Legend on the bottom

At the bottom of the main forum index is a list of user groups. I set the colors as follows.
Cardinal- Red
Bishop- Dark Orange
Deacons -Dark yellow/gold
Priests- Green
Altarsquid- Blue
Friends of Alvis- Teal
Scribes- Purple (people who are bloggers and prefer that to be their forum color over other user groups)

Keep in mind it is possible to be a member of more than one user group, so if that is applicable to you, and you prefer your forum handle to be one group's color over another, let me know and I'll switch which is your default.

Anyway way we could get the legend to be in order of rank? Because right now it isn't and it would make it easier for initiates and others not familiar with the structure to get a sense of the standing of someone at a glance.

I think it defaults to alphabetical. That is why I used the rainbow to denote rank going more or less ROYGBIV. I'll much about and see, but that may not be a thing we can change.

I guess what I could do is rename them with a number in front like 1. Cardinal 2. Bishop etc etc. Or would that look stupid?

Also any rank colors you would change? I'm not 100% happy with how deacon is, but not annoyed enough to change it.

Yeah, I'm not sold on the yellow either, the advantage of using the numbers assuming another way isn't found is we have things in order so that would free us from the color scheme you set so yeah, grand scheme I'm not that married to either. And all of this may have to change depending on what theme(s) we adopt down the road as well.

Whoops. I think I cleared all cardinal user profile pics. I was testing to see if we could make little rank icons in addition to the user profile pic and well....yeah that didn't work out so well.

Also it might just be easier to make a "Hey you're new here. Read this first." where it is all spelled out, and forum rules like no gross crap or illegal stuff etc etc.

I'll try to install it when I get some time tonight or this weekend. If successful, start thinking of what colors you'd prefer for the various ranks.

I was thinking about the rank colors and honestly I think we should leave them as-is for now. The logic behind that being that assuming we find or build some sort of ToR theme for the site, the gold for deacons may look fine then, but some other colors may be washing out so why lock ourselves into something now that we'll have to change in 6 months?

Yeah. Over the next month or so I want to learn how templates forum design works and go from there. Also I made titles. So under your avatar it says what rank you are!
