Once camp is setup Syric will take a quick walk around the perimeter before resting.

The campsite is in a seemingly secluded spot not along a trail with a rock cropping to one side. You don't notice any signs of recent nonanimal activity.

Re: LPDnD: Life is a Highway
OOC- What's the consensus- press on today, wait until tonight or simply rest for the afternoon and night and move on during the day tomorrow?

Re: LPDnD: Life is a Highway
Stavis intended to rest for 8 hours here but is willing to head off on earlier he would advise against staying but until morning.
He will rest having a fairly large meal from his usual amounts and meditate four hours unless unable.
If the group will rest for the full eight hours will spend one hour per trail making it look like the group left in different directions creating up to three trails if able to help lead any pursuers in alternate directions.

"Tony Plush believes we should get a full days rest here, give Miss Victae some more time to shake off that poison and we're all exhausted. Preferably we stay here until tomorrow morning so we are plenty rested. The difficult parts of this journey are yet to come."

Syric, originally wanting to press on will agree to staying here to get caught up on rest.

With the consensus being to stay here till morning Stavis will instead of making the alternate trails will travel back 500 yards the path they took and create a branch that heads south for 500 yards.

As the night passes you hear the drow horns periodically pulse. But they never seem closer than two or three miles away. Whatever they are searching for you know they haven't found and you manage to get a full night of tense rest.

In the morning, Trinal suggests we make a cold breakfast and move out quietly and put some miles behind us today.

Re: LPDnD: Life is a Highway
A heraty breakfast and you are off. The trail you are blazing to NE draws you closer to the eastern edge of the forest per the maps. The trees spread out a little more and the gentle hills you had been in are strting to flatten out a bit. Near nightfall you notice plenty of large towers of smoke in the east probably 20 miles off if you had to guess.

Trinal will recommend we avoid whatever that is and give it a wide berth.

Re: LPDnD: Life is a Highway
Based on teh map, the eastern edge of the forest is nearby, and the forest edge runs N/S for a while before expanding to the NE some more. Due west based on Stavis' memory the Drow colony lay. Also you are near the border between "nations".

"I think it might be prudent to proceed north further before moving northeast toward the mountains. It's a good bet that those fires are from either battles or pillaging, both of which we would be well-advised to avoid."

"If there is looting a part of Tony Plush would like to intervene...but we can't put this mission in jeopardy just to stop a few random patrols either. Tony Plush just doesn't have to like it."
