Boat can seat 4 comfortable 6 in a pinch. Two seats are taken Teagor and Bishop.

Then let's send Stavis and the rest of us make our way on foot.

Tabards off Stavis, Teagor, and El Bishop start drifting west along the river.

From the East (where teh explosion happened you hear cries of "SEARCH THE BLOODY CITY! FIND THESE SCOUNDRELS! AND OPEN THE BLOODY KEEP ALREADY!" Followed by loud thumps of a ram against the front door.

Kortsha fishes in the morning which would be approx 7 hours from how. You are currently at the intersection of two rives which merge and head west (where Stavis and the boat are going). The soldiers etc seem intent on recapturing the city fort. (They are banging on the front door, but it won't be long before they swing round to the back where you are).

"Let's get back to the inn fast and be seen a bit so people can say they saw us there during the commotion if we are asked about. Plus Tony Plush is always hungry after a fight."

Quietly, Trinal says "Best if we move on, eh?"

Joun, can we move quietly along the riverbank and get a bit away from the fortress before moving back into the town? Or is there an obvious way to get back without being accosted by the guards?

Your location along the river bank is between two big bridges. You will have to sneak into old town to be able to cross, unless you want to swim the river to the merchant district. Warning water is cold and the night air is cold.

"I suggest we move quietly and get out of here to old town. If we're accosted, just claim we were trying to get away from all the commotion and ran down this way. Look very confused and innocent."

Crouching down the party (minus stavis) crouch and try to find a way to re-enter old town in a discreet manner. Victae, not paying full attention to her polearm's position bangs it against a bell near the dock.

A few soldiers from a nearby building come out shouting "Hold there! Who are you? Let's SEE YOUR HANDS!"

Putting on a slight "country" tone, Trinal says "Please, we're just trying to get away from the fighting an' back to our homes! We didn't mean to cause any trouble, truly my lords!" He snivels a bit too.

Bluff: d20+9 19+9=28
Diplomacy: d20 + 18=10 +18=28

Tony freezes, keeps his mouth shut and attempts to not be noticed.

The soldier approaching seems surprised by Trinal. He initially only noticed Victae.

"What are your names?" Motioning to Victae and Trinal.

"I'm Hob and this is my wife Jen. Please, we just want to get away from here, we're peaceful people and got scared by all the noise and shouting. Can we please go home?" Trinal grovels a bit.

"I make them, and she helps me sell them, my lord. We were just returning with some goods we had been showing to a possible buyer. When the fightin' started we ran to the riverbank to get away and make our way to the bridge. Please, sir- we didn't mean nothin' by it, I swear."

"Oh, thank you, my lord."

We move along. Trinal doesn't try to be stealthy now, counting on the noise of his passage to help conceal the others who didn't get spotted.
