The Taris Event Chapter 2

Klak jumps a bit. He had not seen the Gungan near their meeting. He thought this was a private gathering of Alvians. And by his experience a Jedi is not prone to the same "worshipping" an Alvian does at the bar.

"Ah Wailer, I had not seen you there you sneaky Jedi. I am glad you are here. I was just trying to find ideas for what to do in case things dont go well for Cuspar. As you said, we should be prepared in case things go against our first plan of action of talking to Ro'Talth at the show."

Klak gives a somewhat quizzical look at Wailer and continues "I assume no matter what our plan is you will join in the festivities."

[Dood]

Dood rubs his furry temples and let's out a long sigh.

"What, precisely are we proposing here? That if Ro'Talth won't agree to an audience that we kidnap him? To what end? Once we have him, he will be unable to get us an audience with Kunga. He may have information to give us, but we then are on our own getting to the Hutt."

Dood looks around the table.

"If I recall, last night he asked us to register with Saltori Merchant Services as a vendor. Did anyone do that? If not, then we should do so immediately. Also, I find it interesting that Tson'tar is suddenly appearing in our path again. I cannot help but think that he is somehow involved in the missing Porkchop."

Dood rubs his temples again. His head hurts - his FUR hurts.

"We have two ships, do we not? And we have several brutish types - though they may not be as gifted as our friend Klak, here. What if we were to engineer a plan such that Ra'Talth not only trusted us, but was indebted to us? Perhaps if he is not receptive to our requests, we take something dear to him. We take his mistress - though in a fashion such that we would not be implicated, of course. We take her, we keep her on the Wagon and then we offer to help retrieve her for our poor, unfortunate friend."

After I raid tonight I will do rough sketch of the alleyway, and his girlfriend's apartment complex which will have significantly fewer witnesses.

Klak smiles another large ugly Zabrak smile, only this time its an idea and not puke causing it.

"Excellent, we are talking about what to do. I like the idea of using the Wagon, my furry friend you are a genius. Wailer, you could help in this too.

Klak starts to lay out a new plan of action.

"To get to the best of all of our skills perhaps we combine ideas. If our friend Wailer will indulge his ability to 'convince' others to go with him, the he and Eli could get the actress and bring her to the Wagon through any persuasion necessary. Get her at her home, I bet there are fewer witnesses. Hold her there so she does not show up at the Theater and is presumed missing. We have So Leet take down the cameras in the Alleyway and provide a means for Cuspar to introduce Ro'Talth to us there. He can remind Ro'Talth of our operation and let him know we are now registered. After the actress does not show for her curtain call at the theater Ro'Talth will be quite distressed."

Klak is really starting to see this plan work out. "Cuspar can inform Ro'Talth that our company also offers location services. We would be happy to find any lost persons. In fact no fee is needed for this endeavor. The only fee Cuspar requires is an audience with Kunga the Hutt to promote our business after we find the actress."

Klak looked around the room. Several Alvians and a Jedi. What is this 5 years ago? He was living in his past again. But thats ok because he finally felt like an idea was coming together to get them to Kunga the Hutt.

[Reese]

Klak takes a deep breath. "And we will be staged in the Alleyway in case anything goes wrong. We can still have our strike force available to, as Wailer points out, defend our friend Cuspar. Wailer and Dood what do you say? Wailer can you get Eli and Bulwark on board, Eli seems to be mad at some of us and I bet Bulwark would help in getting to the actress?"

[Gandolfini]

Wailer frowns at Klak. "Apparent mesa no clear before."

Then in perfect Galactic "Kidnapping is a bad fucking idea. Don't do it."

Before his accent returns "Weesa should on fight if Cuspar and Eli is in doo-doo and then on rescue."

[Dood]

Dood stands up.

"Whatever. I don't even know what the duckbill said, but I'm pretty sure I don't like him switching between speaking in a civilized sense and then speaking in whatever that whackadoo hillbilly crap he normally does is. I'm heading to Saltori to register us. You all do whatever you want to do. My head hurts to much to really give a shit at the moment."

Dood grabs his jacket and heads out of the ship.

I have no idea what time it is IG. If it is not too late, I will find and head to the nearest office of Saltori Merchant Services and register Aderbrent Services as a vendor, making sure to mention that Ro'Talth had asked our one of our investors to do so.

If it's too late for that, then Dood heads to a bar near the one he got thrown out of last night.

[Gandolfini]

After watching Dood leave Wailer says "Yousa ganna choose whatever path yousa likein but kidnapp isa doo-doo.". Wailer exits the Sweet D.

[Gandolfini]

If they won’t listen to me, then I will just have to save them from themselves.

Wailer heads back to his ship and changes into his Jedi robes. Afterwards he goes to the bridge and says to T3 “If I am not back in 24 hours you are to send the following message to Master Jada. If someone attempts to break into the ship you are to leave Bryx and orbit the planet. If you are attacked or 24 hours has passed you are to travel to Coruscant. Once there you will deliver the following message to Master Jada. If I return and the ship is not here I will attempt to contact you.”

“Master Jada, mesa head to speak to Kunga second in command and, while missa no expect doo-doo, dis message ganna indicata otherwise."

Afterwards, prints off flimsies of Jounville’s kidnappers and the tattoo on the back of the kidnapper's hand. Wailer heads the entrance to the port and hails a taxi. He instructs it to take him to Kunga’s estate. Once there he hands over his lightsaber to the guard without being asked and says “My name is Jedi Wailer and I am here on behalf of the Jedi Council. I desire an audience with Kunga.”

