OOC; What door? I thought the way forward was open for us.

tactcial map
https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1scz ... sp=sharing

Red star is Razvan, Red R is richard.

Blue's are Atrios, Zelvo, Torvo, and Franklin as by first letter.

Tony is green bolt, Stavis Purple smile, Trinal Yellow Smile, Victae Green Heart, Syric is purple moon.

Only stavis and Tony are on the map, the rest shoudl be off map in the gate and it would cost two movement to get to the map's opening at the bottom.

Grey box is Atrios' tent.

Fire is center.

Brown comb looking thingys are the defenses.

To the team in the cave, Trinal says "Richard betrayed us. Razvan and 15 others are out there, and both of Zelvo's friends are tied up. I'm going to put out the fire, and we're going to destroy them. Be ready to move."

Trinal whispers into the stone. "Tony, we're going in. Make your move."

Trinal activates his daily power Energetic Flight. Taking a leap in to the air, he soars thirty feet up and from his vantage fires a bolt of Dragonfrost at the fire.

Ranged 10, d20+13, damage is 1d8+10. Goal is to put it out, adjudicate as appropriate? I'll burn my action point/heroic action to make it work if necessary.

Attack: 14+13=27
Damage: 2+10=12 (not sure it even applies).

OOC: My theory is that the cold+plus the knockback effect will have the effect of damping the fire and scattering the fuel, effectively snuffing it almost instantly.

OOC: Also, my action should serve as a very nice distraction as everyone will be looking up and not down at you guys. ;)

Tony is going to double move as soon as he gets the response.

Join, assuming we are at least going to get a surprise round do I get any movement prior to that?

Also I am staying sheathed so unless the can see through my 35 I can move through threatened squares without taking an oa.

Trinal's action will extinguish the fire. It will start a surprise round were every guy on your side will get 1 movement, 1 standard, and 1 minor action beofre we do the roll for initiative.

Stavis will follow Tony so both allies are hopefully untied faster then the enemy can react.

I stated I was moving as soon as Trinal said he was going to go, so his action that will put out the fire would be occurring while I'm moving, so would it be fair to say I get a single move action in while he's taking his action, then we go to the surprise round?

Who said anything about untieing them. Screw the rope I'm cutting them free. I still haven't heard how long it will take to free them either.

[OOC well Stavis will likely be untying or if Tony will be fast enough along to make sure he is able to work unmolested.]

OOC: I have to go on a bit of a jaunt in a bit, so I'll be AFK and/or on my mobile for a few hours. If I can't respond right away, I apologize for delaying things.

Since I started the party, I'll continue to be the DJ for the surprise round.

I'm being flashy and noisy to distract from Tony and Stavis' movements, hopefully helping them stay undetected.

Sweeping forward, Trinal comes down from his flight and lands right in th middle of A, C and D. I've marked the location with an X.

Smiling at them, he says "Hello, boys. Welcome to the party."

He then casts Thunder Leap (two attacks):

First attack is Close Burst 1, 1d20+13 vs Fort, damage is 2d6+11.

Attack A: 19+13=32
Attack C: 7+13=20
Attack D: 8+13=21
Damage: 5+11=16

The attack produces a deafening thunderclap, Trinal flies through the air and lands between 2, 5, and 3.

Secondary attack: d20+13vs Fort, damage 2d6+11. A hit means they're pushed one square, BUT I'm using my Thunderwave staff's ability, which means anyone hit is knocked prone and takes a d8 of thunder damage instead of being pushed.

So:

Attack 2: 18+13=31
Attack 3: 18+13=31
Attack 5: 7+13=20

Damage: 6+11=17

Extra d8 vs each for any hits:

2: 5
3: 3
5: 8

Tony gets 1 movement (6 sq iirc) while the bolt is flying.

I count 17 squares (more or less dependign on route) to get to the two tied up.

My route is intended to be the most direct one the doesn't have me go through an occupied square. Took my pre-surprise movement, now into my surprise round double move, which should put me right there to start cutting next round.

Stavis follows suit moving a far as he can without putting himself in disadvantage should the enemies close by notice before he can get into position to help untie.

All of Trinal's targets are hit and take damage, and the ones near him are prone.

Trinal smiles. To Richard he calls out, "You chose poorly, my friend."

Can I get a pre Trinal-leap insight check on Franklin to see what his reaction is to Richard being accused of being a rat?

[dice]0[/dice]

If Syric feels like Franklin is genuinely surprised and possibly not involved:
Spoiler:
"You better get out there and prove your loyalty to the right side if you want to walk away from this one Franky
If Syric feels like Franklin is a threat:
Spoiler:
"Zelvo, you decide what to do with him" as he gestures to Franklin, "I've got a mess to clean up out there"
Before heading off after the others.
Spoiler:
Within 5 squares of Syric: +1 to Healing surges, +3 Diplomacy, +2 Intimidate, +2 Speed on surprise and 1st regular rounds
Between 6-10 squares of Syric: +1 Diplomacy

(Anyone who started within 5 of Syric gets +2 to speed on the surprise and first round)

Syric rushes forward to try and finish off A, shifting the last few feet to close the gap with Impatient Strike.

Franklin seems scared more than anything Syric. Not sure which witty remark you want to employ.

Syric's hits A for 11.

Zelvo, Franklin, and Victae move

Franklin fires an arrow carefully at A

dmg [dice]1[/dice]

Victae does reaping strike on A marking it
[dice]2[/dice]
dmg [dice]3[/dice]
miss is still 7.
