun is in the middle of. Kunga, probably for Sargo, is the exchange pivot point, the Sith douche's that I swore to kill are the Sith empire one, and Mr T is the republic one. And if we're going to have to align with one of those factions to get the information we need, then let it be the republic as they are the most likely to be least of the 3 evils we face.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2 OOC Thread
My only concern about the open honest approach is that Mr T seems to be found of subtlety and intrique, though he does like Cuspar, which is why I am going to suggest having him offer to help Mr T do anything that needs to be done on Bryx. Of course Syric will be open to both ideas, and ultimately we need to figure out what Joun was doing before he got caught, we never seem to look into that.Furiel wrote:I'm more of the opinion the Cuspar should lay all our cards on teh table with Mr. T and pump him for information about what Joun was up to. How would the jedi council (aka his mom) fit into it in this time frame? Could she be part of the republic angle? Mr. T could have spent so much time in gray areas that he turned black himself, though I like the idea of working with him over working directly with the republic.Furiel wrote: I'm of the opinion that Mr T is the third corner of the triangle that Joun is in the middle of. She could be, or she could just flat out be abusing her position to make sure her wayward son gets home. It's hard to say when we have so little information in general. And what we need is just that, information, the biggest piece really being what got Joun all this attention. Once we know that then we can make other determinations. Trusting anyone is going to be a gamble, but because we know as much as we do about Mr T that gives us 2 things we have over noone else, leverage and a knowledge base to filter anything we get from him through.
And I'm headed to bed. I'll be checking in via phone periodically in the morning and early afternoon, but I have Gabby this weekend so my availability will be sporadic. Just realize that though I may not be able to post it, Eli feels VERY strongly that the kidnap plan is rubbish and he will not assist in that, pumping Tsont'Ar is our best option to get more info, and hopefully we can use any revelations we get form him to aid us in our meeting tonight with Kunga's guy, I'll be picking up my suits at EXACTY noon, not having my gloves is giving me the shakes, I intend to gather the groups opinion on which suit hides my gloves the best, then I will be wearing that suit to the theater that evening, escorting Cuspar and keeping fishsticks from getting deep fried.

See, I think it's important to make posts like that here so we can all have an explicit understanding of what people want to do when they can't post.Furiel wrote: Just realize that though I may not be able to post it, Eli feels VERY strongly that the kidnap plan is rubbish and he will not assist in that, pumping Tsont'Ar is our best option to get more info, and hopefully we can use any revelations we get form him to aid us in our meeting tonight with Kunga's guy, I'll be picking up my suits at EXACTY noon, not having my gloves is giving me the shakes, I intend to gather the groups opinion on which suit hides my gloves the best, then I will be wearing that suit to the theater that evening, escorting Cuspar and keeping fishsticks from getting deep fried.

Also it just occured to me...Kunga got probed last night. So he'll probably be on high alert and that nugget of info could be very useful when talking to Mr T as he may not know that currently and info is like gold to someone like him.

Hey GM
What, if any, weapons would be acceptible when wearing suits? I have a hip and a concealed shoulder holster, so I would think I could keep a pistol in the shoulder holster. Would a utilitly belt be not likely to have under or with a suit?

Blaster Hold Out pistol is the only gun you could have concealed anything else is too large. And as you might imagine a theater doesn't exactly want non security folks wearing weapons in a theater.Whiteness wrote:Hey GM

The utility belt is like this:
It would look kinda silly on a suit and pretty obvious too.

How good of a look did Bulwark or I get at the probe droids that buzzed kungas? Enough to describe them for id? I ask because I'm starting to suspect we might be having some Sith visitors on planet real soon...

The rule book says I can use Tiny or Small weapons in the concealed holster which is why I carry the ion pistol there (not that I would bring that tonight).Blackferne wrote:Blaster Hold Out pistol is the only gun you could have concealed anything else is too large. Just a reminder that tomorrow, being Sunday, will be a day largely without Dood unless you guys send Reese down to the bar (the real bar, not the IG bar) to act as an intermediary for me.
At noon Pacific tomorrow, I go poof.

Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2 OOC Thread
Ok. Can we take a straw poll on Tsont'Ar?
A) tell him what Ro'Talth said and offer our help on Bryx
B) squeal like a piggy about Jounville, and what we're doing, offer thanks for his help, further brown nosing, and see what he says
C) offer A after using approach B
I favor C. I will wait until everyone casts a vote. So we should all get to the ship.
Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Tsont'Ar, if sympathetic, might have us undertake something rather risky, a la Ra'Wen-napping. Just a feeling I have. But as I think about it, I agree with Furiel that Tsont'Ar is our clear best bet. Pat has obviously put a lot into the character, so he is likely integral.
(Also, I apologize for being overly verbose on menial stuff like buying suits - my inclination is to a conversational style like Pat, so I can get bogged down in (and REALLY enjoy) the little stuff.). So I get the frustration of Gando, and anyone who gets out of the main action for extended periods.

That was just an example. A better way to phrase it would be that we spend a lot of time on inactions rather than actions which hinders our character progression.Cuspar wrote:(Also, I apologize for being overly verbose on menial stuff like buying suits - my inclination is to a conversational style like Pat, so I can get bogged down in (and REALLY enjoy) the little stuff.). I vote C.
Re: The Taris Event Chapter 2 OOC Thread
I vote c with a tell him the reaction, tell him about the Sith sniffing around Kunga's last night, what we know if him. Then launch into telling him why we think the Sith are.sniffing around Kunga and finish with telling him why we are on Bryx and our mission and ask him since we've shared all that info with him we would appreciate some profession courtesy and ask him what he knows of joun and why half the galaxy is after him.
