[ooc]Question on extra damage.
Is the additional damage a d6 or the normal dice of the weapon. In my case a d8?
Also, as we are using a crit rolling table for a possible tripple damage, do we need to use the extra crit damage dice?

Below is the crit paragraph.
"Critical
For magic weapons and implements, this entry
describes what happens when you score a critical hit
using that item. Just as with an enhancement bonus,
this effect only applies for attacks that are delivered
through the weapon or the implement. (A wizard’s
magic missile can’t benefit from the critical hit effect
noted for the magic dagger she carries, for example.)
All magic weapons and implements deal one
or more extra dice of damage on a critical hit. The
number of extra dice is equal to the item’s enhancement
bonus, and the die rolled depends on the
particular weapon or implement. (The normal critical
die is a d6.) Unless noted otherwise, the damage type
of this extra damage is the same as the normal damage
type for the weapon.

In addition to extra damage, some magic weapons
or implements produce other effects on a critical hit.
This information is noted in the weapon’s description.
An attack that does not deal damage still does not deal
damage on a critical hit.
A holy avenger deals an extra 5d6 or an extra 6d6
(depending on its enhancement bonus) damage on a
critical hit and also allows the wielder to spend a healing
surge."

We are using the crit table on what I'm going to call "base damage" so like weapon plus your quarry would constitute base damage and I max it out on a crit and give you a shot at doubling or tripling that. The magic weapon bonus (1d6 per plus) is extra and at 1d6 unless the note in the PHB about the magic item were to specify differently.

Trinal will hit the Spined Devil with Dragonfrost once more.

Attack: +10 vs Fort. I'm using my Knack for Success to get an additional +2.

1+12=13

Crit botch 95%

Roll whatever damage would be and apply it to your self. You really should make sure your left hand is out to the way when shooting from your right. :emperor:

Considering Victae has spined devil marked, there is only one bad guy, and he is himself bloodied, I think Trinal being bloodied is of low concern.

Are there any spikes nearby I can grab and throw back at the devil?

If so, I think improvised ranged would be dex+1/2 level + my ardent surge bonus?

I'll allow it. You can find debris and go all throw it at him using basic ranged attack. Damage is 1d4+dex modifier.

Just in case we're waiting on me, Tony will go total defense since he has nothing he can really do effectively to that dickbag.
