I take the proffered seat. "Aerda" and I take up her hand and kiss it on the back, and I repeat the same with Wytierne and Rieunna if they let me. "Tony Plush had not expected to find three such visions of loveliness as yourselves in such a place as this. In all of my travels I rarely come across such beauty and never before outside a large city. Tony Plush is humbled by your mere presence. How long are you visiting your uncle?"Blackferne wrote:They giggle at your approach. The one that was smiling at you pats teh bench next to her and invites you to sit down. "My names Aerda, and this is my sister Wytierne [referencing the other half elf]. And this is our cousin visiting. Her name is Rieunna [referencing the eladrin]. We thought we'd come check out the tavern before heading back to our barn to drink some of my uncle's spring brew. He gave us a barrel. It is really delicious!"Furiel wrote:After a few moments and once I'm secure in the knowledge that one of them has taste I'll swagger over to their table and introduce myself...

All three smile at your charms, though the visiting Eladrin cousin seems least enthralled with you. Pleasant, but not terribly affectionate. Aerda smiles "My uncle sent the barrel with his daughter. (points to Rieunna) She is passing through on a family tour of the eastern shelf [the area you are in is known as that]. She's from Kopeck's Keep and tells us stories of the big city often. She even met Prince Andoval at a dance. How dreamy." She pauses for a second and blushes embarrassed. "How rud eof me to go on about a far away prince, when a handsome man such as yourself is right before us. What feats and daring adventures have you seen?" Both Aerda and Wytierne look at you expectantly. Rieunna seems more interested in the musical act.

That is quite a tale, my friend. However, I'm glad that you found what you wanted in the end. Trinal glances ahead. Where are we bound now?

Sheriff takes you by a fountain with a statue standing in the center. "This is the Baron's grandfather. He was an interesting sort. Was obssesed with mechanical devices. His main room had twenty seven clocks at it's peak. He was constantly having wood workers and blacksmiths over to his house to showcase gearworks. I don't get it myself, but he was very fascinated by it."

Trinal looks interested. I find mechanical devices fascinating myself, although perhaps not so much as to have twenty-seven clocks! I would like to have seen that room, it must have been very interesting.

And a noisy one, I expect! I like it when the gentry support such things, because that enriches the artisans, merchants and craftsman who support it.

“Well my dears, telling the tales of adventure a professional gentleman of leasure like myself has seen would take days. And Tony Plush is not one to brag. However as I cannot refuse the request of beautiful maidens like yourselves either Tony Plush can avail you with one of his tales.”
Tony picks up his drink and takes a sip before continuing, a little louder than necessary so other people nearby can listen in as well.
“This was a couple years back when Tony Plush was passing through a small township by the name of Krommer’s Mill. Tony Plush can only assume it was Avandra’s providence that had me passing through town when the troubles began. It began late at night when a small squad of orcs attacked the town and set fire to several houses. The town had no trained militia and it quickly fell to Tony Plush to put an end to their rampage. The orcs were putting the houses to the torch to drive the occupants out of their homes to apparently slaughter their occupants in the street. I spent the next several hours alone while the townsfolk hid in their homes hunting orcs in the street. Often times the fights were 2 or 3 on one but Tony Plush could not let the beasts harm the innocent folks of Krommer’s Mill. Finally after several pitched battles Tony Plush was able to finish the last of the dozen orcs who had attacked the town. Surprisingly the final group of orcs had one of the boys of the village with them and they were kidnapping him when Tony Plush caught them trying to sneak away and dispatched them.”
Tony pauses briefly to gauge how intent his audience is and to take a drink of his ale.
“The next morning another of the area youth brought his father in from their farm. The poor lad had carried his wounded father all the way in to town to seek treatment for him as their farm had been attacked in the night just as the town had. That group of orcs had escaped justice and once Tony Plush had ensured that the town was settled and the wounded were being cared for Tony Plush set out for the farm. When Tony Plush arrived the farm was in shambles having been ransacked by the marauding orcs. Orcs are strong, but not very smart so following their tracks was not difficult for a professional such as Tony Plush.
Tony Plush tracked them back to a small cave complex in the woods, arriving just short of sundown which was perfect timing. Orcs are nocturnal creatures so sundown is just like dawn is for most humanoids, it’s the time just before we get up for the day so they are the least active and alert at that time. Tony Plush found the sentry asleep at his post and that nap was one that orc would never wake from.
Tony Plush then quietly infiltrated the cave complex and began his hunt. As Tony Plush slipped from room to room he was able to find a number of orcs still sleeping and Tony Plush ensured that they as well would never wake from their sleep. Tony Plush was able to clear close to half o the complex before his handiwork was discovered and the alarm was raised.”
Tony pauses for emphasis again and takes another drink.
“It did not take long for the situation to become dire as Tony Plush was still outnumbered 10 to 1. Tony Plush was able to take advantage of the orcs aggressive nature and separate them into a couple smaller groups. If they had been smart enough to stay together Tony Plush likely would not be here today. It took several pitched battles and as Tony Plush was running through the leader of the orcs what should have been the end became the beginning.
As the orc leader crumpled Tony Plush was attacked from behind as a magical attack slammed into him. Tony Plush rolled with the attack and used the momentum of the roll forward and spin to meet his new attacker. There standing across the room was a sorcerer who began cackling with insane glee thinking he had taken Tony Plush out. Tony Plush will never forget the look of absolute shock on his face when he realized Tony Plush wasn’t dead. It took every bit of skill and experience Tony Plush had to dodge the sorcerer’s next couple attacks as Tony Plush closed in. With each step the sorcerer grew more desperate and he began screaming at Tony Plush. He claimed that his magic made him invincible and that he would make Tony Plush feel true terror before he would kill him and then he would have the souls of the youth of Krommer’s Mill. Once Tony Plush reached the sorcerer though the sorcerer knew that his end was neigh and he saw his death in Tony Plush’s eyes. As Tony Plush ran his rapier through the sorcerers heart Tony Plush told the sorcerer the one thing he had not realized at the onset of our confrontation. Tony Plush does not need magic, because Tony Plush IS magic.”
Tony will pause again for another drink then finish
“And that is how Tony Plush saved the youth of Krommer’s Mill from having their souls destroyed to power the magic of an insane sorcerer and his orc servants.”
Tony will then finish his drink and bask in the reaction to his story

With another flourish of his cloak I'll stand up and head to the back to relieve myself. Once that task is completed I'm going to quietly sneak up to my room (knowing that the job meeting was at sundown I knew I would have been staying overnight so I would have already paid for a room in advance). In my room I'll divest myself of the extra share of our advance payment along with my own coin pouch and any extra gear on me so I have only my clothes, my sheathed rapier and my belt dagger on me, then I'll slip back downstairs and return along the same path I left for the bathroom on originally.
Stealth 6+9 - 15 total to not be seen slipping up to my room and back down
