The Church of Alvis

Going forth I am referring to Gobo, Ham'mon, Syric, Stavis, and of course Tony Plush as Boom Company unless you guys give me a different name. Trinal's Party (Currently consisting of Trinal, Professor, and Victae, soon to include Spintik) will be Wolf Company.

Currently we are in a merged thread that will spin off when the parties largely separate.

@Tony and Syric: You two are at Master Brago Truque's house in Belholt. It is past sunset. Tony has court tomorrow morning.

@Gobo, Ham'mon, Stavis, Trinal, Professor, and Victae. You are with a broken wagon and a functional wagon, two horses, on Howell's highway 2 athletic checks away from riding back to Belholt.

@Spintik: you are currently in the jail after doing your first days stocks punishment. You have a loaf of bread and a bucket of fresh water. You have 3 more days of Stocks punishment during daylight hours. During the day you were heckled by an old lady who would throw rotten food at you and hurled insults.

[ooc]how far away or how long would it take to get back to the wagons we left behind?

By horse half a day (30 miles or 10 leagues).

You will have no more trouble from him Master Truque, nor from his forge." Syric says with a smile. "But, it would seem you were not Heppil's only target, we've found a few things we would like your thoughts on. We have brought two wagons full of your wares with us, the wagon with the broken wheel was full as well but the wagon that stayed for protection held an assortment of goods with other marks on them."

Syric is waiting for Truque to repond to his last comment or for Tony to step in from handling the wagons before asking for payment.



[ooc] it was 10 hours to heppil and on the way back we had made the first athletic check successfully, shouldn't it only be ~7 hours to get back to the wagons? I'm assuming half day = 12 hours

@Stric "That doesn't surprise me that he was stealing from others. If you bring that in, I'm sure we can identify the rightful owners and get them back to their proper shops."

OOC (it will be half a day to get there swap wagon wheels and half a day to get back)

Tony comes walking in...

"Ah Syric, Tony Plush assumes you have already given him the good news. And Tony Plush thought he overheard just as he was coming in our employer offering to assist in the return of the other goods we recovered, that is also excellent news! If you would like Mr. Truque, Tony Plush can describe or sketch for you the different marks for you now and you can start planning their returns this evening if you would like."

"ah mr plush, yes. Once I see the marks we can send word to them. I trust you'll stay at the Mighty Elk tonight and return to get the other wagons in the morning? I'll contract the carpenter."

With a gesture to Tony, "If memory serves, Mr. Plush will be indisposed tomorrow, but I plan on going back to assist with bringing the other wagons in."

"Excellent. I'll have the boy fetch Wyatt for the wheel in the morning and you two can head on out. As for payment, let's wait til your entire party is back so we can pay them in full, with the crate bonus. And I am guess thing the Sheriff will probably want to have a word with you as well to sort out the particulars for the affair." Brago says.

The deputy on duty looks up from the table where he's working on something and just laughs at you. "I doubt you'd got any money to buy anything thief."

Syric takes a long look at Brago, to try and see if he feels like he is going to be cheated out of his money or if it is safe to do as he asks.

Tony will wait a moment to see if Syric is going to join him then head to the Might Elk for the afore said dinner, drink and room for the night.

"On me at the moment, No. But I do have a bar tab at the Elk. And you are welcome to use it. You can send a boy there to verify. It is true. Or better yet, we go there together and lift a frost toast to love, life and happiness."

The sheriff walks in. "Calm down deputy. Best not talk to the prisoner lest he provoke you to rage. Now Spinti, you'd best to be grateful for your bread and water, and probably get rest. Gertrude saves the really rotten fruit and veggies for day two." He smiles then sits in a chair.

@ Tony and Syric

You two walk to the Mighty Elk and see a diminished crowd. Bran and his wife are busy cleaning up after the weekend rush. The man in the wide brimmed floppy hat is eating a meal and looking to go out.

Eats a bit of bread and drinks some water. "Gertrude would be the lovely young lady that was tossing food my way earlier today. Wonderful." "You know all this has been a terrible miss understanding. The maiden did invite me up to her room. I had know choice but to run for it when that older man walked in when she was in the water closet. How was I suppose to know that she was married!" Spinktik shrugs "I am the victim here!"

@Spintik "Yeah yeah loverboy. Just shut up and get some sleep will ya." The deputy finished his project and hangs the repaired crossbow on the wall.

"Well if you don't mind the company I guess we'll spend the night helping guard the wagons." Victae says. "I'll be happy to take last watch, I'm an early riser type."

"And if there are no objections I could take first watch. I'm a bit of a night owl." The professor says rummaging in his bag for some food and putting his hammock and tarp up.

Stavis After playing his flute for a while responding politely when required will eat a field ration before saying "I would be willing to give our guests sleeping preference so will help with the first watch and take the second, otherwise I'm unlikely to get any additional sleep with as little sleep as my people require."

[ooc- I assumed we were just going to camp and sleep.]

"No objection from me. Stavis, feel free to wake me after your watch and I'll wake Ham after. Would that be acceptable?" Assuming it is, Trinal will set up his bedroll under a wagon and get some rest.
