Is the server down?

I've restarted the server- was away this week, I hope all went well in my absence. There were some exceptions showing on the console so I went ahead and restarted it.

I had a couple weird things happen.

A bed in my house turned into a wood planks block.
The water flow in my XP farm changed.

Something happened in the Nether today.

Take the Nether Portal from town, and follow my signs.

Also weird. My chickens stopped laying eggs.

Edit: And now are laying again.

I may have messed up your water flow. I was exploring a cave system and found a spawn chamber. I mined into it and saw water flowing and a bunch of obsidian. I assume I came across your XP farm.

Something has gone very wrong for me Jimer. I cant open chests, chat is delayed/non-existent, cant open some doors. Basically stuck. Oh. And /home puts me in the floor of my ground level as opposed to the /sethome spot. And then a few seconds later, I may poof into the proper spot.

Sounds like the server (or your internet connection) is lagged.

Anyone know where to find (A METRIC ASSLOAD of) clay?

I had to make a boat and sail around swampland. However, if you can find a Mesa biome, that would give you tons (and the gratitude of citizens of minecraftia)

Once the lag resolved, I tore up a good chunk of the nether fortress. NetherRobie House is just going to have darker brick.

I think I broke the server. I noticed this weekend that when I did the /balancetop command, the server crashed. I thought it was coincidence. But I did it again tonight and the same thing happened.

It's back up. I'll look into removing the ability to use that command. Thanks for the heads up, bul.

OK, that command should no longer be available, and I also removed the /top command since we have teleporters again.

The issue with the baltop command seems to be the interaction with our economy plugin. The docs say it shouldn't lag the server but...
