Trinal goes to the bar and asks if they have mulled wine or ale, and puts in a request for some food, then will join the crew at whatever table we can find.

Re: LPDnD: Hazy Shade of Winter
Syric takes his drinks. Tony gets a table, Trinal gets his wine and joins Tony. The Dwarves get ales and join Tony. Victae gets a room for herself and one for Stavis, gets a bottle of whiskey and joins Tony.
Syric after getting his booze heads to the crowd and finds men yelling and shouting for the attention of an older figure who is handing handing out gold to some trappers with pelts, and refusing others.
A few minutes later Stavis comes in the Eastern Door.

When Stavis arrive, will ensure he is wearing his jesters mask if he wasn't already and inquire on what entertainment was present and try set himself up to play in late afternoon to early evening, or about 4 hours from now so he can rest up first.
Once that is done will pay for a small meal he can take to his room and get the information on where his room is and let the group know if he was successful his intentions of playing till close to morning but will be able to leave should the group decide to push on in the morning. If he was unsuccessful will state he is going to rest and will be back in about 4 hours and reconvene with the group and help collect what intel there is to be had.
Unless there are complaints will head to his room eat his meal and meditate in bed to keep up appearances until the time he set to be back in the dining area.

Syric will just linger long enough to determine if the old man is who he thinks and if Drayson seems to be the man they left in Brackton and if he has aged appropriately before heading back to the table with the others.

Once everyone is at the table Tony will look at the group and grumble...
"Tony Plush goes through all the trouble to secure us a nice table and no one has the common courtesy to get him a drink? Some friends you are..."
Tony will let out a huff then head up to the bar for some mulled wine and a warm meal, I'm guessing they have stew of some kind...

Re: LPDnD: Hazy Shade of Winter
@Syric The man they are crowded around is human not elven and middle age with some goggles on looking at each pelt carefully before passing judgement and noting his book. Clearly not the Drayson you remember (species and age would not match up)
You head back to the table and see Victae watching Tony stand up and through a huff about getting a drink before pulling the bottle from her mouth and saying "Son, I think you may have a drinking problem."

Syric settles down to the table and gestures back behind him with a jerk of his thumb, "I don't know who that is taking the pelts, but he's definitely not the man we knew."

Trinal sips his wine and gratefully accepts a bowl from Tony with a smile and a nod.
"Possibly his son?"

The clatter and commotion continues through the afternoon and evening approaches. The man in the corner gets a porter to assist him as he heads upstairs with several sacks of pelts.

The server indicates that he is the purchaser for Mr. Drayson, paying for pelts of debased beastery. The grandprize goes to the alpha werewolf though which has not been caught.

Re: LPDnD: Hazy Shade of Winter
Stavis, presumably given the go ahead to play this evening, will arrive in the full jesters clothes over his leathers to help stay warmer. Will first go the bar and pay for a mug of ale and ask for something to put any tips in, reconfirming the cut he will give the house. After that will stop by the table to see what if anything has been learned before setting up shop close the the fire, starting with songs he knows of hunters, thrill or challenge of the hunt, and the like, figuring those will be the safe bet on what the crowd will enjoy.
[OOC I think I'm starting to get confused but I know the Blood Army is in Brackton, I'm assuming is it a different group attacking the Citadel. If yes will do the next part other wise ignore.]
After a while will throw in the tale of the Phoenix Guard's feet of releasing the bishop in Brackton, figuring there will be few blood army sympathizers.

Correct Stavis. Army of Blood is Brackton, their realm of influence is past the periphery here. The coming force is the Chulassa (the mongol like guys you all were slaughtered by 70 years ago).

Re: LPDnD: Hazy Shade of Winter
As he is singing will watch the crowd for how they react to the tell of the Phoenix Guard's prevention of an evil Blood Army ritual by rescuing the Bishop from a fortified building, giving the information as if having gotten the information secondhand like bards would for current events. Embellishing some and not giving out some that would be difficult to know, aka the bishop escaped by boat but not much more information than that. When mentioning each of the members will use titles to each character rather then their names directly to help give an air of mystery to the group, the handsome duelist, mighty valkyrie, friendly frost mage, righteous swords man, and shadowed silver tongue.

Some say "Never heard of that lot, but anyone who sticks it to 'em a-holes in Brackton deserve a pint". Others don't pay attention. Some would prefer a raunchier song.

Stavis after performing the Phoenix Guard's tail will start playing more of his usual tunes include some hunt and conquest of a different kind as desired by some of the crowd.

At the next opportunity, Trinal will quietly say to Stavis "Nicely done."

Re: LPDnD: Hazy Shade of Winter
The evening winds down and you retire to rooms. The lodge is never fully quiet with drinking going all night long.
In the morning in the main hall you see an elderly Elven man in a floppy hat with a peg leg and an eye patch sitting at the bar with some other early risers eating breakfast sausages and beans.
The room seems to know who he is, but keep respectable distance.
Server comes up and asks "'ere for the hunt lads? and what can I getcha fer bre'fast?

Re: LPDnD: Hazy Shade of Winter
Since it looked like the crew had no intention of leaving in the early morning, Stavis stayed on to play till morning, letting Trinal and Viceta know as much when they headed off to bed. Once he started seeing members show and the breakfast crowd that tends to be less interested in entertainment, will put away his instruments, give the house its cut of the tips and pay for a simple breakfast and mulled wine or anything warm to drink.
On his way to his room will let Trinal and Viceta know he is heading off to bed but that if the group wishes to push off towards the Citadel that he can be ready at a moments notice. Also making sure to point out to the group who he is sure is Drayson that the group met in a previous life time, just in case their hangovers caused them to over look him.

"We're on a hunt all right, but we're after much bigger game than that werewolf." Tony will give the server a winkBlackferne wrote:Server comes up and asks "'ere for the hunt lads? and what can I getcha fer bre'fast?
"Our quarry though is well away from here so something warm and hearty to keep warm during the long trek would be ideal."

Focused on Drayson (ooc: who I didn't realize was elven until this thread which caused my confusion) Syric will miss the subtext, "Warm an hearty sounds good, I'll take the same" as he thinks over whether or not he wants to go up to the man.