[Cuspar]

[point of continuity - the comments occur AFTER Wailer leaves, but, immediately after them, Cuspar is going with Dood]

Well, crapped fucking buffet. The gungan better not fuck up the small inroad I made with Ro'Talth.

For the record, I'm intrigued by a kidnap/rescue scenario involving Ra'Wen. It could put Ro'Talth in our debt. I'm going with Dood to register the company with Saltori, in case the gungan doesn't have us all dead by tomorrow. When we get back, I'm going to talk to Tsont'Ar. I just don't know what I'm going to tell him - so if you can come up with some ideas, I'll owe you an ale.
DOOD WAIT! I'm coming with you to register the company, and I feel like I could use a nice rum to take the edge off before I call Tsont'Ar.

Cuspar hurries off after Dood.

When we get the data, as I do have a datapad, does it get forwarded to me in full or would I just get a message from So saying he's got my data?

Obviously I'm asking all of this because So Leet's info could be game changing info and people's current actions could be radically altered by it.

10:30am Barf bro's Cuspar and I leave the courthouse, no one takes me up on the offer to have a drink so we head back. Wailer makes his call and locates a speeder, bulwark already asleep
The following times are guesses
11:00am - the above 4 make it back and some go to sleep, Syric and Wailer take a tour on the speeder, Eli has So do his research before leaving for his run/look for gym (no idea how long you plan to be gone doing that, i guess we're waiting for Pat to see if you actualy find a gym?) So does his research but we don't know how long it took him. It is assuming he uploads data to the computer and then to any who have a datapad.
2pm - Wailer and Syric get back (it was a three hour tour...) Klak wakes up and wakes up Cusp and Dood for food, I was assuming they were eating at the ship because there was no mention of going to a cantina and Wailer was there to join the conversation. If So is done, the alvians who just woke up may not have had the sense to check the computers before they left, I would like to have had Syric check but who knows if that is possible. Planning for operation twilek grab commences.
2:30pm Dood and Cuspar leave for Saltori, Wailer leaves for his ship. I think Eli can pop in with his two cents having just returned or having returned earlier and was not speaking up. I would like to assume So is done, but I have no idea either. Syric's action is going to happen in this time period.
3:30pm Wailer is at Kungas (that is an hour to take care of ship business and catch a cab to kunga's)

I think we need to wait until these times are confirmed, specifically if So has finished his research for Eli.



Syric had been watching and listening to the conversations without commenting. As everone had left he decides to start acting like the CEO he is, even though it is all made up. He wasn't always an Alvian, and he knows when to put his religion aside to complete his goals. He pulls out his comlink, "Wailer, I agree with you that kidnapping is a bad idea, and I like the thought of being direct, let me know if you need anything but please don't mention us or Aderbrent at all for now"

He turns to the Zabrak, "Klak, I appreciate the zeal, but I don't think force is the answer yet. We're in over our heads and we need to tread lightly and act diplomatically. Please just stay ready until we need brute force...with our track record it probably isn't that far away anyways."

With the Comlink out again, "Cuspar, Dood, let me know if you need anything at Saltori's. I have a few ideas for what to say to Tsont'ar. I think it is of vital importance to contact him. Let me know when you get back."

[ooc - I will wait on what I have to say to Eli and So until I know where Eli is and if So is done.]

We can go with Whitey's timeline and we'll call it 3 when I get the info.

At which point I'm calling everyone, including Wailer with the following message:

"Gentlemen, So has dug up a veritable goldmine of information on Mr Tsont'Ar and I think we have an excellent opportunity to use that contact and the information we have on him to answer a great many questions. I do not exaggerate when I say this information is game changing and I think we need to all meet at the Sweet D to discuss our next moves because I think every idea we've had to this point it moot and we need to readjust in light of it."

With that I end my workout/run and make haste back to the Sweet D.

Having walked away from Klak, Syric takes his comlink again "Eli, there is talk of kidnapping the twilek or his girlfriend, the gungan walked off without saying anything after people ignored his advice against it, I don't know where he is. You might not be an Alvian, but we're both here for Porkchop. Let's put our animosity aside and make sure these chuckleheads don't do something stupider than getting busted for being drunk"

[Whiteness]

continuing his call "I'll be here but I can't speak for the rest, I also have some plans for talking to Mr. T, but it will have to wait until Cuspar gets back. He left with Dood went to get us registered as a vendor, but I'll catch you up when you get here. I'll check the computer and So."

Syric goes to find So and just to be safe, in case they do kidnap a twilek, and asks him if he is capable of recording video from the security cameras so he can disable them and put them in a loop to hide their actions.

Syric walks back to the Zabrak "Klak, you should go to the cantina you got kicked out of and apologize to the owner. I don't agree with the kidnapping idea, but it never hurts to have a plan b. I don't want him calling the cops if he sees you and Dood outside the theater, do you mind?"

[Furiel]

After Syric's call I'll make a direct call to Wailer and leave a message for him if he doesn't answer.

"Wailer, it's Eli. I understand that the rest were discussing a very poor course of action and you left them. I hope you aren't planning on doing any rash, and if you are I would hope you would reconsider. So Leet's information on Tsont'Ar is huge. He's apparently a republic intelligence asset of some sort, and with the pre-existing relationship Cuspar has with him I think we can use him to gain everything he knows about Porkchop's doings and why apparently all 3 major powers in the galaxy are after him. I bet he might have some useful information on the Avalon to follow up on that lead you dug up as well. This is clearly a huge opportunity for us to change the entire course of our mission and I hope to see you on the Delia shortly."

Wailer is absolutely convinced that going to see Kunga is the best course of action and that having the authority of Jedi Council will protect him.

(Whether this is accurate or not is a whole different thing.)
