Zelvo rips a blank page out of the journal and writes the combination down. Then he walks into the vault. Inside are lots and lots of baskets full of gems, gold, art, magical items etc. It is truly a sight to see. He finds three large rubies and hands them to Trinal.

"I believe that is what you needed lad?"

Tony is going to further inspect the vault door and entry area. Are there any additional measures I can put in place to secure the vault beyond resealing the combination lock as we leave?

A magical ward like the one Trinal "defused" would be awesome, in the realm of physical there isn't a way to improve the vault that I can think of. I'm open to ideas.

[OOC how sturdy are the dials? can one be poped off in the wrong value so that only being in possession of the dial can you hope to open it. Though I realise that will probably get shot down, was the only thing I could think of physical that could secure the door.

On the Magical potentially something for putting in the wrong combination.]

Gravely, Trinal says "Yes, I believe this will do."

OOC: That is all we needed, right?

[OOC oh crap we only need 2 but Stavis is pushing for a second gate at Silvers Deep so have an extra isn't as much be an issue. The other thing was the elementals which we thought we might get some off of the weapsons we took at Brackton that are in the bag of holding.]

You have all the stuff you need for the gate at the citadel. If you want to build a second gate you'll need to take more.

The knobs are pretty sturdy. It would take a lot to pop one off. And if you did it would allow thieves who snuck in to fiddle with the lock mechanism. Probably the best thing would lock the vault, then figure out a way to bury the vault perhaps?

One assumes that closing the vault would reactivate the ward. If not, do I know how to do that?

Trinal is of the opinion that we shouldn't mess with it overmuch.

Do you have a spell for making magical wards? If not then no you can't make one. And typically once a ward has been unlocked it goes bye bye.

Tony will turn to Zelvo
"Beyond locking the door behind us there is no additional physical security we can provide to ensure it will stay sealed until you have recovered your kingdom. At least not one Tony Plush can devise. We have all we came for, shall we reseal the vault and make our way out?"

Zelvo bows and shuts the vault. He spins all the knobs, then checks the combination he wrote down to make sure he got it right before sealing it up again.

"Well lads and lass, whenever you are ready I suppose we can head back to the main gate."

"Zelvo, you'll probably want to either mount a guard on this vault or check on it frequently. The ward is now gone, so anyone with skill enough to do what we did could get in. Sadly, I can't recreate it- but I think I'll look into how it's done so I won't be unprepared in the future."

And yes, unless anyone has other things to do, I'm ready to head back also.

Stavis will look for something to write with like a piece of charcoal "At the very least I can try and try and make some hesitate to try." a note in Drow warning of a curse by Moradin to any Drow that enters. After that will position one of the drow to look like the note was writen by that thief.

Stavis is ready to head out, and makes a mental note that there where members that could read drow.

Stavis looks to Zelvo "May not even hurt to at some point make note of all in the vault, and possibly make use of some to help towards the rebuild efforts. Thought I leave that decision up to you and your companions."

OOC: Trinal reads Elvish, which I assumed based on earlier notes meant I could at least understand the journal somewhat. I don't know if Drow is radically different, I just assumed it was a different dialect.

Even if it is different writing a drow's "dying words" would be a clever move.

Can we jump to the conclusion of our time in this dead city? I believe we're all ready to go.

The party admires Stavis' handiwork before resuming the tour back to the surface. The travel down the main hall, though some narrow nooks and passanges and back onto the main street takes a while. The street you are on was whereeyou fought the "unfriendly maybe friendly shut up I saw a thing" ghost. The air is still and stale. Zelvo continues through the city making the way back through various narrow passages and back ways cutting through half collapsed buildings to bypass closed streets.

Finally you are approaching the main gate exit and in the distance you see night and hear some yelling.
