The controls for the gate, are they on our side or the opposite side, ie. could we theoretically seal those Z5 in the back forcing them to open the back door to exit?

The division between the main hall (at which you are at the door to the outside) and the back room is an iron cage setup with a gate door that can be locked. There is currently a key hanging in the lock. You surmise that if you were to close the gate and turn the key the gate would lock.

They key's current orientation is such that if you close the gate the key would be inside the back room with the barred door and five visible soldiers. If you wanted to close and lock the gate with you on that side you would simply need to run/sneak past the two soldiers in the big hall, go through the gate, close the gate, and lock the gate. If however you wanted to lock them into the back room with you in the great hall part of the building you would need to remove teh key, close the gate, insert the key on your side and lock the gate.

Into the stone
"7 rats 2 front 5 back, going to try to flush the 5 back to you be ready."

Tony will make a quick motion to Stavis to cover him and then I'm going to proceed with the plan Joun and I discussed via chat. Sneak into the room, swipe the key and lock the 5 in back.

Tony sneaks into teh hall and uses the power of distraction (ie throwing a rock in the corner to distract the two) grabs the keys from the gate, close it (it groans needing some oil) and locks it.

We are into combat:

Good guys will go first.

The gate (middle door is locked. Bottom area is locked.

Front door is open.

OOC: What's the significance of the red stars vs circles on the map?

Circles are minions. Stars are more senior guards type.

To the others outside (using info that my character has, not what's on the map)

"Looks like things are going to get interesting. Five on the other side of this door, should be coming out in a moment."

Tony will look F right in the eye then wink at him.

Attack A with deft strike vs Ac - first strike ability grants me CA and attack allows me to move up to 2 squares before the attack so I retain my move action while moving to the square below and left of him
Attack: [dice]0[/dice]
Damage: [dice]1[/dice]

Tony will then shift diagonally down and left if A is still alive

Stavis will try to quietly close the door and if not detected will look for anything that can be used to block it.

Tony will then take his move action to interpose himself between B and the door.
Looking right at B
"Step on up and try your luck, if you're brave enough.".

Map position has been updated.

Star A takes a squad to unbar the back door and open up which reveals the trio waiting.

Joun, two questions:

1) Is the back door open now (I think it is, just confirming)
2) Do we get our held actions or is this a new round?
