"That's the difference between us buddy, you always hope for it, while I expect it. Worked out pretty well thus far. Remember that night I left with those 3 girls, the sisters and their half-elf cousin? That was a crazy night wasn't it!"

Tony will say with a hearty laugh and a friendly elbow nudge to Syric.

On the boat you have Teagor who is most concerned with getting the boat down river quickly and a bishop who is staring at you in fear.

The sound of city in motion is coming from Old Town and you see guards taking up points along the bridges to execute gate checks on people crossing rivers. Luckily you figure you should be out of town before too long.

As you pass under the first bridge across the river you notice down stream a few patrolmen taking position on the last bridge before you cross out of town.

[Staris]

Stavis will quickly look to see if there is anything that could be used to hide the Bishop and possibly himself from what looks to be a check point being set up.

In the boat is a tarp. If done right you can lay with the bishop under the tarp for the front part of the boat while Teagor steers the rudder.

[Staris]

Stavis will get the bishop and himself in place under the tarp and signal to Teagor to be as quite as possible "If they see us, do you think you can talk your way out or will you need me to help feed you what to say?"

[Blackferne]

@Stavis "I think I can manag, let's just hope for the best."

[Staris]

After getting both under the tarp will reassure the Bishop "Won't be long, just need to get out of the town."

"Yeah, I think it's past the temple, right Arly?" he says with a look to Tony before looking back at the guards, "I get turned around in towns and usually just follow" punctuated with a jab of his thumb towards Tony.

"Very well" They let you pass after writing down your names and the name of the Orange Thistle.

Stavis gets the communication stone in hand as a precaution and will listen for any signs that things are about to go badly.

Tony will continue to follow "Hob and Jen" assumedly back to the inn for a drink and rest before our morning adventures

Hob and Jen and Arly and Syric head off to the inn. When they arrive there are a few patrons talking about rumors regarding that nights proceedings.

Meanwhile on a boat.

"Who goes by that boat?" A guard shouts from the bridge.

Teagor says something in an odd language.

"Very well Sire I will attended to the stables."

Obviously we've dropped the "Hob and Jen" guises by the time we get back, but we're going to be inconspicuous as possible.

OOC: I feel pretty good about how we pulled that one off. Very smooth work all around!

[OOC well I would say not too inconspicuous once in the tavern for a while. Done right people won't remember exactly when you got there so if questioned could say you where always here and had just come down from the rooms for meals and curiosity on what was going on.]

Syric will get a drink and try his luck with the ladies of the inn while keeping his eye out for any of the guards.

[OOC I won't be heading back into town but will meet up with you guys whenever you guys leave town, presumably in the morning and why I took the communication stone. As I won't be entering the town again until the heat dies down enough that a man in a mask doesn't draw unwanted attention, presumably not again as I expect us to have left for the mine before that happens.

Also Joun have we made it past the bridge yet?]

The sound of bells are heard at the chapel. The guards start shouting "lock down lock down!"

The innkeep asks everyone to settle down to a table or their room and proceeds to bar the door.

Some guards start shouting (they are 200 yds away) for your boat to return. You see a boat take to the water with a few guards.

Teagor says "Well we need to hustle. You two need to row!" Point at the oars.
