Ham'mon accepts the sword and looks it over, reading the runes on the hilt and blade.

He gives it a good swing, and says - softly, "Wer mitne di Pelor xkhat ibafarshan."

The sword ripples to life as flames seem to consume the blade. As Ham'mon sheathes his new blade, the flames extinguish.

He looks at Gobo, "Thank you, my friend. Nomag wer mitne di Pelor qanesc malrak shafaer dout sthyr luhi. "

Ham takes the sheath from the former owner of the sword and affixes it to his gear, sheathing his other sword on his back and then redrawing his new prize. He nods at Trinal and begins his way upstairs.

Should the healing surge bonus +4 be beneficial to anyone Stavis will play his lyre for Song of Rest during the short break.

When the group prepares to head to the next floor Stavis will again stay to the middle of the pack to help support both the front and rear of the group stealthing as necessary.

Stealth Roll(1d20)+9:
10,+9
Total:19

[OOC did not include the +2 from my ritual since it doesn't give a combat bonus.]

Spintik does small short happy dance with his new bow. This is very pleasing, but I can't help but shake the feeling that this weapon is going to come in very handy upstairs.

He looks around the room one final time. What is that monstrosity on the dinner table? To the group/Trinial (before he heads up stairs quietly) Would it be ok if I took one of the healing potions?

Finally he makes ready his gear, replenishes his arrows, stores his old bow and makes sure all is secured and quiet. Takes up the rear guard position, ready to proceed up the stairs.

I'll post the map in a bit. I want to knock out some work before I do.

Hammon pokes his head up and sees the following map

https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1zvJ ... sp=sharing

R is a goblin caster performing a ritual.

The green areas are pits with corpses that are writhing about.

Ham'mon's eyes narrow and he scowls as he motions Trinal up.

"Goblins...I hate these guys."

Trinal peeks around the corner.

He whispers to Ham'mon "Whatever he's doing, I don't like it, and we need to stop it now."

Arcana check to see if I recognize the ritual:

d20+6=19+6=25

Whispered: "When you're ready, give us the countdown."

Trinal motions to those behind to get ready.

Whispered: "Looks like he's animating those corpses. I'm pretty sure we're too late but we should try to stop him. We definitely need to stop him before he can make more."

Everybody roll initiative.

Ham'mon was the only person I saw who did a stealth check so he's gonna notice folks barging in.

(going on the assumption that we're detected and it's on like Donkey Kong)

Trinal steps in and hits the goblin with Dragonfrost (ranged 10)

Attack: d20+8 vs Fort

18+8=26

Damage: 1d8+8=2+8=10

If hit, target is pushed one square.

Ham'mon sees his companions leap into the room before he can suggest a course of action. His palms are sweating at the mention of reanimated corpses. He wheels around the corner and draws his sword, which suddenly alights with flames down the blade.

He moves toward the Goblin caster with his sword in one hand, and his emblem of Pelor in the other.

"Foul being! Feel the cleansing light of Pelor!"

Light streams from the emblem of Pelor at the goblin.

To beat Furiel to the punch....
Gobo's up means:
1. He is awake?
2. He is next?
3. He is very happy to see us?
4. All of the above.
