To the rest, Trinal says "He demands an answer to his question first."

To the imp he says "We are here with one of the rightful denizens of this city to help he and his people in restoring it. He says you are not welcome in his people's sacred places. Why are you here?"

Firmly, Trinal says "That's not acceptable. You and any companions will need to leave immediately. The rightful owners of the city are returning, and you are not welcome here."

He says to the group, "Be ready for action. He says they're doing something for a 'boss man', and that he wants us to leave. He's not being overly aggressive, but I've told him that he and anyone with him has to leave. I expect that's not going to be taken well."

"No. No. No. We work for boss man. Do job. Do job for boss man, when done we can talks good. Good days you have!." He says smiling at the end in the way you might politely try to blow off a door to door salesman. He pulls the door shut.

"Well, I guess he gave at the office. I'm ready when you are, ladies and gents." Trinal brandishes his staff.

"Maybe we just need to ask him correctly. After all he was willing to talk before. Tony Plush isn't convinced it's an imp. Looks more like a fey hybrid to me. Especially considering it speaks Elvish, that would lend toward that interpretation. At any rate we need more answers from the creature, so in we go."

Tony has not drawn his weapon and will be proceeding into the room empty handed.

Trinal very briefly appears that he is about to say something, but thinks better of it.

He will follow Tony.

"Whatever it was, I don't think we've alarmed it yet. Let's try another tact and suggest we're here to help, by orders of the boss man himself, of course" Syric says with a wink.

"After what I said to it, I doubt that will work. I very clearly said that the rightful masters of the city did not like their presence." He gestures to Zelvo.

Zelvo bristles. Victae looks him in the eyes and gives him the "stay cool honey bunny" stare.

Tony pulls open the door and strides in to the smelting workshop. The "Fey hybrid"/imp turns around. and begins saying in elvish "No. No. No. You back later you come! No is be here!" He says starting to "shoo" you off.

The hall is filled with furnaces aligning the north and south walls. There is a corresponding double door on the far side. Smaller access tunnels break up the lines of furnaces in the north and south walls.

In the center of the room is a large circular oven with raised tubing leading to the various furnaces and a venilation shaft heading up. Over the tubes are small step bridges for traffic. And against the far side are some metal scaffolding in arcs (unassembled).

In the room are various goblins manning the furnaces and other "Fey hybrids"/imps like your new friends here.

Inspecting the central oven is a large purple creature with hooves. Twin horns, one of which is broken, wearing darkened goggles, a blue leather vest and some ragged brown pants. He looks up at the door.

"Wosatti quonce trikwer!" He shouts to the "Fey hybrid"/imp you've been dealing with.

Your "friend" turns to him and says "Macosaa! Macossa! Aos'tallpre crox achaellqu broish!" He turns back to you and says "No good. You go! You go!" continuing the shoo motion.

Syric pulls out some of the gems to show the creature. "Would these change your mind? " he says in elvish. "Is that boss man? " he continues with a gesture towards the purple thing.

Can I tell what it is?

The boss man you aren't sure what it is. Not something you've seen before.

"Look friend, that dwarf there, his clan owns this stronghold and he feels very territorial about people using it without the clans permission. If you can just take a moment to tell us who your boss is and what you're working on Tony Plush is sure some agreement can be easily reached and we'll leave you alone. If not then he may decide you need to be evicted and no one wants that."

Your pillow talk just gets him annoyed. He starts ranting in abyssal and comes to push you out. (Not like violent push more like a toddler trying to get you to leave. Not a threat.)

As for the boss it is a demon known as a Michzul. They are cunning and intelligent preferring rises and tricks to brute force. Think more Faust bargain less Jaws.

Trinal says to the party "So do we fight or keep trying to talk? Because if we're going to talk, I'd say it's big and horny there that we should be talking to. I think Zelvo would prefer a more direct method."

Syric will try and make his way towards the boss man, if restrained he'll just yell towards him "Hey Boss man, how about we work something out that's mutally beneficial!?"

Diplomacy + ? ( On my phone don't have it handy)

"Well considering that's a demon over there Tony Plush would say odds are the little ones are enslaved by it as they are know for their cunning and bargains. He probably tricked them into slavery. Tony Plush HATES slavers. Might be time to forcibly evict the boss..."

"Hmm. Well." To Syric, Trinal says "I don't think we should get into discussions with this one, my friend. These creatures are not to be trusted. Also, I'm pretty sure that Zelvo is going to explode if we don't do something soon."

Stavis upon seeing the demon will have kept himself in check to ensure he doesn't let any drow slip. "I think we can agree that talking is unlikely to work in the end at this point. I say we start swinging."

"The underlings may well be more amicable on leaving peacefully once the boss is dead but I won't be holding back on any that attack us in the mean time." With his body langue making it clear that it wouldn't hurt his feeling if none survived.

In preparation of fighting Stavis will use Glimpse the Future

Responding to Syric the "Boss" says in common, "Dammit, no one was supposed to be here. This was a simple job, never was supposed to be a complication, never supposed to...well whatever. Okay you want parlay, let's have parlay."

He barks some orders to the goblins and imps about.

The one shooing you away asks a few exasperated questions getting a reply. He fumes as he walks away. Work stops and the goblins and imps put down their tools and sit on the ground. Coming around the core curnace to your side (but still keeping a distance) the demon walks slightly hunched rubbing his broken horn with one hand and placing a wrench into his jacket.

"Okay so let's start with introductions. My name would be too difficult to pronounce for your tongues, so I'll adopt a name of yours I am fond of, Hephus. Hephus the Maker. What shall I call the lot of you?" he asks.
